これにより、筐体の4つの角部においても、板状部材を固定部材で筐体に確実に固定できる。
これにより、比較的長尺に形成された第2部材や第3部材に浮きが生じることを一層好適に防止できる。
従って、従来のように、板状部材を筐体に固定するために複数部材を用いる構造が不要となり、複数部材の境界付近における強度差を解消できる。
また、構造を簡略にできるため、部品コストの低減や組立工程を簡略にできる。
これにより、保護パネルと略同一寸法の表示装置を用いることができるので大型の表示装置を採用できる。
よって、表示装置の端面および保護パネルの端面を同一面に沿わせることにより、筐体の外形寸法と略同一形状の最大寸法の表示装置を採用できる。
このように、支持部材の板厚寸法を小さくすることにより、支持部材により保護パネルの表側に生ずる段差を小さくできる。
これにより、支持部材により保護パネルの表側に生ずる段差をなくすこと、あるいは段差を小さくできる。
さらに、弾性部材に対応する位置に支持部材の第2部材を設けることができる。よって、第2部材を保護パネルの側面に寄せることができる。これにより、第2部材の幅寸法を小さくできるので、携帯端末の平面積に対して表示装置を大画面化できる。
加えて、筐体および保護パネル間の空間を弾性部材で密封でき、表示装置の防水性を確保できる。
さらに、支持部材の第2部材を、保護パネルの表面における縁部に回りこませることにより保護パネルの縁部に段差が形成される。よって、掌の腹部が保護パネルに接触しないように、掌の腹部を第2部材で支えることができるので誤操作を防止できる。
加えて、第2部材で保護パネルの縁部に段差を形成することにより、段差に指の腹部を接触させて指が携帯端末の端部に位置していることを認識できる。
これにより、複数部材の境界付近における強度差を解消でき、また、構造を簡略にできるため、部品コストの低減や組立工程を簡略にできるという効果を有する。
すなわち、この固定部材は、第1部材ないし第5部材で略枠状に形成した固定部材と同様の役割を果たすことができるという効果を有する。
(第1実施形態)
図1に示すように、本発明の第1実施形態である携帯端末10は、所定厚みを有する平面略矩形状の筐体12と、筐体12に収納された表示部16と、表示部16を覆う板状部材(パネル)18と、板状部材18を筐体12に固定する固定部材20とを備えている。
この携帯端末10は、筐体12に操作部(キーシート)31、通話用受信部32および通話用送信部(図示せず)とを備えた携帯電子機器である。
ケース13に4角を有することにより、ケース13に4つの平面角部39が円弧状に形成されている。
載置面41は、ケース13の第1側面35、第2側面36、第3側面37および第4側面38に沿って略矩形枠状に形成されている。
図2に示すように、載置面41に板状部材18が両面テープ42を介して載置されている。
第3溝部45は、載置面41に対して平行に形成され、板状部材18とは反対側を向く第3段差面(段差面)46を有する。
なお、図2は第3側面37の部分断面図であるが、第1側面35、第2側面36および第4側面38も基本的には第3側面37と同様の構成となっている。
第1溝部および第2溝部は、第3溝部45と同様に、載置面41に対して平行に形成され、板状部材18とは反対側を向く第1段差面(段差面)および第2段差面(段差面)を有する。
第4溝部は、第3溝部45と同様に、載置面41に対して平行に形成され、板状部材18とは反対側を向く第4段差面(段差面)を有する。
この板状部材18は、筐体12とは反対側を向く表面18Aの縁部18Bを有する。
さらに、固定部材20は、ケース13の平面角部39に対応して設けられた4つの湾曲部29を有する。
第2部材22および第3部材23が湾曲状に形成されることにより、固定部材20の初期形状(未組付状態)において分断部26が大きく開いた状態で固定部材20が開脚状態に形成されている。
この固定部材20は、第4部材24および第5部材25間の離間寸法L1が増減するように変形可能な部材である。
第2部材22は、第1部材21の一端部21Aに連結され、第1側面35に隣り合う第2側面36に沿うように設けられている。
第3部材23は、第1部材21の他端部21Bに連結され、第1側面35に隣り合う第3側面37に沿うように設けられている。
この第4部材24は、係止片27を有する。
第4部材24の係止片27は、第4側面38の一部38Aにビス(図示せず)で係止されている。
