Abstract
Description
上記構造を有する表示装置の透明保護板には、表示画像のコントラストを向上させるために最外の縁に帯状の遮光部が形成されている。該透明保護板、または、該透明保護板を備えたタッチセンサーユニットを、他の光学部材、例えば、透明電極が形成されたガラス板、または表示ユニットに、紫外線硬化型樹脂組成物で貼り合わせた場合には、該遮光部によって紫外線硬化型樹脂のうち該遮光部の陰になる遮光領域に充分な紫外線が到達せず、該遮光領域の樹脂の硬化が不十分になる。樹脂の硬化が不十分であると、その遮光部付近の表示画像において表示ムラ等の問題が発生する。
そこで、遮光部を有する光学基材の貼り合わせに使用する紫外線硬化型樹脂において、遮光部によって紫外線が遮光される遮光領域においても、一方向からの紫外線で十分な硬化を達成することができる紫外線硬化型樹脂の開発が望まれていた。

t1及びt2については、t1とt2の合計としては1又は2の整数が好ましく、2がより好ましい。
Xが直接結合の場合には、t1及びt2が共に1である化合物が好ましい。また、Xの一方が直接結合であって、他方が上記式(2)で表される連結基である場合には、t1が2で、t2が0であるか、または、t1が0で、t2が2である化合物が好ましい。
上記式(1)におけるYは、窒素原子又はCHを表し、CHが好ましい。
R1の具体例としては、メチル基、エチル基、プロピル基、イソプロピル基、t-ブチル基等が挙げられる。R1としては分岐鎖を有するアルキル基が好ましく、t-ブチル基が特に好ましい。
上記式(1)におけるXの個数は、t1及びt2の合計の数に一致し、1又は2である。t1及びt2の合計が2であるとき、Xの一方が直接結合であることが好ましい。t1またはt2が2であるとき、Xの一方が直接結合であり、他方が上記式(2)で表される連結基であることが好ましく、他方がZがフェニレン基又はビピリジン残基である上記式(2)で表される連結基であるとき、より好ましい。
(i)Xが直接結合で、t1及びt2が共に1であるか、又は、Xの一方が直接結合であって、他方が上記式(2)で表される連結基であり、且つt1が2で、t2が0であるか、またはt1が0で、t2が2である化合物。
(ii)t1及びt2が共に1であり、Xがいずれも直接結合である上記(i)に記載の化合物。
(iii)t1及びt2のいずれか一方が2であって他方が0であり、Xの一方が直接結合であり、他方が上記式(2)で表される連結基であり、Zがフェニレン基又はビピリジン残基である化合物。
(iv)全てのYがCHである上記(i)~(iii)の何れか一項に記載の化合物。
上記範囲内であれば、硬化物中に含まれる化合物(A)が外光を吸収して着色することにより該化合物(A)を視認される恐れが少なく、また、遮光領域における該接着物の硬化特性が極めて優れるためである。そして、発光スペクトルの極大波長が上記範囲内にあることで、化合物(A)の発光を視認することが困難となり、更に、硬化作用に優れ、吸収波長が350nm~400nmにある光重合開始剤に効率よく作用することができるため、好適となる。
上記吸光スペクトル及び発光スペクトルについては、例えば、上記式(1)で表される化合物(A)のテトラヒドロフラン溶液(濃度0.002wt%)を調製し、得られた溶液の吸光スペクトル及び発光スペクトルを測定すればよい。吸収スペクトルは分光光度計(例えば、株式会社島津製作所製「UV-3150」など)を用いて測定することができ、発光スペクトルは蛍光光度計(例えば、株式会社日立ハイテクノロジーズ社製「F-7000」など)を用いて測定することができる。
上記式(1)で表される化合物(A)としては、下記式(3)で表される2-(4-ビフェニル)-5-(4-tert-ブチルフェニル)-1,3,4-オキサジアゾールを特に好適に使用することができる。
さらに、本願発明においては、上記式(1)で表される化合物(A)は光硬化型接着剤組成物中において相溶して存在することが好ましい。相溶して存在することで、組成物における化合物(A)の分布が均一となることから、該接着剤をムラなく硬化させることが可能となり、遮光領域の硬化もより促進されるためである。
化合物(A)を接着剤組成物中に均一に混合することが容易になるため、上記式(1)で表される化合物(A)としては、融点が0℃~500℃であることが好ましく、25℃~400℃であることがより好ましく、25℃~300℃であることが特に好ましい。
本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤において常温(25℃)~80℃で相溶状態となる化合物(A)としては、上記式(1)におけるXが直接結合またはZがフェニレン基である前記式(2)の連結基である化合物が挙げられる。
これら上記式(1)で表される化合物(A)を含有し、好ましくは相溶してなる本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤は、視認性向上の観点から硬化物(用途により変化するが、例えば、膜厚200μmの硬化物)とした際の400nmの光の透過率が80%以上であることが好ましく、90%以上であることが特に好ましい。
これら上記式(1)で表される化合物(A)は、1種単独でまたは2種以上を任意の割合で混合して使用することができる。上記式(1)で表される化合物(A)の本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤における含有割合は、化合物(A)の総量で、通常0.001~5重量%、好ましくは0.001~1重量%である。
光重合性化合物(B)としては、紫外線で重合する化合物であれば特に限定することなく使用することができるが、例えば、(メタ)アクリレート化合物(B-1)、エポキシ化合物(B-2)及びオキセタン化合物(B-3)等が挙げられる。
本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤として使用可能な(メタ)アクリレート化合物(B-1)としては、例えば、ウレタン(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー、又は、ポリイソプレン骨格又はポリブタジエン骨格の少なくとも何れか一つの骨格を有する(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマーの少なくとも何れか一つの(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1)が挙げられる。本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤には、これら(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1)を1種類又は2種類以上使用することができる。
