Abstract

Der Axialventilator hat einen Motor (1), an dem rotorseitig ein Laufrad befestigt ist, von dessen Nabe Ventilatorflügel (24) abstehen, die eine Vorder- und eine Hinterkante (26, 27) aufweisen. Der Motor (1) ist mit einer Aufhängung (2) an einem Gehäuse (3) befestigt. Die Aufhängung weist ein Strebenteil (4 bis 8) aus Flachmaterial auf, das den Motor (1) mit dem Gehäuse (3) verbindet und in Strömungsrichtung der Luft etwa hochkant angeordnet ist. Um den Axialventilator so auszubilden, dass er einen hohen Gesamtwirkungsgrad sowie nur einen geringen Strömungswiderstand aufweist, ist das Strebenteil (4 bis 8) über einen Teil seiner Länge mit wenigstens einer Aussparung (7) versehen. Durch die Aussparung wird der Strömungswiderstand durch das Strebenteil minimiert. Die Aussparung verringert das Gewicht des Axialventilators. Die Lärmentstehung des Axialventilators ist stark reduziert, da die Größe von wirbelbehafteten Ablösegebieten durch die Aussparung stark verringert ist.