この第5部材25は、係止片28を有する。
第5部材25の係止片28は、第4側面38の一部38Bにビス(図示せず)で係止されている。
固定部材20が筐体12への未取付状態において、分断部26の離間寸法L1がケース13の幅寸法より大きく開かれている。
一方、固定部材20が筐体12への取付状態において、固定部材20が変形されて分断部26の離間寸法L1が狭められる。
これにより、固定部材20をケース13に容易に組み付けることが可能になる。
すなわち、固定部材20は、図2に示すように、板状部材18における表面18Aの縁部18Bに係合し、かつ、ケース13の段差面46に係合する断面形状を有する。
第1部材21ないし第5部材25および湾曲部29は、同一断面形状に形成されている。
固定部材20の第3部材23は、ケース13の第3側面37に沿って設けられたウエブ47と、ウエブ47の上端から折り曲げられた第1フランジ48と、ウエブ47の下端から折り曲げられた第2フランジ49とを有する。
この固定部材20は、ウエブ47、第1フランジ48および第2フランジ49で断面C字(コ字)形状に形成されている。
さらに、第1フランジ48が、板状部材18の縁部18Bに係合されている。
よって、第1部材21ないし第5部材25により、平面略矩形状のケース13における4つの平面角部39をそれぞれ挟む第2側面36および第3側面37(一対の側面)において確実に板状部材18をケース13に固定できる。
これにより、従来のように、板状部材を筐体に固定するために複数部材を用いる構造が不要となり、複数部材の境界付近における強度差を解消できる。
また、構造を簡略にできるため、部品コストの低減や組立工程を簡略にできる。
これにより、ケース13の4つの平面角部39においても、板状部材18を固定部材20でケース13に確実に固定できる。
図4に示すように、ケース13の載置面41に板状部材18を両面テープ42(図2参照)を介して載置する。
この状態において、筐体12および板状部材18側に分断部26を向けて固定部材20を配置する。
分断部26の離間寸法L1がケース13の幅寸法より大きく開かれているので、配置した固定部材20をそのままの状態で、筐体12および板状部材18に向けて矢印B方向に移動できる。
第1部材21を第1側面35に接触させた後、固定部材20の第2部材22を矢印C方向に変形し、かつ、固定部材20の第3部材23を矢印C方向に変形する。
さらに、第4部材24が第4側面38の一部38Aに接触し、かつ、第5部材25が第4側面38の一部38Bに接触する。
さらに、第1フランジ48が板状部材18の縁部18Bに係合される。
これにより、ケース13(すなわち、筐体12)に板状部材18を固定部材20で固定できる。
第5部材25の係止片28(図5参照)を第4側面38の一部38Bにビス(図示せず)で係止し、係止したビスを筐体の外部から見えないように隠す。
これにより、固定部材20を筐体12(板状部材18を含む)に組み付ける手順が完了する。
なお、第2実施形態~第14実施形態において第1実施形態の携帯端末10と同一類似部材については同じ符号を付して説明を省略する。
図7、図8に示す第2実施形態の固定部材60は、第1実施形態の湾曲部29を湾曲部62に代えたもので、その他の構成は第1実施形態の固定部材20と同様である。
図9に示すように、湾曲部62は、第1実施形態のウエブ47のみを有する。
すなわち、湾曲部62は、第1実施形態の湾曲部29から第1フランジ48および第2フランジ49が除去された部位である。
湾曲部62をウエブ47のみで形成することにより固定部材60を容易に変形(弾性変形)することが可能になる。
これにより、固定部材60を筐体12に取り付ける作業を一層容易にできる。
図10、図11に示す第3実施形態の固定部材70は、第1実施形態の湾曲部29を湾曲部72に代えたもので、その他の構成は第1実施形態の固定部材20と同様である。
図12に示すように、湾曲部72は、第1実施形態のウエブ47と、ウエブ47の上端から折り曲げられた第1フランジ73と、ウエブ47の下端から折り曲げられた第2フランジ74とを有する。
第1フランジ73は、第1実施形態の第1フランジ48より幅寸法が小さく形成されている。
また、第2フランジ74は、第1実施形態の第2フランジ49より幅寸法が小さく形成されている。
湾曲部72は、ウエブ47、第1フランジ73および第2フランジ74で断面C字(コ字)形状に形成されている。