光重合性化合物(B)として、これらの(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1)を使用することにより、硬化物の柔軟性に優れ、硬化収縮率が低い紫外線硬化型接着剤を得ることができるため、本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤は(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1)を含有することが好ましい。
中でも、ウレタン(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1a)は、硬化物の柔軟性を確保しつつ、遮光領域の硬化性能を高めることができることから、光重合性化合物(B)として好適に使用できる。
本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤に使用可能なウレタン(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1a)としては、特に限定はされないが、多価アルコール、ポリイソシアネート及びヒドロキシ基含有(メタ)アクリレートの3者を反応させることによって得られるウレタン(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー等を例示することができる。
基材への密着性の観点から分子量が1000以上、好ましくは1000~5000のC2-C4アルキレングリコールが好ましく、中でも、分子量2000以上、例えば2000~5000程度、のポリプロピレングリコールが特に好ましい。
本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤に使用可能なポリイソプレン骨格又はポリブタジエン骨格の少なくとも何れか一つの骨格を有する(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1b)(以下、「前記オリゴマー(B-1-1b)」とも言う。)としては、ポリイソプレン骨格を有するオリゴマーであって、末端等に(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する公知のオリゴマー、ポリブタジエン骨格を有するオリゴマーであって、末端等に(メタ)アクリロイル基を有する公知のオリゴマー及び、ポリイソプレン骨格とポリブタジエン骨格の両者を有し、末端等に(メタ)アクロイル基を有する公知のオリゴマー等であれば特に限定することなく使用することができる。
上記ポリイソプレン骨格又はポリブタジエン骨格の少なくとも何れか一つの骨格を有する(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1b)として、好適には下記製法(a)又は製法(b)等により得られるオリゴマーを使用することができる。
製法(a):イソプレン重合体、ブタジエン重合体またはこれらの共重合体をまず合成し、次に得られた重合体に不飽和酸無水物を反応させ、その後、得られたポリマー中の一部または全部に、ヒドロキシ(メタ)アクリレート化合物を反応させる方法。
製法(b):水酸基末端イソプレン重合体、水酸基末端ブタジエン重合体または末端に水酸基を有するイソプレン-ブタジエン共重合体に不飽和カルボン酸またはその誘導体を反応させる方法。
なお、これらの重合反応は、ヘキサン、ヘプタン、トルエン及びキシレン等の溶媒の存在下に-100℃~200℃で0.5~100時間反応させることにより、行うことができる。
上記不飽和酸無水物の使用量は、通常、前記重合体100重量部に対して0.1~200重量部の範囲にあることが好ましく、0.1~100重量部の範囲内であることがより好ましい。
上記の条件で反応させたときの前記重合体に対する酸無水物基の付加数は、通常、1分子あたり1~30個の範囲にあり、2~20個の範囲にあることが好ましい。
上記反応は、ヘキサン及びヘプタン等の溶媒の存在下または無溶媒条件下で、通常、ヒドロキシ(メタ)アクリレート化合物の水酸基が上記重合体における酸無水物基1当量に対して好ましくは1~1.5当量となるようにヒドロキシ(メタ)アクリレート化合物を混合し、20~200℃の反応温度で0.1~100時間反応させることにより、行うことができる。
上記反応は、通常、ヘキサン又はヘプタン等の溶媒の存在下または無溶媒条件下で、上記重合体と不飽和カルボン酸またはその誘導体を、反応温度20~200℃で0.1~100時間反応させることにより、行うことができる。
このときの(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1)の本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤における含有割合は、通常5~90重量%、好ましくは20~50重量%である。
一方、ガラスへの密着性を向上させる観点からは、水酸基を有する炭素数1~5のアルキル(メタ)アクリレート、アクリロイルモルホリン又はジシクロペンタニル(メタ)アクリレートを単官能(メタ)アクリレートモノマー(B-1-2)として使用することが好ましい。
本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤に含有される単官能(メタ)アクリレートモノマー(B-1-2)としては、ジシクロペンテニルオキシエチル(メタ)アクリレート又はジシクロペンタニル(メタ)アクリレートを使用することが最も好ましい。
本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤は、光重合性化合物(B)として上記単官能(メタ)アクリレートモノマー(B-1-2)を含有することが好ましい。上記単官能(メタ)アクリレートモノマー(B-1-2)の本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤中における含有割合は、通常5~70重量%、好ましくは5~50重量%である。
2官能の(メタ)アクリレートモノマー(B-1-3)としては、例えば、トリシクロデカンジメチロールジ(メタ)アクリレート、ジオキサングリコールジ(メタ)アクリレート、ポリプロピレングリコールジ(メタ)アクリレート、ポリテトラメチレングリコールジ(メタ)アクリレート、アルキレンオキサイド変性ビスフェノールA型ジ(メタ)アクリレート、カプロラクトン変性ヒドロキシピバリン酸ネオペンチルグリコールジ(メタ)アクリレート及びエチレンオキサイド変性リン酸ジ(メタ)アクリレート等が挙げられる。
本発明において(メタ)アクリレートモノマー(B-1-3)を併用する場合は、紫外線硬化型接着剤の硬化時の硬化収縮を抑える観点から、2官能の(メタ)アクリレートを使用することが好ましい。
