Abstract
Description
そのため、従来は、ハンドグラインダを用いて手作業により転動体の軌道面の端部に面取りを形成することが行なわれていた。
また、転動体の軌道面の端部に面取りが形成された案内レールを有する従来の直動案内装置においては、転動体が面取りに部分に衝突すると、転動体に圧痕が生じ、スライダが案内レールを走行している間に、転動体に剥離が発生する可能性がある。また、案内レールの面取り部分に転動体が衝突するたびにその面取り部分が欠損する可能性がある。さらには、転動体が面取りに部分に衝突することにより、繋がれている案内レール同士の位置ズレが生じる可能性がある。
特許文献1に開示された発明は、軌道レールの接続部に設けたスリットから楔部材を除去し、軌道レールの端部の弾性変形を除去することにより、軌道レールの端部の転動体の軌道面をなだらかに傾斜させた転動体の軌道面に形成する技術である。
一方、特許文献2に開示された発明は、円弧レールの接続部にクラウニングを設ける技術である。このクラウニングの長さはスライダの長さの1/2に規定され、クラウニングの深さは静定格荷重負荷時のボール変形量に設定される。
また、ボルトによって案内レールを基台等に取り付けるとき、ボルト通し穴の設置位置の精度によって、案内レールの端面がずれるため、段差が生じることがあった。
一方、特許文献2に開示された実施例でも、転動体が損傷防止のための傾斜部深さとして1~50μmを例として挙げているが、接続部における幅方向のずれや荷重条件によっては、傾斜部の深さが過剰であったり、不足する可能性もあり、耐久性の低下を防止する効果に懸念があった。
そこで、本発明は上記課題に着目してなされたものであり、その目的は、端部にテーパー部が設けられた案内レールの耐久性の低下を確実に抑制できる直動案内装置を提供することにある。
上記案内レール及び上記スライダは、互いに対向する位置に、上記転動体の転動通路を形成する軌道面をそれぞれ有し、
上記軌道面は、上記案内レールの長手方向に延び、
上記転動体は、上記転動通路に配置され、
上記転動体を介して上記案内レールに対して上記スライダが移動する直動案内装置において、
上記案内レールの端部は、上記長手方向に徐々に幅方向の寸法が縮小されてテーパー部を構成し、
上記テーパー部の長さLが、上記転動体の直径rの0.5倍以上、1.5倍以下であり、
上記テーパー部の深さtと、一の案内レールと他の案内レールとの幅方向の段差量Aと、転動体弾性変形量Bと、上記軌道面に対する上記転動体の接触角αとが下記(1)を満たす。
以下、直動案内装置の実施形態について図面を参照して説明する。
図1は、直動案内装置のある実施形態における構成を示す斜視図である。また、図2は、直動案内装置のある実施形態における案内レールの構成を示す平面図である。また、図3(a)~(d)は、直動案内装置のある実施形態においてテーパー部の長さと転動体との関係を示す平面図である。また、図4(a)は図1のIVa-IVa線に沿う断面図、図4(b),(c)は転動体のエッジに対する挙動を示す側面図である。
図1に示すように、本実施形態の直動案内装置1は、案内レール10と、案内レール10を跨いで組み付けられたスライダ20とを備えている。案内レール10の両側面には、案内レール10の長手方向に延びる2条の軌道面11,11が形成されている。スライダ20は、U字形の断面形状をなし、その開口側に配置された案内レール10にスライダ20が跨る態様で位置している。
また、図4(a)に示すように、スライダ20の内側面には、軌道面11に対向する軌道面21,21を有しており、軌道面11と軌道面21とによって転動路が形成されている。この転動路は、図示しない転動体戻し路及び方向転換路に連通して無限軌道を形成し、転動路内に複数の転動体30が装填されている。これら複数の転動体30は、案内レール10に対するスライダ20の相対移動に伴って転動路内を転動しながら無限循環する。