これにより、固定部材70を筐体12に取り付ける作業を一層容易にできる。
さらに、湾曲部72に第1フランジ73および第2フランジ74を設けることにより、第1フランジ73および第2フランジ74でケース13に板状部材18保持できる。
これにより、第2実施形態の固定部材60に比してケース13に板状部材18を一層確実に保持できる。
図13に示す第4実施形態の固定部材80は、第1実施形態の第2部材22および第3部材23を第2部材82および第3部材83に代えたもので、その他の構成は第1実施形態の固定部材20と同様である。
このため、第2部材22の中央部や第3部材23の中央部をケース13に好適に押圧することが難しいことが考えられる。
そこで、第2部材82および第3部材83を湾曲状に形成した。
第2部材82を湾曲状に形成することにより、第2部材82の長手方向中央部82Aが長手方向両端部82B、82Cよりもケース13(第2側面36)に対する接触圧力が高くなるような平面形状に形成されている。
第3部材83を湾曲状に形成することにより、第3部材83の長手方向中央部83Aが長手方向両端部83B、83Cよりもケース13(第3側面37)に対する接触圧力が高くなるような平面形状に形成されている。
これにより、比較的長尺に形成された第2部材82および第3部材83に浮きが生じることを一層確実に防止できる。
また、第1部材21を湾曲状に形成した形態も本発明に含まれる。
図14に示す第5実施形態の携帯端末90は、第1実施形態の筐体12、表示部16、板状部材18および固定部材20を筐体91、表示部92、板状部材93および固定部材95に代えたもので、その他の構成は第1実施形態の携帯端末10と同様である。
固定部材95は、筐体91の側面に沿って周回可能に平面形状が略円形に形成され、一端および他端(一部)95A、95B間に分断部96が形成された略枠状の部材である。
分断部96の離間寸法L2が筐体91の幅寸法Wより大きく開かれている。
固定部材95が筐体91への未取付状態において、分断部96の離間寸法L2が筐体91より大きく開かれている。
一方、固定部材95が筐体91への取付状態において、固定部材95が変形されて分断部96の離間寸法L2が狭められる。
これにより、固定部材95を筐体91に容易に組み付けることが可能になる。
従って、従来のように、板状部材を筐体に固定するために複数部材を用いる構造が不要となり、複数部材の境界付近における強度差を解消できる。
また、構造を簡略にできるため、部品コストの低減や組立工程を簡略にできる。
すなわち、第5実施形態の携帯端末90によれば、第1実施形態の携帯端末10と同様の効果が得られる。
図15に示す第6実施形態の携帯端末100は、第1実施形態の段差面46を段差面104に代えたもので、その他の構成は第1実施形態の携帯端末10と同様である。
第6実施形態の段差面104は、筐体102の底部周縁102Aを凹ませることにより形成されている。
第6実施形態の段差面104に固定部材20の第2フランジ49を係止することにより、第1実施形態と同様に、固定部材20で筐体102に板状部材18を取り付けることができる。
図16に示す第7実施形態の携帯端末110は、第1実施形態の筐体12、板状部材18および固定部材20を筐体112、板状部材113および固定部材115に代えたもので、その他の構成は第1実施形態の携帯端末10と同様である。
板状部材113は、筐体112の表面112Aに沿って載置可能に湾曲状に形成されている。
この固定部材105は、第2フランジ119が段差面117に係合され、第1フランジ118が板状部材113の縁部113Aに係合されている。
図17(A)、図17(B)に示す第8実施形態の携帯端末120は、第1実施形態の筐体12、板状部材18および固定部材20を筐体122、板状部材123および固定部材125に代えたもので、その他の構成は第1実施形態の携帯端末10と同様である。
板状部材123は、筐体122の第2側面122Aおよび第3側面122Bに対応する縁部123A、123Bが、筐体122と同様に半径R1で凹状の湾曲に形成されている。
第2部材126および第3部材127の半径R2は、第2側面122Aおよび第3側面122Bの半径R1より小さく形成されている。
さらに、第3部材127の長手方向中央部127Aが長手方向両端部127B、127Cよりも筐体122(第3側面122B)に対する接触圧力が高くなるような平面形状に形成されている。
