Definitions
- the present invention relates to an optical material and its use. More specifically, the present invention relates to an optical product using a composition for optical material and a molded body obtained by molding the composition as an optical material.
- the light from streetlights and vehicle headlights is dazzling and the visibility of the object is reduced. Furthermore, since the light is irregularly reflected by a wet road surface or raindrops during rain, the visibility of the object further decreases. This is thought to be because light centered at a wavelength of 482 nm acts on a photoreceptor in the eye, promotes pupil light reflection, contracts the pupil, and suppresses light from entering the eye.
- Patent Document 1 describes a clear vision device using a combination of a polarizing filter and a colored sheet. This document describes that night visibility during rain can be improved.
- Patent Document 2 describes a spectacle frame with illumination in which illumination is attached to the spectacle frame.
- the document describes that the visibility of an object at night or in a dark place can be improved by illuminating the front of the eyes with illumination.
- Patent Document 3 describes an optical filter that selectively absorbs light of a specific wavelength, or light-shielding glasses using the optical filter.
- Patent Document 4 describes a display filter containing a specific porphyrin compound.
- Patent Document 5 describes a spectacle lens including a specific porphyrin compound.

This is an unavoidable problem in terms of the mechanism of action even when a yellow pigment is used.
- the spectacle frame described in Patent Document 2 has a lighting device including a battery and a lamp on the frame. For this reason, the glasses equipped with the spectacle frame become heavy, and there is a problem in feeling of use such as feeling fatigue when used for a long time.
- Patent Document 3 describes an optical filter manufactured using an optical multilayer film, an optical filter manufactured using a volume phase hologram, and an optical filter manufactured using a transparent body mixed with metal fine particles. Yes. However, there are many problems such as using metal fine particles and complicated manufacturing processes. Patent Documents 4 and 5 do not describe the point of improving the visibility of an object in the dark.
- the present inventors selectively absorb light having a wavelength of 471 nm to 490 nm to suppress pupil light reflection, help the light to enter the eye in the dark, and make the dark object more visible I found.

また、有機色素を含むコーティング材料(光学材料用組成物)を用い、プラスチックレンズなどの光学材料上に有機色素含有コーティング層を形成することもできる。
