例えば、特許文献1の補正方法においては、負荷ドラムの径外側に、負荷ドラムの外周面の変位(タイヤの半径方向に沿った変位、あるいはタイヤの横方向に沿った変位)を検出可能な検出器(センサ)が設けられている。そして、この検出器で検出される負荷ドラムの変位が、回転振れとして計測される。そして、計測された負荷ドラムの回転振れにタイヤのバネ定数を乗じたものが、回転振れにより負荷ドラムに作用する力変動の波形として算出される。このようにして算出された力変動の波形を、回転振れに起因する誤差を補正するための補正波形として、実際に計測したユニフォミティ波形から差し引けば、ユニフォミティ波形を補正することができる。
例えば、実際のタイヤユニフォミティマシンでは、タイヤを負荷ドラムに押し付ける位置が、標準的な種類やサイズのタイヤにあわせて設定されることが多い。ところが、タイヤユニフォミティマシンで計測されるタイヤには、標準的なタイヤよりも幅が広いタイヤや狭いタイヤがある。このようなタイヤを試験する場合には、外周面の変位を検出する検出器の高さが最適な位置からずれたものとなってしまう。つまり、特許文献1の補正方法では、タイヤユニフォミティを計測するタイヤの種別によって検出器の設置位置が最適な位置からずれ、検出器の設置位置のずれによって算出される補正波形が適正なものからずれる。そのため、精度の良い補正波形を求めることが困難となってしまう可能性がある。
本発明は、上述の問題を鑑みてなされたものであり、負荷ドラムの回転振れによる影響を、計測されたユニフォミティ波形から取り除き、タイヤユニフォミティの測定精度を向上させることができるタイヤのユニフォミティ波形の補正方法を提供することを目的とする。
すなわち、本発明は、負荷ドラムをこの負荷ドラムとは径が異なるタイヤに押付けた上で、タイヤを回転させつつタイヤのユニフォミティを測定する際の、タイヤのユニフォミティ波形の補正方法であって、前記負荷ドラムに設けられたロードセル及び回転位相計を用いて、前記タイヤのユニフォミティ波形を計測すると共に、前記負荷ドラムの回転位相を計測するステップと、計測されたユニフォミティ波形を、周波数変換することで、周波数領域の波形に変換するステップと、変換された周波数領域の波形において、前記負荷ドラムの回転数の整数倍数成分での振幅及び位相を求めるステップと、求められた前記負荷ドラムの回転数の整数倍数成分での振幅及び位相を、補正パラメータとして記憶するステップと、前記タイヤのユニフォミティ波形を計測すると共に、記憶された補正パラメータを基にしてタイヤ計測時の負荷ドラムの回転位相範囲における補正波形を計算するステップと、前記計算された補正波形を、計測されたユニフォミティ波形から差し引くことで、補正されたタイヤのユニフォミティ波形を算出するステップと、を有することを特徴とするものである。
本発明に係るタイヤTのユニフォミティ波形の補正方法が行われるタイヤユニフォミティマシン1を、まず図面に基づいて説明する。
図1に示されるように、タイヤユニフォミティマシン1(タイヤユニフォミティ試験装置)は、完成したタイヤTについてタイヤユニフォミティなどの特性を評価して製品検査を行う。タイヤユニフォミティマシン1は、タイヤTを回転させた際に発生するタイヤ半径方向の力の変動(Radial Force Variation:RFV)やタイヤ横方向の力の変動(Lateral Force Variation:LFV)を製品検査として評価する構成とされている。
次に、タイヤユニフォミティマシン1を構成するスピンドル軸2および負荷ドラム4について、詳しく説明する。
このようにしてロードセル10で計測された荷重は演算部11に送られる。
以降では、演算部11において行われる信号処理の手順、言い換えれば本発明のユニフォミティ波形の補正方法を説明する。
本発明のユニフォミティ波形の補正方法においては、ロードセル10及び回転位相計12を用いて、タイヤTのユニフォミティ波形が計測されると共に、負荷ドラム4の回転位相が計測される。計測されたユニフォミティ波形は、周波数変換することで、周波数領域の波形に変換される。変換された周波数領域の波形において、負荷ドラム4の回転数の整数倍数成分での振幅及び位相が求められる。求められた負荷ドラム4の回転数の整数倍数成分での振幅及び位相が、補正パラメータとして記憶される。そして、タイヤTのユニフォミティ波形を計測すると共に、記憶された補正パラメータを基にしてタイヤユニフォミティ計測時の負荷ドラム4の回転位相範囲における補正波形を計算し、計算された補正波形を、計測されたユニフォミティ波形から差し引くことで、補正されたタイヤTのユニフォミティ波形が算出される。
上下のリム3の間にタイヤTを挟み込みこむことによって、スピンドル軸2の上部にタイヤTが取り付けられる。そして、負荷ドラム4がスピンドル軸2側に水平移動され、負荷ドラム4(ドラム部7)の外周面が所定の押付荷重でタイヤTに押し付けられる。
なお、このロードセル10で荷重を計測するときは、一般にタイヤTと負荷ドラム4とが異なる径に形成されているため、タイヤTの回転数とは異なる回転数で負荷ドラム4が回転する。それゆえ、負荷ドラム4の回転軸8に取り付けられたロードセル10では、タイヤTの回転位相に応じて変化する成分と、回転振れを有する負荷ドラム4の回転位相に応じて変化する成分とが重ね合わされたユニフォミティ波形が計測される。