これにより、比較的長尺に形成された第2部材126および第3部材127に浮きが生じることを一層確実に防止できる。
なお、筐体122の第1側面122Cが凹状の湾曲に形成され、かつ、固定部材20の第1部材128を湾曲状に形成した形態も本発明に含まれる。
図18(A)、図18(B)に示す変形例の携帯端末130は、第8実施形態の筐体122、板状部材123および固定部材125を筐体132、板状部材133および固定部材135に代えたもので、その他の構成は第8実施形態の携帯端末120と同様である。
板状部材133は、筐体132の第2側面132Aおよび第3側面132Bに対応する縁部133A、133Bが、筐体132と同様に半径R3で凸状の湾曲に形成されている。
第2部材136および第3部材137の半径R4は、第2側面132Aおよび第3側面132Bの半径R3より大きく形成されている。
さらに、第3部材137の長手方向中央部137Aが長手方向両端部137B、137Cよりも筐体132(第3側面132B)に対する接触圧力が高くなるような平面形状に形成されている。
これにより、第8実施形態の携帯端末120と同様に、比較的長尺に形成された第2部材136および第3部材137に浮きが生じることを一層確実に防止できる。
なお、筐体132の第1側面132Cが凹状の湾曲に形成され、かつ、固定部材135の第1部材138を湾曲状に形成した形態も本発明に含まれる。
図19に示すように、携帯端末310は、所定厚みを有する平面略矩形状の筐体311と、筐体311の上端部311Aに設けられた通話用受信部312と、筐体311の下端部311Bに設けられた通話用送信部313とを備えている。
さらに、携帯端末310は、シャーシ317に支持された表示装置(表示デバイス)318と、表示装置318に積層された保護パネル319と、表示装置318および保護パネル319を筐体311に固定する一対の支持部材320とを備えている。
溝部326は、側壁311Cの外面において筐体311の底部311Dに沿って形成されている。この溝部326に支持部材320の第3部材323(図21も参照)が差し込まれることにより、第3部材323が溝部326に係合される。
図21に示すように、表示装置318は、有機ELや液晶で略矩形状に形成され、両側の辺318A(片側の辺318Aのみを図示)が筐体311の段差部325に両面テープ328を介して張り付けられている。
すなわち、表示端面318Bおよび保護端面319Aが互いに同一面に沿うように形成されている。
よって、保護パネル319と略同一寸法L3(具体的には、幅方向の寸法)の表示装置318を用いることが可能になり、大型の表示装置318を採用できる。
同様に、保護パネル319の下端面319Eに対して表示装置318の下端面318Dが段差状に設けられている。すなわち、保護パネル319の下端面319Eおよび表示装置318の下端面318Dは同一面状に形成されていない。
図20、図22に示すように、支持部材320は、金属製の部材であって、筐体311の段差部325に配置されている。
この支持部材320は、上端部320Aが筐体311の上端部311Aに沿うように折り曲げられ、下端部320Bが筐体311の下端部311Bに沿うように折り曲げられている(図19も参照)。
第2部材322と第3部材323とが略平行に折り曲げられることにより、第1部材321、第2部材322および第3部材323で支持部材320が断面略コ字状に形成されている。
ここで、表示端面318Bおよび保護端面319Aが互いに同一面に沿うように形成されることにより、表示端面318Bを第1部材321に隣接させて配置できる。
また、第1部材321は、筐体311の側壁311Cに対して面一に配置されている。
よって、表示装置318の最大寸法L3を筐体311の外形寸法L4と略同一形状に設定できる。
保護パネル319の表面319B(縁部319C)を第2部材322で覆うことにより、保護パネル319の表面319Bに対して第2部材322が段差状に形成される。
これにより、保護パネル319の表面319Bおよび第2部材322で形成される段差を小さくできる。
このように、保護パネル319の表面319Bにシート329を積層することにより、支持部材320により保護パネル319の表面319Bに生ずる段差をなくすことや、段差を小さくできる。