本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤に使用可能なエポキシ(メタ)アクリレート(B-1-4)としては、グリシジルエーテル型エポキシ化合物と(メタ)アクリル酸を反応させることにより得られる化合物であればいずれも使用できる。好ましいエポキシ(メタ)アクリレートを得るためのグリシジルエーテル型エポキシ化合物としては、ビスフェノールA或いはそのアルキレンオキサイド付加体のジグリシジルエーテル、ビスフェノールF或いはそのアルキレンオキサイド付加体のジグリシジルエーテル、水素添加ビスフェノールA或いはそのアルキレンオキサイド付加体のジグリシジルエーテル、水素添加ビスフェノールF或いはそのアルキレンオキサイド付加体のジグリシジルエーテル、エチレングリコールジグリシジルエーテル、プロピレングリコールジグリシジルエーテル、ネオペンチルグリコールジグリシジルエーテル、ブタンジオールジグリシジルエーテル、へキサンジオールジグリシジルエーテル、シクロヘキサンジメタノールジグリシジルエーテル及びポリプロピレングリコールジグリシジルエーテル等を挙げることができる。
本発明において使用可能なエポキシ(メタ)アクリレート(B-1-4)の重量平均分子量としては、500~10000が好ましい。
また、柔軟性を付与する観点からは、本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤におけるエポキシ(メタ)アクリレート(B-1-4)の含有割合は20重量%以下であることが好ましく、10重量%以下であることが特に好ましい。
このときの(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1)としては、多価アルコール、ポリイソシアネート及びヒドロキシ基含有(メタ)アクリレートの3者の反応により得られるウレタン(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー、又は、イソプレン重合体、ブタジエン重合体またはこれらの共重合体の不飽和酸無水物付加物の一部または全部に、ヒドロキシ(メタ)アクリレート化合物を反応させて得られるポリイソプレン骨格又はポリブタジエン骨格の少なくとも一つの骨格を有する(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマーが好ましい。
(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1)として、ポリプロピレングリコール、イソホロンジイソシアネート及び2-ヒドロキシエチル(メタ)アクリレートの3者の反応により得られるウレタン(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー、又は、イソプレン重合物の無水マレイン酸付加物と2-ヒドロキシエチルメタクリレートのエステル化物オリゴマーを含有し、且つ、単官能(メタ)アクリレートモノマー(B-1-2)として、ジシクロペンテニルオキシエチル(メタ)アクリレート又はジシクロペンタニル(メタ)アクリレートを含有する本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤は、特に好ましい。
ラジカル重合開始剤の具体例及びその製品名としては、例えば、1-ヒドロキシシクロヘキシルフェニルケトン(イルガキュア(登録商標、以下同じ)184;BASF社製)、2-ヒドロキシ-2-メチル-[4-(1-メチルビニル)フェニル]プロパノールオリゴマー(エサキュアONE;ランバルティ社製)、1-[4-(2-ヒドロキシエトキシ)-フェニル]-2-ヒドロキシ-2-メチル-1-プロパン-1-オン(イルガキュア2959;BASF社製)、2-ヒドロキシ-1-{4-[4-(2-ヒドロキシ-2-メチルプロピオニル)ベンジル]フェニル}-2-メチルプロパン-1-オン(イルガキュア127;BASF社製)、2,2-ジメトキシ-2-フェニルアセトフェノン(イルガキュア651;BASF社製)、2-ヒドロキシ-2-メチル-1-フェニルプロパン-1-オン(ダロキュア(登録商標)1173;BASF社製)、2-メチル-1-[4-(メチルチオ)フェニル]-2-モルホリノプロパン-1-オン(イルガキュア907;BASF社製)、オキシフェニルアセチックアシッド2-[2-オキソ-2-フェニルアセトキシエトキシ]エチルエステルとオキシフェニルアセチックアシッド2-[2-ヒドロキシエトキシ]エチルエステルの混合物(イルガキュア754;BASF社製)、ビス(η5-2,4-シクロペンタジエン-1-イル)-ビス(2,6-ジフルオロ-3-(1H-ピロール-1-イル)-フェニル)チタニウム(イルガキュア784;BASF社製)、2-ベンジル-2-ジメチルアミノ-1-(4-モルホリノフェニル)ブタン-1-オン、2-クロロチオキサントン、2,4-ジメチルチオキサントン、2,4-ジイソプロピルチオキサントン、イソプロピルチオキサントン、2,4,6-トリメチルベンゾイルジフェニルフォスフィンオキサイド、ビス(2,4,6-トリメチルベンゾイル)フェニルフォスフィンオキサイド、及び、ビス(2,6-ジメトキシベンゾイル)-2,4,4-トリメチルペンチルフォスフィンオキサイド等を挙げることができる。
透明性及び硬化性の観点からは、1-ヒドロキシシクロヘキシルフェニルケトン(イルガキュア184;BASF社製)及び2-ヒドロキシ-2-メチル-[4-(1-メチルビニル)フェニル]プロパノールオリゴマー(エサキュアKIP-150;ランバルティ社製)が好ましい光重合開始剤(C)として挙げられる。接着剤内部の硬化性を良好にする観点からは、2,4,6-トリメチルベンゾイルジフェニルフォスフィンオキサイド(スピードキュアTPO;LAMBSON社製)及びビス(2,4,6-トリメチルベンゾイル)フェニルフォスフィンオキサイド(イルガキュア819;BASF社製)が好ましい光重合開始剤(C)として挙げられる。接着剤の変色を抑える観点からは、2,4,6-トリメチルベンゾイルジフェニルフォスフィンオキサイド(スピードキュアTPO;LAMBSON社製)が好ましい光重合開始剤(C)として挙げられる。
さらに、イエローランプ等特定の環境下での取り扱いが不要であり、内部硬化性が優れることから、2,4,6-トリメチルベンゾイルジフェニルフォスフィンオキサイド(スピードキュアTPO)が特に好ましい光重合開始剤(C)として挙げられる。
また、これらの光重合開始剤(C)は1種類を単独で、又は2種類以上を任意の割合で使用できる。
また、光重合開始剤(C)のうち、アセトニトリル中で測定した405nmでの単位重量あたりの吸光係数が5~3000ml/(g・cm)であるものが好ましく、100~3000ml/(g・cm)であるものがより好ましく、200~3000ml/(g・cm)であるものが特に好ましい。
