Description
本発明は、遊星摩擦車式無段変速機に関する。
従来、無段変速機として円錐状(テーパ状)の遊星歯車機構を用いた遊星摩擦車式無段変速機が知られている。例えば、特許文献1には、入力軸のトルクを、キャリア、テーパローラ及び、リングローラを介して出力軸へと伝達し、変速リングとテーパローラとの接触位置を変えることで、出力軸を入力軸に対して順転、停止もしくは、逆転させるようにした遊星摩擦車式無段変速機が開示されている。
ところで、上述の遊星摩擦車式無段変速機においては、トルクローディングを行うためにリングローラと出力軸との間の円弧溝に転動体を介装したローディング機構を設けている。このローディング機構は、リングローラと出力軸との間にトルク差が生じると、転動体がリングローラと出力軸とを軸方向に押し付けることによりトルクローディングが行われるように構成されている。
しかし、係る方式によれば、テーパローラやリングローラ等の各接触部の摩擦力や精度の影響によって、テーパローラの軸方向への移動が妨げられてしまい、テーパローラと変速リングとの接触点に十分な押し付け力を得られない可能性がある。
本発明は、このような点に鑑みてなされたもので、その目的は、遊星摩擦車式無段変速機において、テーパローラと変速リングとの接触点に十分な押し付け力を発生させて、トルクローディングの効率を向上させることにある。

図1に示すように、本実施形態の遊星摩擦車式無段変速機10は、ケース本体11と、入力軸12と、キャリア13と、遊星摩擦車16と、サンローラ17と、リングローラ19と、出力軸20と、変速リング21と、ローディングカム部22とを備えている。なお、説明の便宜のため、図1において遊星摩擦車式無段変速機10の下半分の構成については図示を省略している。
ケース本体11は、その内部に遊星摩擦車式無段変速機10の各機構を収容するとともに、両側部には入力軸12と出力軸20とを回転自在に支持する軸受30,31がそれぞれ設けられている。
入力軸12は、図示しないエンジンの回転軸にクラッチ等を介して接続されている。また、入力軸12は、入力側をケース本体11の軸受30に挿通されるとともに、出力側をキャリア13に接続されている。
キャリア13は、入力側から出力側に向かって外径が小さくなる横断面台形の円錐状に形成されるとともに、その内部には後述するサンローラ16を回転可能に収容する中空部が形成されている。また、キャリア底部13aの外側面には入力軸12の出力側端部が固定され、キャリア13の円錐外周面には後述する遊星摩擦車16が収容される開口部13bが形成されている。この開口部13bの個数は、遊星摩擦車16の個数(例えば3~5個)に対応して設定されている。さらに、キャリア底面13aの外周部には入力側テーパローラ支持部14が設けられ、キャリア頂部13cの外周部には出力側テーパローラ支持部15が設けられている。この入力側テーパローラ支持部14と出力側テーパローラ支持部15の個数は、遊星摩擦車16の個数(例えば3~5個)に対応して設定されている。

図3に示すように、出力側テーパローラ支持部15は、キャリア頂部13cの外周の一部をV字状に切欠いて形成されている。すなわち、出力側テーパローラ支持部15は、キャリア頂部13cの外周から軸中心に向かってV字状に切欠いたV字状溝部15aで構成されている。このV字状溝部15aには、遊星摩擦車16の回転軸16dの出力側端部が軸受15bを介して回転自在に支持されている。
遊星摩擦車16は複数個(例えば3~5個)設けられており、図1に示すように、回転軸16dが入力側から出力側に向かってサンローラ17の軸心に近づくように傾斜して配置されている。このサンローラ17は、軸心が入力軸12と同一直線上になるように設けられている。また、遊星摩擦車16は、入力側から順に第1テーパローラ16aと、第2テーパローラ16bと、第3テーパローラ16cとを備えている。これら第1テーパローラ16a、第2テーパローラ16b及び、第3テーパローラ16cは、回転軸16dと一体回転可能に設けられている。