第3部材323が溝部326に係合されることにより筐体311に固定され、第2部材322が保護パネル319の表面319Bにおける縁部319Cを覆うことにより、表示装置318および保護パネル319が支持部材320で一括して筐体311に固定される。
さらに、表示端面318Bを第1部材321に隣接させて配置することが可能になり、第1部材321を筐体311の側壁311Cに対して面一に配置できる。
これにより、表示装置318の最大寸法L3を筐体311の外形寸法L4と略同一形状に設定できるので、大型の表示装置318を採用できる。
図23に示す第10実施形態の携帯端末350は、第9実施形態の保護パネル319を保護パネル352に代えたもので、その他の構成は第9実施形態の携帯端末310と同じである。
保護パネル352の段差部353は、保護パネル352がガラス製の場合、切削加工により形成され、保護パネル352が樹脂製の場合一体成形または切削加工によって形成される。
なお、保護端面352Aおよび表示端面318Bは、第9実施形態と同様に、互いに同一面に沿うように形成されている。
図24(A)、(B)に示す第11実施形態の携帯端末360は、第9実施形態の支持部材320を支持部材362に代えたもので、その他の構成は第9実施形態の携帯端末310と同じである。
第2部材364が折り曲げられることにより、第1部材363および第2部材364で支持部材362が断面略L字状に形成されている。
第2部材364は、第9実施形態の第2部材322と同様に、保護パネル319の表面319Bにおける縁部319Cを覆う部材である。
第3部材365を溝部366に係合することにより、第3部材365が筐体311に固定され、第2部材364が保護パネル319の表面319Bにおける縁部319Cを覆うことにより、表示装置318および保護パネル319が支持部材362で一括して筐体311に固定される。
これにより、第9実施形態と同様に、大型の表示装置318を採用できる。
図25に示す第12実施形態の携帯端末370は、第9実施形態に備えた支持部材320の第3部材323を両面テープ328に貼り付けたもので、その他の構成は第9実施形態の携帯端末310と同じである。
両面テープ328を介して第3部材323を筐体311の段差部325に固定できる。
さらに、筐体311の側壁311Cから溝部326を除去できるので、筐体311の形状を簡素化できる。
図26、図27に示す第13実施形態の携帯端末400は、筐体401と、筐体401に収容される基板ユニット402と、筐体401に収容される表示装置404と、表示装置404の表側404A(図28参照)に積層される保護パネル405とを備えている。
さらに、携帯端末400は、筐体401および保護パネル405間に介装される弾性部材407と、筐体401に保護パネル405を固定する一対の支持部材411とを備えている。
加えて、携帯端末400は、一対の支持部材411の一端部411Aを支える樹脂製の第1フレーム415と、一対の支持部材411の他端部411Bを支える樹脂製の第2フレーム416とを備えている。
図28に示すように、弾性部材407は、筐体401の周辺部401A(図27も参照)および保護パネル405の周辺部405A(図27参照)間に介装されている。
筐体401および保護パネル405間の空間を弾性部材407で密封でき、表示装置404の防水性を確保できる。
第1部材412は、保護パネル405の側面405B、弾性部材407の側面407Aおよび筐体401の側面401Bに対面する部材である。
第2部材413は、第1部材412の上辺412Aから保護パネル405に向けて折り曲げられ、保護パネル405の表面405Cにおける縁部405Dを覆う部材である。
第3部材414は、第1部材412の下辺412B、すなわち第1部材412における第2部材413とは反対側から筐体401に向けて折り曲げられた部材である。
さらに、弾性部材407に対応する位置に第2部材413を設けることができるので、第2部材413を保護パネル405の側面405B側に寄せることができる。
これにより、第2部材413の幅寸法を小さくできるので、携帯端末400の平面積に対して表示装置404を大画面化できる。
さらに、支持部材411を断面略コ字状のメタルフレームとすることにより、支持部材411で保護パネル405を筐体401で確実に固定でき、かつ、支持部材411で保護パネル405の両側面405Bや筐体401の両側面401Bを保護できる。