本発明の光重合開始剤(C)としては、当該吸光係数の条件の両方を満たす光重合開始剤が極めて好ましい。
また、アセトニトリル中で測定した400nmにおけるモル吸光係数が200M-1・cm-1~10万M-1・cm-1である光重合開始剤も好ましい。
そのため、上記範囲の吸光係数を有することにより長波長の紫外線を吸収でき、且つ、前記式(1)で表される化合物(A)が発する光の波長に吸収がある光重合開始剤(C)は、遮光領域に存在したとしても、前記式(1)で表される化合物(A)が発する光を吸収するとともに、光源から照射されて回折した長波長の光を吸収することができる。これらの相乗効果により、光重合開始剤(C)の分解反応が促進されるため、遮光領域が広範囲に渡る場合であっても、遮光領域に存在する紫外線硬化型接着剤を十分に硬化させることが可能となる。
365nmでの単位重量あたりの吸光係数が特に好ましい400~10000ml/(g・cm)の範囲にある光重合開始剤としては、ビス(2,4,6-トリメチルベンゾイル)フェニルフォスフィンオキサイド(BASF社製:イルガキュア819)、2,4,6-トリメチルベンゾイルジフェニルフォスフィンオキサイド(LAMBSON社製:スピードキュアTPO)、及びビス(η5-2,4-シクロペンタジエン-1-イル)-ビス(2,6-ジフルオロ-3-(1H-ピロール-1-イル)-フェニル)チタニウム(BASF社製:イルガキュア784)等が挙げられる。
本発明の光重合開始剤(C)としては、2,4,6-トリメチルベンゾイルジフェニルフォスフィンオキサイド(スピードキュアTPO)が特に好ましい。
本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤においては、上記その他の成分の一つとして、光重合開始助剤となりうるアミン類等を上記の光重合開始剤(C)と併用することもできる。使用しうるアミン類等としては、安息香酸2-ジメチルアミノエチルエステル、ジメチルアミノアセトフェノン、p-ジメチルアミノ安息香酸エチルエステルまたはp-ジメチルアミノ安息香酸イソアミルエステル等が挙げられる。該アミン類等の光重合開始助剤を使用する場合、本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤中の含有量は通常0.005~5重量%、好ましくは0.01~3重量%である。
柔軟化成分(D)の具体例としては、前記(B)成分に含まれないポリマー及びオリゴマー、及び、可塑剤などとして使用される化合物として、フタル酸エステル類、リン酸エステル類、グリコールエステル類、グリコールエーテル類、脂肪族二塩基酸エステル類、脂肪酸エステル類、クエン酸エステル類、エポキシ系可塑剤、ヒマシ油類、テルペン系水素添加樹脂等が挙げられる。
即ち、末端等に水酸基含有してもよい、ポリイソプレン骨格又は/及びポリブタジエン骨格含有オリゴマー及びポリマー、又はキシレン骨格含有のオリゴマー及びポリマー、及びポリエーテル化合物等を挙げることが出来る。
これらの中で末端等に水酸基を含有する、ポリイソプレン骨格又は/及びポリブタジエン骨格含有ポリマー及びポリエーテル化合物を好ましいものとして例示することができる。
ポリエーテル化合物の具体例としては、ポリプロピレングリコールジアリルエーテル、ポリプロピレングリコールジメチルエーテル、ポリプロピレングリコールジブチルエーテル、ポリプロピレングリコールアリルブチルエーテル、ポリエチレングリコール-ポリプロピレングリコールジアリルエーテル、ポリエチレングリコール-ポリプロピレングリコールジブチルエーテル及びポリエチレングリコール-ポリプロピレングリコールアリルブチルエーテル等のポリエーテル化合物のポリC2-C4アルキレングリコールのジ(アリル又は/及びC1-C4アルキル)エーテルを挙げることが出来る。
これらのポリマーの重量平均分子量は500~30000程度が好ましく、より好ましくは500~25000程度、更に好ましくは500~20000程度である。特に好ましくは500~15000程度である。
かかる柔軟化成分(D)を使用する場合の本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤中における含有割合は、通常10~80重量%、好ましくは10~70重量%である。
特に好ましい製造方法としては、高温で連続的にラジカル重合を行って製造する方法が挙げられる。具体的には、以下のプロセスによって製造するものである。まず、アクリル系又はメタクリル系モノマーに対して微量の重合開始剤と微量の溶剤を混合させる。そして、150℃以上の温度において、10分以上、高圧下で反応させる。その後、分離機で、未反応成分と反応で得られた(メタ)アクリルポリマーとを分離することにより、(メタ)アクリルポリマーを得ることができる。
ここで、得られる(メタ)アクリルポリマーに重合開始剤が混入していると、保存安定性に劣る恐れがある。そのため、溶剤を留去しながら上記反応を行うか、(メタ)アクリルポリマーを分離した後に溶剤を留去することが好ましい。
このときの本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤中におけるポリエーテル化合物及び水酸基含有ポリイソプレン系のオリゴマー又はポリマーの少なくとも一種、より好ましくはポリエチレングリコール-ポリプロピレングリコールアリルブチルエーテル又は水酸基含有ポリイソプレンの含有割合は、通常10~80重量%、好ましくは10~70重量%、より好ましくは30~70重量%である。
ジルコニウム系又はアルミニウム系カップリング剤の具体例としては、Zr-アセチルアセトネート、Zr-メタクリレート、Zr-プロピオネート、ネオアルコキシジルコネート、ネオアルコキシトリスネオデカノイルジルコネート、ネオアルコキシトリス(ドデカノイル)ベンゼンスルフォニルジルコネート、ネオアルコキシトリス(エチレンジアミノエチル)ジルコネート、ネオアルコキシトリス(m-アミノフェニル)ジルコネート、アンモニウムジルコニウムカーボネート、Al-アセチルアセトネート、Al-メタクリレート、及び、Al-プロピオネート等が挙げられる。
化合物(A):0.001~5重量%、好ましくは0.001~1重量%、更に好ましくは、0.001~0.1、
光重合性化合物(B):5~99.8重量%、好ましくは10~95重量%、より好ましくは20~90重量%、最も好ましくは30~80重量%、
光重合開始剤(C):0.01~5重量%、好ましくは0.2~3重量%、
を含む紫外線硬化型接着剤。
上記の場合、(A)成分及び(C)成分の合計は少なくとも0.2重量%であるとき好ましく、0.2~5重量%がより好ましい。
(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1):通常5~90重量%、好ましくは20~80重量%、より好ましくは25~50重量%、
