Definitions
- the present invention relates to a flow-type ion-selective electrode for measuring an electrolyte concentration in a solution, an electrolyte concentration measuring device including the electrode, and a biochemical automatic analyzer.
- An ion selective electrode makes it possible to quantify ions to be measured in a sample by bringing a sample solution into contact with a detection unit and measuring a potential difference from a reference electrode. Because of this simplicity, it is widely used in the analytical field.
- the flow type ion-selective electrode is provided with a detection unit in the flow path through which the sample solution flows, and the quantification of the ion concentration of a plurality of samples can be continuously performed. Therefore, it is used for clinical examinations in the medical field, and is installed as an electrolyte measurement unit (device) in not only a dedicated machine for electrolyte measurement, but also in an automatic biochemical analyzer or an emergency sample testing apparatus.
- the electrolyte measurement unit is usually equipped with a plurality of ion-selective electrodes corresponding to the ions to be detected in order to simultaneously detect a plurality of ions (for example, sodium ions, potassium ions, calcium ions, chlorine ions, etc.).
- these electrodes are consumables. For example, they are used in a few months and are replaced with new electrodes.
- the integrated type will inevitably have another normal electrode. Can be replaced at the same time, whereas the individual type can replace only one electrode to be replaced.
- Patent Document 1 As an example of attaching an individual type ion-selective electrode to an electrolyte analyzer, as disclosed in Patent Document 1, a plurality of ion-selective electrodes are stacked, and an O-ring is connected to a flow path between the electrodes. There is a method in which a plurality of electrodes are pressed from both sides in order to fix the electrodes and prevent liquid leakage. Further, in Patent Document 1, in order to solve the problem that the electrodes are separated when attached to the device, which is a problem peculiar to the individual type, the protrusions and the groove portions are press-fitted relative to each other so that the electrodes can be held in close contact with each other. The shape formed so that it can be combined is disclosed. Patent Document 2 discloses a shape in which a stop portion is formed so that an O-ring cannot be easily removed.
- a reagent such as an internal standard solution used as a measurement reference or a diluted solution for diluting the sample is used. Since these are consumables, they are expensive when purchased or discarded. In addition, when the reagent bottle needs to be replaced during continuous operation, the apparatus operating rate decreases. Therefore, there is a great demand for reducing the amount of sample solution for the electrolyte analyzer.
- an internal standard solution and a solution containing a specimen or a diluent are referred to as a sample or a sample solution.
- the inventors conducted research and development to devise an apparatus and method for reducing the amount of sample liquid while maintaining high measurement accuracy of the conventional ion-selective electrode in the electrolyte measurement apparatus. As a result, it has been found that with the conventional structure, sufficient measurement accuracy cannot be obtained when the amount of liquid is reduced.

- the end of the 150 ⁇ m gap was sealed with an O-ring, and the distance from the flow path to the O-ring inner diameter was 1 mm.
- ANSYS 13.0 of ANSYS which is a finite element method CAE, was used.
- the state in which the flow path was filled with a liquid having a concentration of 1 and then a liquid having a concentration of 0 was allowed to flow at a flow rate of 175 ⁇ L for 1 second was simulated.
- the gap in (a) when the gap in (a) is not present, the liquid in the flow path is replaced with a liquid having a concentration of 0.
- the gap in (b) when the gap in (b) is present, a high-concentration liquid remains in the gap.
- a liquid with a high concentration flowing out along the surface was obtained.
- the concentration near the surface of the detection part existing on the surface was high.