図2(a)は、ロードセル10で計測された荷重のうち、RFVについてのユニフォミティ波形を示したものである。また、図2(b)は、図2(a)に示されるユニフォミティ波形の中で、0秒~2秒の部分を拡大して示したものである。例えば、タイヤTの回転数が60rpmの場合であれば、図2(b)に拡大して示されるように、RFVのユニフォミティ波形は、1秒間のデータ周期で同じ波形が連続して繰り返されるような波形として計測される。
この負荷ドラム4の回転位相に応じて変化する成分は、ピークの高さがタイヤTの回転位相に応じて変化する成分ほど高くない。したがって、図3(b)に示すように縦軸のスケールを拡大して示すと、ピークが発生する周波数をより正確に判断することが可能となる。つまり、負荷ドラム4の回転位相に応じて変化する成分のピークは、1Hzとは異なる0.7Hzの倍数となる周波数毎に観測されており、周波数空間においてはタイヤTの回転位相に応じて変化する成分のピークと負荷ドラム4の回転位相に応じて変化する成分のピークとが明確に分離できることが分かる。
具体的には、本発明の補正方法では、負荷ドラム4の回転位相に応じて変化する成分のピークの振幅Aiのみが、補正パラメータとしてまず算出される。また、上述した回転位相計12を用いて、負荷ドラム4の回転位相に応じて変化する各ピークが観測される回転位相φiが計測される。このようにして算出された振幅Aiと回転位相φiは、補正パラメータとして、演算部11に予め記憶される。以上が、補正パラメータの算出手順である。
まず、上述した手順で、ユニフォミティを計測しようとするタイヤTについて、補正パラメータが予め求められているとする。このような状況における、タイヤTのユニフォミティの計測は、最初に補正パラメータを算出する際と同じ手順で行なわれる。すなわち、スピンドル軸2にタイヤTを取り付け、負荷ドラム4の外周面を所定の押付荷重でタイヤTに押し付けた上で、モータ5を用いてスピンドル軸2が回転される。そして、負荷ドラム4の回転軸8に取り付けられたロードセル10により、ユニフォミティ波形が計測される。なお、このとき計測されるタイヤTのユニフォミティ波形は通常のユニフォミティ計測条件に従ったものであり、補正パラメータを求める時より短い1秒程度の計測時間に亘って計測が行なわれている。
そして、演算部11に記憶された振幅Ai及び回転位相φiを式(1)に代入し、次の式(1)を利用して逆フーリエ変換を行うことにより、上述した回転位相θs~θeの位相範囲内で計測されたユニフォミティ波形に対する補正波形を算出することができる。
また、式(1)のθは、次の式(2)に従って算出された位相の刻みで、回転位相θs~θeの範囲でユニフォミティ波形のサンプリングに対応して計算される位相角である。
このようにして算出された補正波形は、周波数空間で分離された負荷ドラム4の回転位相に応じて変化する成分だけで構成されており、負荷ドラム4の回転に由来してユニフォミティ波形に加わる誤差、言い換えれば負荷ドラム4の回転振れによる影響を示したものとなっている。
例えば、図4(a)は、60rpmの回転数で回転するタイヤTに対してユニフォミティ波形を求めた結果を示したものである。図4(a)のグラフを見ると、図中において丸で囲まれた(A)~(C)の部分に観察されるピークが、他のピークよりもピーク高さが低く、負荷ドラム4の回転位相に応じて変化する成分が誤差として作用していることが分かる。
次に、図4(a)に示されるユニフォミティ波形から、図4(b)に示される補正波形を差し引くと、図4(c)に示されるような補正ユニフォミティ波形が得られる。この図4(c)に示される補正ユニフォミティ波形では、図4(a)における(A)~(C)の部分に相当する12秒を超えた付近、15秒を超えた付近、18秒を超えた付近に確認されるピークの高さが、他の部分に確認されるピークとほぼ同じ高さとなっている。
上述したように、計測されたユニフォミティ波形を周波数領域の波形に変換し、周波数空間において負荷ドラム4の回転に由来するピークだけをタイヤTの回転に由来するピークから分離すれば、外乱の影響を排除して負荷ドラム4の回転に由来するピークだけを精度良く抽出することが可能となる。

Claims (2)
- 負荷ドラムをこの負荷ドラムとは径が異なるタイヤに押付けた上で、タイヤを回転させつつタイヤのユニフォミティを測定する際の、タイヤのユニフォミティ波形の補正方法であって、
前記負荷ドラムに設けられたロードセル及び回転位相計を用いて、前記タイヤのユニフォミティ波形を計測すると共に、前記負荷ドラムの回転位相を計測するステップと、
計測されたユニフォミティ波形を、周波数変換することで、周波数領域の波形に変換するステップと、
変換された周波数領域の波形において、前記負荷ドラムの回転数の整数倍数成分での振幅及び位相を求めるステップと、
求められた前記負荷ドラムの回転数の整数倍数成分での振幅及び位相を、補正パラメータとして記憶するステップと、
前記タイヤのユニフォミティ波形を計測すると共に、記憶された補正パラメータを基にしてタイヤ計測時の負荷ドラムの回転位相範囲における補正波形を計算するステップと、
前記計算された補正波形を、計測されたユニフォミティ波形から差し引くことで、補正されたタイヤのユニフォミティ波形を算出するステップと、を有することを特徴とするタイヤのユニフォミティ波形の補正方法。 - 前記タイヤの種別毎に補正パラメータを予め求めるステップと、
予め求められた前記補正パラメータに基づいて、前記タイヤの種別毎に前記補正波形を計算するステップと、
計算された前記補正波形を、計測されたユニフォミティ波形から差し引くことで、補正されたタイヤのユニフォミティ波形を算出するステップと、を有することを特徴とする請求項1に記載のタイヤのユニフォミティ波形の補正方法。