単官能(メタ)アクリレートモノマー(B-1-2):通常5~70重量%、好ましくは5~50重量%、
であり、両者の合計は上記(B)含量の範囲内である。
上記の場合、好ましい同士の組合せ等で、合計が100重量%を下回る時は、残部として、上記以外のその他の成分(例えば前記(D)成分又は前記各種添加剤)を含む場合である。
上記組成を有し、更に柔軟化成分(D)を10~80重量%、好ましくは10~70重量%の含有割合で含有する本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤は、より好ましい。
(I)
前記式(1)で表される化合物(A)の含量が0.001~5重量%であり、光重合開始剤(C)の含量が0.01~5重量%であり、残部が光重合性化合物(B)及びその他の成分である紫外線硬化型接着剤。
(II)
光重合性化合物(B)の含量が5~99.8重量%である上記(I)に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤。
(III)
前記式(1)で表される化合物(A)において、t1とt2の合計が2である、前記課題を解決するための手段の項に記載の(13)~(28)、上記(I)及び(II)のいずれか一項に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤。
化合物(A)が、前記化合物(A)の好ましい化合物として挙げた(i)~(iv)に記載の化合物である上記(I)~(III)のいずれか一項に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤。

(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1)として、ポリプロピレングリコール、イソホロンジイソシアネート及び2-ヒドロキシエチル(メタ)アクリレートの3者の反応により得られるウレタン(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー、又は、イソプレン重合物の無水マレイン酸付加物と2-ヒドロキシエチルメタクリレートのエステル化物オリゴマーを含有し、
単官能(メタ)アクリレートモノマー(B-1-2)として、ジシクロペンテニルオキシエチル(メタ)アクリレート又はジシクロペンタニル(メタ)アクリレートを含有する上記(VI)に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤。
(VIII)
光重合開始剤(C)の、アセトニトリル中で測定した365nmでの単位重量あたりの吸光係数が85~10000ml/(g・cm)であり、且つ、アセトニトリル中で測定した405nmでの単位重量あたりの吸光係数が5~3000ml/(g・cm)である光重合開始剤である上記(I)~(VII)のいずれか一項に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤。
(IX)
光重合開始剤(C)が、2,4,6-トリメチルベンゾイルジフェニルフォスフィンオキサイドである上記(I)~(VIII)のいずれか一項に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤。
更に、柔軟化成分(D)を10~80重量%含む、上記(I)~(IX)のいずれか一項に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤。

柔軟化成分(D)としてポリエチレングリコール-ポリプロピレングリコールアリルブチルエーテル又は水酸基含有ポリイソプレンを含有する上記(X)のいずれか一項に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤。

化合物(A)の含有割合が0.001~5重量%であり、
(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1)として、ウレタン(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1a)又は、前記オリゴマー(B-1-1b)を含有し、その含量が5~90重量%であり、
単官能(メタ)アクリレートモノマー(B-1-2)の含有割合が5~70重量%であり、
光重合開始剤(C)の含有割合が0.01~5重量%であり、

上記(I)~(IX)の何れか一項に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤。
本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤は、塗布性を考え、25℃の粘度が100mPa・s~100Pa・sであることが好ましく、300~50000mPa・sの範囲となるように、成分の配合比を適宜調節することが特に好ましい。
本発明において、高い画像視認性を確保する観点から、紫外線硬化型接着剤が含有する不溶性固形成分は、紫外線硬化型接着剤に対して10重量%以下であることが好ましく、5重量%以下であることがより好ましく、1重量%以下であることが特に好ましい。
本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤の硬化物の硬化収縮率は5.0%以下であることが好ましく、3.0%以下であることが特に好ましい。これにより、紫外線硬化型接着剤が硬化する際に、樹脂硬化物に蓄積される内部応力を低減することができ、基材と紫外線硬化型接着剤の硬化物からなる層との界面に歪みができることを有効に防止することができる。また、ガラス等の基材が薄い場合には、硬化収縮率が大きい場合には硬化時の反りが大きくなることから、表示性能に大きな悪影響を及ぼす。当該観点からも、硬化収縮率は少ない方が好ましい。
また、該硬化物における400nmの光の透過率が高いと表示画像の視認性の向上が一層期待できることから、本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤の硬化物(用途により変化するが、例えば、膜厚200μmの硬化物)は、400nmの光の透過率が80%以上であることが好ましく、90%以上であることが特に好ましい。
本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤を、一方の光学基材に、スリットコーター、ロールコーター、スピンコーター又はスクリーン印刷法等の塗工装置を用いて、塗布した樹脂の膜厚が10~300μmとなるように塗布し、その塗布面に他方の光学基材を貼り合わせ、透明基材側から活性エネルギー線を照射して硬化させることで、光学基材同士を接着させることにより本発明の光学部材を得ることができる。このときの活性エネルギー線としては、例えば、紫外~近紫外(波長200~400nm付近)の光線が挙げられる。活性エネルギー線の照射量は約100~4000mJ/cm2であることが好ましく、特に好ましくは200~3000mJ/cm2程度である。