- FIG. 24 is a schematic view showing another example of the structure of the present invention of the channel connecting portion of the ion selective electrode.
- FIG. 25 is an overhead view showing an outline of the structure of the sealing material 3100.
- the sealing material 3100 according to the present embodiment has a substantially cylindrical shape, and has a through hole at the center.
- FIG. 26 is an overhead view showing an outline of the structure of the holding member 3110.
- the holding member 3110 according to the present embodiment has a substantially cylindrical shape, has a through hole in the center, and has a slit 3111 in a part thereof.
- the sealing material is made of a material that is softer than the casing.
- the sealing material 3100 of this embodiment basically has only a flat structure for sealing. Accordingly, the sealing material 3100 of the present embodiment can be interpreted as having only a portion corresponding to the sheet portion in the other embodiments of the present application and having no convex portion.
- the electrode housing has a recess 3014 that performs functions of holding a seal material, alignment, and flow path connection.
- the sheet portion is provided with a hole having a size equal to or larger than the diameter of the cross section of the flow path at the flow path position of the flow path connecting portion.
- the sealing material 3100 can be fitted into the recess 3014 of the electrode housing 3010 and is integrated with the electrode housing 3010 by being pressed by the holding member 3110. More specifically, as shown in FIG. 24, the recess 3014 has two-step recesses having different inner diameters, and a sealing material 3100 is provided in the inner (back side) recess and a holding member 3110 is provided in the outer (front side) recess. It is integrated by fitting.
- the thickness of the sealing material 3100 is 0.5 mm
- the height from the surface of the electrode housing 3010 to the protruding portion of the convex portion 3004 is 0.5 mm
- the inner surface (back side) of the concave portion 3014 from the surface of the electrode housing 3010 The depth to the surface of the indentation was 0.9 mm.
- the outer diameter of the convex portion 3004 was 3 mm
- the inner diameter of the through hole of the holding member 3110 was 3.1 mm.
- the outer diameter of the convex portion 3004 of the first electrode housing is Since the inner diameter of the through hole of the holding member 3110 provided in the concave portion 3014 of the second electrode housing is smaller, the convex portion 3004 passes through the through hole of the holding member 3110. Further, the thickness of the portion combining the convex portion 3004 and the concave portion 3014 (with the sealant installed) is 0.1 mm thicker than the other portions of the electrode housing 3010.
- the holding member 3110 does not protrude from the surface of the housing 3010, and the surface of the housing 3010 serves as a gap defining portion. Further, by making the holding member 3110 thicker, the holding member 3110 protrudes from the surface of the housing 3010, and the depression on the outside (front side) of the recess 3014 is the first gap defining portion, and the holding member 3110 is the second gap defining. As a part, it can also have a function.
- the sealing material when electrodes having the same shape are stacked and mounted on the apparatus, when the sealing material is pressed with a pressure within a certain range (for example, 5 to 50 N), the gap defining portion and the casing of the other electrode are separated. By contacting, the gap between the electrodes is kept constant, and the seal material is prevented from being excessively crushed.
- a certain range for example, 5 to 50 N
- the holding member 3110 is formed using an elastic material (POM), and the outer diameter of the holding member 3110 is formed to be slightly larger than the inner diameter of the recess outside the recess 3014.
- the holding member 3110 functions as a C-ring, and has an effect that it can be efficiently held simply by being fitted into a recess outside the recess 3014 of the electrode housing 3010.
- the same hard vinyl chloride as that of the electrode housing is used as the material of the holding member 3110, and the holding member 3110 has a simple donut shape without providing the slit 3111. It can also be integrated by bonding by sonic welding or the like. Since the operation becomes complicated if the sealing material is dropped during electrode replacement or handling, it is a great advantage for the individual type electrode that the sealing material is securely held in the electrode housing. When the sealing material is too thin, the surface roughness of the body cannot be absorbed and the sealing performance is lowered.
- the thickness of the sealing material is set to 0.01 mm or more.
- the positions of the flow paths of the plurality of electrode housings can be accurately arranged using the positioning holes 3012. Specifically, by using a positioning pin (not shown) having an outer diameter that is the same as or slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the positioning hole 3012 and passing it through the positioning holes 3012 of the plurality of electrode housings, The hole 3012 for positioning the electrode housing can be aligned on the same axis. Each electrode housing can be aligned on the same axis by the convex portion 3004 and the concave portion 3014 provided with the holding member. However, the alignment of the positioning holes 3012 is used in combination.
- the positions of the flow paths of the plurality of electrode housings can be more accurately arranged. Accordingly, there is an effect that it is possible to prevent the flow paths in the flow path connecting portion from being displaced and to avoid the adverse effects such as liquid residue and bubble generation that may be caused by the displacement.

It includes a flow path 1231 that penetrates the housing 1230, a groove portion 1213 for electrode relative positioning, and a recess portion 1214 for flow path connection.

- the convex portion of the sealing material is formed to be wider and shorter than the width of the concave portion for alignment of the housing, it is possible to efficiently integrate the sealing material 1302 simply by fitting it into the housing 1310 without the need for an adhesive or welding. Since the operation becomes complicated if the seal material at the flow path connection portion of the measurement unit is dropped during electrode replacement, it is a great advantage that the seal material is securely held in the measurement unit housing. In addition, only the sealing material can be replaced at the time of apparatus maintenance. In addition, the electrode housing uses injection molded plastic, and the plane accuracy is not so high. For this reason, when the sealing material is too thin, the surface roughness of the body cannot be absorbed and the sealing performance is lowered. Therefore, the thickness c of the seat portion is set to 0.01 mm or more.

- FIG. 17 is a schematic diagram illustrating an example of a connection structure of an electrolyte measurement unit and an ion selective electrode.
- (a) is an electrode having the flow path connection part structure of the present invention shown in FIG. 10 between the upstream flow path connection part 1701 and the downstream flow path connection part 1702 of the measurement unit of the present invention shown in FIG.
- (b) is the state when the configuration of (a) is pressed from both sides.
- the upstream flow path connection portion 1701 provided with the sealing material is the most upstream flow path connection portion.
- the gap between the upstream-side flow path connecting portions greatly affects the measurement accuracy for the surface sensor, it is desirable that the upstream-side sealing material is always kept in a good state.

- the sealing material 1721 attached to the flow path connection portion of the measurement unit is not normally replaced and may be replaced at the time of apparatus maintenance, but it is a burden on the user or service person. It is the state before being arranged and pressed from both sides, and (b) is the state when pressing the configuration of (a) from both sides. Since the liquid flows through the flow path 1820 from the direction of the arrow F, in this configuration, the upstream flow path connection portion 1801 that does not include the sealing material is the most upstream flow path connection portion. Therefore, in the structure of the present invention, the upstream side sealing material is also replaced simultaneously with the replacement of the ion selective electrode.
- the sealing material 1821 provided in the upstream-side flow path connection portion 1801 of the measurement unit is not periodically replaced.
- the sealing material deteriorates, a gap is formed between the flow paths at the most downstream, and the liquid stays. Even if it is easy to occur, it hardly affects the measurement value of the upstream electrode. Therefore, the structure of the present invention has higher measurement reliability with respect to the deterioration of the sealing material than the conventional structure. In addition, the burden on the user or service person is reduced, and the maintainability is improved.