また、第2部材413で保護パネル405の縁部405Dに段差を形成することにより、段差に指の腹部を接触させて指が携帯端末400の端部に位置していることを認識できる。
筐体401の周辺部401A(図28も参照)から矢印方向の範囲が防水領域となる。
また、第3部材414の端部414Aがビス418で筐体401に固定された状態でビス418の端部418Aがグランド部材423の一端部423Aに接触されている。
グランド部材423は、板金で形成され、一端部423Aがビス418の端部418Aに接触され、かつ他端部423Bが基板ユニット402の回路基板403に接触されている。
さらに、例えば、静電気が印可された際に、支持部材411を避雷針として活用でき、表示装置404(図28参照)の動作異常等の発生を防ぐことができる。
図30に示す第14実施形態の携帯端末450は、弾性部材407に接続された帯部452を有するもので、その他の構成は第13実施形態の携帯端末400と同じである。
帯部452は、弾性部材407に接続され、表示装置404および保護パネル405間に介装されている。
これにより、表示装置404および保護パネル405間の隙間を帯部452で密封でき、表示装置404および保護パネル405間の防塵性能をより一層高めることができる。
例えば、第1実施形態~第8実施形態では、固定部材の初期形状が開脚形状だが、筐体の平面形状に対応した初期形状で、組付作業にあたって分断部を広げるように変形させてもよい。
例えば、保護パネル319の上端面319Dおよび表示装置318の上端面318Cを同一面状に形成し、保護パネル319の下端面319Eおよび表示装置318の下端面318Dを同一面状に形成することも可能である。

前記筐体の厚み方向に沿った片側の載置面に載置される板状部材と、
前記筐体に前記板状部材を固定する固定部材とを備え、
前記固定部材が、
前記筐体における前記載置面に対して交差する第1側面に沿う第1部材と、
前記第1部材に連結され、前記第1側面にそれぞれ隣り合う第2側面および第3側面にそれぞれ沿う第2部材および第3部材と、
前記第2部材に連結され、前記第2側面に隣り合うとともに前記第1側面とは反対側の第4側面の一部に沿う第4部材と、
前記第3部材に連結され、前記第4側面の一部に沿う第5部材と、
前記第4部材および前記第5部材間に設けられた分断部とを有する略枠状とされ、

前記筐体に支持される表示装置と、
前記表示装置に積層される保護パネルと、
前記筐体に前記表示装置および前記保護パネルを固定するための支持部材と、を備え、
前記支持部材が、
互いに同一面に沿う前記表示装置の表示端面および前記保護パネルの保護端面に対して平行な第1部材と、
前記第1部材に連結され、前記保護パネルの表面における縁部を覆う第2部材と、
前記第1部材における前記第2部材とは反対側に設けられ、前記筐体に固定される第3部材とを有する携帯端末。 - 請求項5に記載の携帯端末において、
前記支持部材が、
前記第2部材と前記第3部材とが略平行な断面略コ字状であるとともに、
前記筐体の側面に前記第3部材が係合可能な段差面が設けられている携帯端末。 - 請求項5または請求項6に記載の携帯端末において、
前記表示端面および前記保護端面が同一面に沿う携帯端末。 - 請求項5ないし請求項7のうちのいずれか1項に記載の携帯端末において、
前記支持部材が金属製である携帯端末。 - 請求項5ないし請求項8のうちのいずれか1項に記載の携帯端末において、
前記保護パネルの表面にシートが積層されている携帯端末。 - 筐体と、
前記筐体に収容される表示装置と、
前記表示装置の表側に積層される保護パネルと、
前記表示装置の側面を覆うとともに、前記筐体および前記保護パネル間に介装される弾性部材と、
前記筐体に前記保護パネルを固定するための支持部材と、を備え、
前記支持部材が、
前記保護パネルの側面および前記弾性部材に対面する第1部材と、
前記第1部材に連結され、前記保護パネルの表面における縁部を覆う第2部材と、
前記第1部材における前記第2部材とは反対側に設けられ、前記筐体に固定される第3部材とを有する携帯端末。 - 請求項10に記載の携帯端末において、
前記弾性部材に接続され、前記表示装置および前記保護パネル間に介装される帯部を有する携帯端末。 - 請求項10または請求項11に記載の携帯端末において、
前記支持部材が金属製であるとともに、前記筐体に収容された回路基板と電気的に接続されている携帯端末。