紫外~近紫外の光線の照射に使用する光源としては、紫外~近紫外の光線、好ましくは波長200~400nm付近の光線を照射するランプであれば、光源の種類を問わない。例えば、低圧、高圧若しくは超高圧水銀灯、メタルハライドランプ、(パルス)キセノンランプ、または無電極ランプ等が挙げられる。300nm~400nmの波長の出力が高く、紫外線硬化型樹脂組成物の硬化が速くなること、また、化合物(A)の励起が起こりやすくなることから、光源としてメタルハライドランプを用いるのが好ましい。
透明板又はシート(好ましくは透明シート)等の板状又はシート状の光学基材の厚さは特に制限は無く、通常は、5μm程度から5cm程度、好ましくは10μm程度から10mm程度、より好ましくは50μm~3mm程度の厚さである。
特にタッチパネルを構成する複数の透明板又はシートを貼り合わせる接着剤として、本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤は好適に使用することができる。
本明細書において、単に「光学基材」と言った場合、該光学基材は、表面に遮光部を有さない光学基材と、表面に遮光部を有する光学基材の両者を含む。遮光部を表面に有する光学基材においては、遮光部は、光学基材の両面または片面に形成されてもよいし、両面または片面の一部または全部に設けられていてもよい。尚、光学基材を貼り合わせたときに、紫外線が接着剤に照射されるように、少なくとも、貼り合わせた光学基材の一部には、遮光部が形成されておらず、紫外線を透過する露光部があることが好ましい。
その表面の一部に遮光部を有する光学基材における遮光部の位置は、特に限定は無い。好ましい態様としては、該光学基材の周辺部に帯状に、幅0.05mm~20mm、好ましくは0.05mm~10mm程度、より好ましくは0.1mm~8mm、更に好ましくは0.1mm~6mm程度の遮光部を有する場合である。
本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤が用いられる透明板又はシートとしては、様々な材料を使用した透明板又はシートが使用できる。具体的には、ポリエチレンテレフタラート(PET)、ポリカーボネート(PC)、ポリメタクリル酸メチル(PMMA)、PCとPMMAの複合体、ガラス、シクロオレフィンコポリマー(COC)、シクロオレフィンポリマー(COP)、トリアセチルセルロース(TAC)、アクリル樹脂等の樹脂から作成された透明板又はシート、また、それを複数枚積層した偏光板等の機能性透明積層板又はシート、無機ガラスから作成された透明板(無機ガラス板、及びその加工品(、例えば、レンズ、プリズム、ITOガラス)等を使用することができる。
また、本発明において、板状又はシート状の光学基材には、上記した偏光板などの他、タッチパネル、又は、液晶表示板又はLED等の表示体、等のように複数の機能板又はシートの積層体(以下機能性積層体ともいう)が含まれる。
本発明における光学基材としては、板状又はシート状の光学基材が好ましい。
本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤を使用することができるタッチパネルの表面の材質としては、ガラス、PET、PC、PMMA、PCとPMMAの複合体、COC及びCOPが挙げられる。
本発明で得られる好ましい光学部材の一つとして、一部(好ましくは周辺部)に遮光部を有する板状又はシート状の透明光学基材が、本発明の紫外線硬化型樹脂の硬化物で、上記機能性積層体と張り合わされた光学部材を挙げることが出来る。その好ましい例としては、タッチパネルのタッチセンサー側の表面に、周辺部に帯状の遮光部を有する上記透明板又はシートが、本発明の紫外線硬化型樹脂の硬化物で張り合わされたタッチパネル(又はタッチパネルセンサー)、又は、一部(好ましくは周辺部)に遮光部を有する保護板等の板状又はシート状の透明光学基材が、表示体の表示画面状に、本発明の紫外線硬化型樹脂の硬化物で張り合わされた表示装置を挙げることが出来る。
当該屈折率の範囲内であれば、透明板として使用される基材との屈折率の差を低減させることができ、光の乱反射を抑えて光損失を低減させることが可能となる。
(i)「課題を解決するための手段」の(1)に記載の発明において、紫外線硬化型接着剤が、(13)~(28)及び(31)の何れか一項に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤であるか、又は、前記、本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤における好ましい態様として記載された(I)~(XII)の何れか一項に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤である光学部材。
(ii)遮光部を表面に有する光学部材が、一部(好ましくは周辺部)に遮光部を有する板状又はシート状の透明光学基材である上記(i)に記載の光学部材。
(iii)遮光部を表面に有する光学部材と張り合わされるもう一方の光学基剤が、前記機能性積層体である光学部材。
(iv)前記機能性積層体がタッチパネル又は表示体である光学部材。
本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤を用いて得られる光学部材は、液晶ディスプレイ、プラズマディスプレイ及び有機ELディスプレイ等の表示装置に好適に使用することができ、特に、これら表示装置と位置入力装置を組み合わせたタッチパネルに好適に使用できる。
また、本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤を用いて得られる上記表示パネル等の光学部材は、例えば、テレビ、小型ゲーム機、携帯電話及びパソコンなどの電子機器(表示用電子機器)に組み込むことができる。

(吸収波長、発光波長測定)
実施例において化合物(A)として使用した各化合物のテトラヒドロフラン溶液(濃度0.002wt%)をそれぞれ調製し、各化合物の吸収スペクトルを分光光度計「UV-3150」(製品名、株式会社島津製作所製)を用いて測定した。実施例において化合物(A)として使用した各化合物の発光スペクトルを、蛍光光度計「F-7000」(製品名、株式会社日立ハイテクノロジーズ製)を用いて測定した。
