Definitions
- the present invention relates to a protective cover for a welding gun suitable for use in a guide groove type welding gun.
- a welding gun to be mounted on a robot or the like a fixed gun arm fixed to the gun body, a movable gun arm facing the fixed gun arm, and a drive device provided on the gun body side are provided, and the movable gun arm is formed on the gun body side.
- a guide type is known which is connected to an arm holder which is movable along a guide groove, and a movable gun arm is opened and closed by a driving device via the arm holder.
- Patent Document 1 a sheet-like cover member is provided, and one end of the cover member is placed on the portion of the gun body where the gap between the fixed gun arm and the movable gun arm is located in the closed state of the movable gun arm. What fixes and fixes the other end part of a cover member to an arm holder is disclosed. According to this, the cover member is expanded and folded in accordance with the opening / closing operation of the movable gun arm, and the sputter intrusion path to the gun body is always shielded by the cover member regardless of the opening / closing of the movable gun arm.
- the cover member disclosed in Patent Document 1 can only guard a part of the spatter flying from the contact position between the electrode and the workpiece toward the gun body, and depending on the spatter flying path, Intrusion to the body may not be prevented. That is, there is one in which a plurality of welding guns are mounted on one robot or the like. In this case, in the situation where one welding gun is moving and the other welding gun is open and the movable gun arm is opened, the spattering path of the spatter coming from the working welding gun is prevented by the cover member of the pause welding gun. Since it is different from the flight path that can be completely closed, spatter enters the gun body.
- An object of the present invention is to provide a protective cover for a welding gun that can reliably prevent spatter generated during welding from entering the gun body and further improve the durability of the welding gun. .
- the invention of (1) includes a fixed gun arm fixed to the gun body, a movable gun arm facing the fixed gun arm, and a drive device provided on the gun body side, wherein the movable gun arm is formed on the gun body side.
- a protective cover used for a welding gun that is connected to an arm holder that is movable along a guide groove and that opens and closes the movable gun arm via the arm holder by the driving device, the movable gun arm or the fixed gun arm is inserted.
- Protecting means of flame retardant material that can follow shape change with a cylindrical shape with at least open ends covering the gun body, and maintaining the state where one end opening of the protecting means is narrowed by projecting the movable gun arm Movable gun arm stopping means that can be fixed, and the fixed gun arm is projected, and the other end opening of the protection means is narrowed
- a fixed gun arm stop means can be maintained.
- the gun body is covered with a flexible protective cover. This prevents spatter generated during welding from entering the gun body regardless of the open / closed state of the movable gun arm, and the internal mechanism of the gun body can always be kept clean and operated. Can be improved.
- At least a portion of the protection means positioned between the movable gun arm and the fixed gun arm is different from the other general portions, and expands and contracts corresponding to the opening / closing operation of the movable gun arm.
- a possible special part is preferably provided.
- the protection means includes a first cutout portion surrounding the fixed gun arm, a second cutout portion surrounding a pair of left and right side plates of the gun body, It is preferable to provide.
- the gun body is covered with the protective means without any gaps, and the intrusion of spatter and the like is more reliably prevented.
- the protective cover for welding guns which can prevent reliably that the sputter

- the welding gun 10 includes a gun body 11, a fixed gun arm 12, an arm holder 13, a movable gun arm 14, a motor drive unit (drive device) 15, and a transformer 16.
- inverted J-shaped guide grooves 17 extending in the vertical direction and having an upper end curved backward are formed facing each other.
- the base end of the fixed gun arm 12 is fixed to the lower part of the gun body 11, and extends forward (rightward in FIG. 1) from the gun body 11.
- An electrode tip 18 is attached upward at the tip of the fixed gun arm 12.
- the arm holder 13 is disposed between the side plates 11 a of the gun body 11.
- the arm holder 13 is provided with two upper and lower guide pins 19 and 20 penetrating substantially horizontally.
- Roller followers (not shown) that engage with the guide grooves 17 are attached around the pins at both ends of the guide pins 19 and 20. Therefore, the roller followers of the upper and lower guide pins 19 and 20 move along the guide groove 17, so that the arm holder 13 moves along the guide groove 17.
- the movable gun arm 14 has a proximal end fixed to the arm holder 13 and extends forward (rightward in FIG. 1) from the arm holder 13.
- An electrode tip 23 is attached downward to the tip of the movable gun arm 14. As the arm holder 13 moves along the guide groove 17, the movable gun arm 14 moves along the guide groove 17 together with the arm holder 13.

- the unit housing 24 is integrally fixed to the lower ends of the side plates 11a of the gun body 11.
- the servo motor and the pressure rod are coupled so that the rotational movement of the servo motor is converted into an advance / retreat movement (vertical movement) in the axial direction of the pressure rod via the feed screw mechanism.
- the tip of the pressure rod is attached to the lower guide pin 20 of the arm holder 13 through a knuckle (not shown).
- the encoder 27 accurately determines the timing of whether the current flows between the electrode tips 23 and 18 when the electrode tip 23 of the movable gun arm 14 moves relative to the electrode tip 18 of the fixed gun arm 12. In order to control the operation of the movable gun arm 14, the rotation angle of the servo motor is detected.
- the transformer 16 is attached to the outside of the motor drive unit 15.
- the transformer 16 causes a welding current to flow between the electrode tips 23 and 18 when a workpiece (plate material) is sandwiched between the electrode tip 23 of the movable gun arm 14 and the electrode tip 18 of the fixed gun arm 12.
- the movable gun arm 14 opens and closes.
- spot welding is performed with a work (plate material) sandwiched between the electrode tip 23 and the electrode tip 18 of the fixed gun arm 12.
- the gun body 11 of the welding gun 10 is completely covered with the protective cover 30.
- the protective cover 30 includes a cover main body (protecting means) 31, first strings (movable gun arm stopping means) 36a and 36b, and second strings 33 (fixed gun arm stopping means). And comprising.