図1に示すように、本実施形態の直動案内装置1の案内レール10は、本体部10Aと、その本体部10Aの端部に設けられ、長手方向に沿って幅方向の寸法が縮小してなるテーパー部10Bとを有する。ここで、上記「幅方向」とは、長手方向及び高さ方向(案内レール10を基準としてスライダ20及び基台(図示せず)が設置されている方向)に直交する方向を指す。また、本体部10Aは、長手方向に直交する面における断面形状がほぼ同一の部分である。また、本体部10Aとテーパー部10Bとの境界部分をエッジ部10Cとする。
本実施形態の直動案内装置1は、図2に示すように、本体部10Aの端部にテーパー部10Bが設けられた案内レール10の端面(テーパー部10Bの端面でもある)10a同士を突き合わせて接続して運用される。
テーパー部10Bの長さ(テーパー部10Bの長手方向の寸法)Lは、転動体30の直径rの0.5倍以上、1.5倍以下である。ここで、図3(a)~(d)を参照して、テーパー部の長さと転動体との関係について説明する。なお、転動体としては、「ボール」や「ころ(ローラ)」が挙げられ、これらのうち、「ころ(ローラ)」である場合の直径rは、その(回転)軸を中心とした円形の面の直径を指す。
まず、長さLが、直径rの0.5倍の場合は、図3(a)に示すように、転動体30がテーパー部10Bにて減速されるため、本体部10Aとテーパー部10Bとの境界であるエッジ部10Cに強く当たることはない。よって、転動体30に傷がつかない。
次に、長さLが、直径rの0.5倍未満の場合は、図3(c)に示すように、転動体30がエッジ10Cに強く当たり、転動体30に傷がつくことがある。
次に、長さLが、直径rの1.5倍超の場合は、図3(d)に示すように、転動体30がテーパー部10Bを駆け上がる際に減速する。そのため、転動体30が転動路内で詰まり、スライダ20が走行しないおそれがある。
テーパー部10Bの深さ(エッジ部10Cから端面10aまでの一方の側面における幅方向に減少した寸法)tは、下記(1)を満たす。ここで、下記(1)において、Aは一の案内レールと他の案内レールとの幅方向の接続部段差量(mm)であり、Bは転動体弾性変形量(mm)である。接触角αは45°~50°が好ましい。
接続部段差量A(mm)は、図5に示すように、2つの案内レール10,10の端面10a,10aを互いに突き当てたときの幅方向に生じる段差の寸法を指す。この段差は、例えば、案内レール10を基台(図示せず)にボルトで固定するためのボルト通し穴12の位置の精度、案内レール10の端面10aの平面度及び真直度、案内レール10の端面10aの寸法公差などによって生じる。
転動体弾性変形量Bは、図4(a)~(c)に示すように、転動路内の転動体30がラジアル荷重を受けたときの弾性変形量(mm)である。ここで、図4(a)に示すように、ラジアル荷重Fを受けたときの転動体30の弾性変形量の水平成分(図中「A」の向き)はB/tanαで表すことができる。しかし、図4(b),(c)に示すように、水平方向の弾性変形量を大きく考慮しないと、転動体30が変形したままエッジ10Cに当たり、エッジ10Cから転動体30に受ける応力が大きくなる。よって、転動体30の弾性変形量の水平成分は、大きく見積もる意味で転動体弾性変形量B/cosαとした。
ここで、転動体30が「ボール」か「ころ(ローラ)」かによって、転動体弾性変形量Bの規定は異なる。
転動体30が「ボール」である場合、転動体弾性変形量Bは、下記(2)で表される。
また、案内レールの端部にテーパー部を構成したことにより、2つの案内レールを通過する際の転動体がテーパー部に与える衝撃が弱いため、転動体の剥離や案内レールの端部の欠損や案内レール同士の位置ズレ等の発生を低減させることができる。

前記案内レール及び前記スライダは、互いに対向する位置に、前記転動体の転動通路を形成する軌道面をそれぞれ有し、
前記軌道面は、前記案内レールの長手方向に延び、
前記転動体は、前記転動通路に配置され、
前記転動体を介して前記案内レールに対して前記スライダが移動し、
前記案内レールの端部は、前記長手方向に徐々に幅方向の寸法が縮小されてテーパー部を構成し、
前記テーパー部の長さLが、前記転動体の直径rの0.5倍以上、1.5倍以下であり、
前記テーパー部の深さtと、一の案内レールと他の案内レールとの幅方向の段差量Aと、転動体弾性変形量Bと、前記軌道面に対する前記転動体の接触角αとが下記(1)を満たすことを特徴とする直動案内装置。