まず、図1(a)のように、厚さ1mmのガラス板の一方の面の全面に黒色印刷処理を施して紫外線遮光部を形成した基板と、図1(b)のように、厚さ1mmのガラス基板の一方の面の面積の半分に黒色印刷処理を施して紫外線遮光部を形成した基板を用意した。ガラス基板の大きさは縦42mm、横75mmであった。これらの基板の紫外線遮光部が形成された面に、実施例1~6及び比較例1~2のそれぞれで得られた紫外線硬化型接着剤を、硬化後の膜厚が100μmとなるように塗布した。その後、それぞれの基板における紫外線遮光部が形成された面が互いに向かい合うように、2枚の基板を貼り合わせた。
次いで、図2のように、一方の面の面積の半分に黒色印刷処理を施した基板側から、紫外線を該接着剤層に照射した。実施例1~5及び比較例1~2の紫外線硬化型接着剤を用いて得られた光学部材については、高圧水銀灯(80W/cm、オゾンレス)を用いて積算光量3000mJ/cm2の紫外線を照射した。実施例6の紫外線硬化型接着剤を用いて得られた光学部材については、メタルハライドランプ(SSR engineering社製、D型光源(Hg+Fe)メタルハライドランプ、照度350mW/cm2)を用いて積算光量3000mJ/cm2の紫外線を照射した。その後、各実施例及び各比較例の接着剤層において図3に示すように黒色印刷処理部の端から接着剤の硬化が進行した距離(遮光部硬化距離)を測定した。
各実施例及び各比較例の遮光部硬化距離の測定結果、及び、下記の評価基準で行った遮光部透過性の評価結果を表1に示す。

フッ素系離型剤を塗布した厚さ1mmのスライドガラス2枚を用意し、そのうちの1枚の離型剤塗布面に、各実施例及び各比較例で得られた紫外線硬化型接着剤を、硬化後の膜厚が200μmとなるように塗布した。その後、2枚のスライドガラスを、それぞれの離型剤塗布面が互いに向かい合うように貼り合わせた。スライドガラスに挟まれた接着剤層に、ガラス越しに、高圧水銀灯(80W/cm、オゾンレス)を用いて積算光量2000mJ/cm2の紫外線を照射した。その後、2枚のスライドガラスを剥離することにより、透明性測定用の硬化物を作製した。該硬化物の透明性につき、分光光度計(製品名U-3310、株式会社日立ハイテクノロジーズ製)を用いて、400~800nmの範囲の透過率を測定した。その結果、実施例1~6のいずれにおいても、400~800nmの透過率は80%以上であった。
上記で得られた各実施例及び各比較例の硬化物に対する400nmでの透過率の測定結果を表1に示す。
表1の結果より、本発明の式(1)で表される化合物(A)、光重合性化合物(B)、および光重合開始剤(C)を含む本発明の紫外線硬化型接着剤の硬化物は、実用的で好ましい透過率を有することが確認された。即ち、実施例1の硬化物は、化合物(A)を含まない点以外は組成が同じである比較例1の硬化物に対して、透過率が0.3%しか低下していなかった。また、実施例2~6の硬化物は、化合物(A)を含まない点以外は組成が同じである比較例2の硬化物に対して、透過率が0~0.3%しか低下しておらず、特に実施例6の硬化物の透過率は全く低下していなかった。更に、実施例1~6の硬化物はいずれも透過率が90%以上であり、優れた光学性能を有していた。
フッ素系離型剤を塗布した厚さ1mmのスライドガラス2枚を用意し、そのうちの1枚の離型剤塗布面に、各実施例で得られた紫外線硬化型接着剤を、硬化後の膜厚が200μmとなるように塗布した。その後、2枚のスライドガラスを、それぞれの離型剤塗布面が互いに向かい合うように貼り合わせた。スライドガラスに挟まれた接着剤層に、ガラス越しに、高圧水銀灯(80W/cm、オゾンレス)を用いて積算光量2000mJ/cm2の紫外線を照射した。その後、2枚のスライドガラスを剥離することにより、膜比重測定用の硬化物を作製した。
JIS K7112 B法に準拠する方法により、得られた硬化物の比重(DS)を測定した。より具体的には、適量の硬化物をピクノメーターに入れてピクノメーターの重量を測定した後、そこに浸漬液を加えてピクノメーターを満たし、硬化物及び浸漬液を含むピクノメーターの重量を測定した。また、浸漬液のみで満たしたピクノメーターの重量を別途測定した。これらの測定結果から各実施例で得られた硬化物の比重を算出した。また、各実施例の硬化前の紫外線硬化型接着剤につき、25℃での液比重(DL)を測定した。DS及びDLの測定結果から、次式より硬化収縮率を算出した。
硬化収縮率(%)=(DS-DL)/DS×100
その結果、実施例1~6のいずれにおいても、硬化収縮率は1.5%未満であった。
得られた紫外線硬化型接着剤を充分に硬化させ、JIS K7215に準拠する方法により、デュロメータ硬度計(タイプE)を用いてデュロメータE硬さを測定し、柔軟性を評価した。より具体的には、各実施例の紫外線硬化型接着剤を、硬化後の膜厚が1cmとなるように円柱状の型に流し込み、次いで紫外線を照射して十分に硬化させ、得られた硬化物の硬度をデュロメータ硬度計(タイプE)で測定した。その結果、実施例1~6で得られた紫外線硬化型接着剤の硬化物はいずれも、デュロメータE硬さは10未満であり、柔軟性に優れていた。
面積が3.5インチの液晶表示ユニットの樹脂製フィルム表面に、実施例2~12で調製した各紫外線硬化型接着剤を、硬化後の膜厚が250μmとなるように塗布した。ついで、タッチセンサーを有するガラス基板を各紫外線硬化型接着剤上に乗せ、液晶表示ユニットと貼り合せた。最後に、タッチセンサーを有するガラス基板側から、超高圧水銀ランプ(TOSCURE(登録商標)752、ハリソン東芝ライティング株式会社製)を用いて積算光量20~1500mJ/cm2の範囲で紫外線を照射し、接着剤層を硬化させ、本発明の光学部材を作製した。
そして、金属製のワイヤーを用いて光学部材を切断し、液晶表示ユニット及びタッチセンサーを有するガラス基板から樹脂硬化物を分離した。その後、イソプロピルアルコールを染み込ませた布帛で液晶表示ユニットの樹脂製フィルム表面及びガラス基板表面を拭き取ることにより、樹脂製フィルム及びガラス基板に付着している樹脂硬化物の有無を目視で観察した。その結果、どの実施例の紫外線硬化型接着剤を使用した場合においても、樹脂製フィルム或いはガラス基板における樹脂硬化物の付着は確認されなかった。

- (メタ)アクリレート化合物(B-1)として、ウレタン(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー、又は、ポリイソプレン骨格又はポリブタジエン骨格の少なくとも一つの骨格を有する(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー、の何れか少なくとも一つの(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1)を含む請求項19に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤。
- (メタ)アクリレート化合物(B-1)として、単官能(メタ)アクリレートモノマー(B-1-2)を含む請求項19に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤。
- 光重合性化合物(B)として、(i)ウレタン(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー、または、ポリイソプレン骨格又はポリブタジエン骨格の少なくとも一つの骨格を有する(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー、の何れか少なくとも一つの(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1)及び(ii)単官能(メタ)アクリレートモノマー(B-1-2)を含む請求項13又は18に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤。
- 光重合性化合物(B)として、エポキシ化合物、又はオキセタン化合物を含む請求項13に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤。
- 化合物(A)、光重合性化合物(B)及び光重合開始剤(C)以外のその他の成分を更に含み、紫外線硬化型接着剤の総量中に、化合物(A)を0.001~5重量%、及び、光重合開始剤(C)を0.01~5重量%含み、残部が光重合性化合物(B)及びその他の成分である請求項13に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤。
- 光重合性化合物(B)として、(i)ウレタン(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー、又は、ポリイソプレン骨格又はポリブタジエン骨格の少なくとも一つの骨格を有する(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー、の何れか少なくとも一つの(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1)及び(ii)単官能(メタ)アクリレートモノマー(B-1-2)を含み、紫外線硬化型接着剤の総量中に、(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1)の含量が5~90重量%であり、単官能(メタ)アクリレートモノマー(B-1-2)の含量が5~70重量%であり、残部はその他の成分である請求項24に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤。
- 更に、柔軟化成分(D)を含有する請求項13~18及び23の何れか一項に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤、又は、その他の成分として、柔軟化成分(D)を含有する請求項24又は25に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤。
- 柔軟化成分(D)の含量が、紫外線硬化型接着剤の総量に対して10~80重量%である請求項26に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤。
- 光学基材及び遮光部を表面に有する光学基材がタッチパネル用である請求項13~18のいずれか一項に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤。
- 請求項13~18のいずれか一項に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤に活性エネルギー線を照射して得られる硬化物。
- 光学基材及び該遮光部を有する光学基材を、請求項13~18のいずれか一項に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤を用いて貼り合わせた後、活性エネルギー線を、遮光部を有する光学基材を通して、該紫外線硬化型接着剤に照射して硬化させることにより得られる光学部材の製造方法。
- 下記式(1)
(式中、R1は炭素数1~4のアルキル基を表し、Xは直接結合または下記式(2)
で表される連結基を表し、YはCHまたは窒素原子を表し、Zはフェニレン基、ビピリジン残基またはフルオレン残基を表す。t1及びt2はそれぞれ0~2の整数を示し、t1とt2が共に0となることはない。*は連結部を示し、式(1)における連結部はオキサジアゾール骨格の炭素原子と結合し、式(2)における連結部は左端がオキサジアゾール骨格に結合し、右端がベンゼン骨格またはピリジン骨格に結合する。)
で表される化合物(A)を、紫外線硬化型接着剤の総量中に、0.001~5重量%含み、残部が化合物(A)以外の紫外線硬化型接着剤成分である紫外線硬化型接着剤。 - 式(1)で表される化合物(A)が、
2-(4-ビフェニル)-5-(4-tert-ブチルフェニル)-1,3,4-オキサジアゾール、
1,3-ビス[2-(2,2’-ビピリジン-6-イル)-1,3,4-オキサジアゾ-5-イル]ベンゼン、
6,6’-ビス[5-(ビフェニル-4-イル)-1,3,4-オキサジアゾ-2-イル]-2,2’-ビピリジイル、及び、
1,3-ビス[2-(4-tert-ブチルフェニル)-1,3,4-オキサジアゾ-5-イル]ベンゼン、
からなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1つの化合物である請求項31に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤。 - 化合物(A)以外の紫外線硬化型接着剤成分として、光重合性化合物(B)、光重合開始剤(C)及び柔軟化成分(D)を含み、かつ、光重合性化合物(B)として、
(i)ウレタン(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー、及び、ポリイソプレン骨格又はポリブタジエン骨格の少なくとも何れか一方を有する(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマーの、少なくとも一つの(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1)、及び、
(ii)単官能(メタ)アクリレートモノマー(B-1-2)、
を含み、紫外線硬化型接着剤の総量中の(メタ)アクリレートオリゴマー(B-1-1)の含量が5~90重量%であり、単官能(メタ)アクリレートモノマー(B-1-2)の含量が5~70重量%であり、光重合開始剤(C)の含量が0.01~5重量%であり、柔軟化成分(D)の含量が10~80重量%であり、かつ、紫外線硬化型接着剤を光学基材及び遮光部を表面に有する光学基材を貼り合わせるために用いる、請求項31に記載の紫外線硬化型接着剤。