第1テーパローラ16aと第3テーパローラ16cとは、入力側から出力側に向かって外径が小さくなる円錐状(テーパ状)に形成されている。この第1テーパローラ16aがサンローラ17の第1ローラ17aと接触し、第3テーパローラ16cがサンローラ17の第2ローラ17bと接触することで、サンローラ17を回転軸17c回りに回転させるように構成されている。
第2テーパローラ16bは、入力軸12や回転軸17cに対して外方に位置する外周面が、これら入力軸12及び回転軸17cの軸心と平行になるように、入力側から出力側に向かって外径が大きくなる円錐状(テーパ状)に形成されている。また、第2テーパローラ16bは、変速リング21の内周面と接触しており、キャリア13の回転とともに自転するように構成されている。
サンローラ17は、その回転軸17cが入力軸12の軸心と同一直線上に位置するように、キャリア13の中空部内に回転可能に配設されている。また、回転軸17cの入力側端部には、第1テーパローラ16aと接触する第1ローラ17aが設けられ、回転軸17cの出力側端部には、第3テーパローラ16cと接触する第2ローラ17bが設けられている。この第1ローラ17aと第2ローラ17bとは、入力側から出力側に向かって外径が小さくなる円錐状(テーパ状)に形成されている。
リングローラ19は、有底の円筒状に形成されており、開口部を入力側に向けた状態で、その軸心が出力軸20と同一直線上になるように配設されている。また、リングローラ19の開口部には、出力側から入力側に向かって外方に傾斜する傾斜面19aが形成されており、この傾斜面19aが第3テーパローラ16cと接触することで回転されるように構成されている。
出力軸20は、その軸心が入力軸12と同一直線上に位置するように、ケース本体11に軸受31を介して回転自在に支持されている。また、出力軸20の入力側端部は、ローディングカム部22を介してリングローラ19に接続されている。
変速リング21は、ケース本体11内に入力軸12と平行に設けられたネジ軸21aに螺合されている。このネジ軸21aの端部には、ネジ軸21aを回転させる図示しないステップモータが設けられており、変速指示に応じてネジ軸21aが回転することで、変速リング21を入力軸12の軸方向(図1のX-Y方向)へと移動させるように構成されている。
ローディングカム部22は、図4に示すように、リングローラ19と出力軸20との間にテーパを回転方向に付けるように形成された円弧状溝22aと、この円弧状溝22aの内部に設けられた球体(転動体)22bとを備えて構成されている。このローディングカム部22は、無負荷状態(図5(a)参照)からトルク差の生じる負荷状態(図5(b)参照)になると、球体22bがリングローラ19と出力軸20とを軸方向に押し付けることで、トルクローディングが行われるように構成されている。なお、円弧状溝22aは、テーパを回転方向に付けられるものであれば、例えばV字状の溝であってもよい。
以下、本実施形態に係る遊星摩擦車式無段変速機10の作用効果について説明する。
図示しないクラッチが接続状態にされて入力軸12が回転されると、キャリア13は入力軸12と一体に回転するとともに、V字状溝部14aに回転軸16dを支持された遊星摩擦車16が公転される。この時、公転する遊星摩擦車16の第2テーパローラ16bは、変速リング21の内周面と接触しているため、遊星摩擦車16の公転方向とは逆方向に自転する。また、同時にサンローラ17は、第1ローラ17aが遊星摩擦車16の第1テーパローラ16aと接触し、かつ第2ローラ17bが遊星摩擦車16の第3テーパローラ16cと接触しているので、これらテーパローラ16a~16cの自転方向とは逆方向に回転する。
リングローラ19は、遊星摩擦車16の第3テーパローラ16cと接触しているため、第3テーパローラ16cの自転方向とは逆方向に回転し、リングローラ19と出力軸20との間にトルク差が生じる。そして、トルク差が生じて、リングローラ19と出力軸20とがローディングカム部22の球体22bにより軸方向に押し付けられると、出力軸20はリングローラ19と共に回転する。
このように、トルクローディングの際にトルク差が生じると、V字状溝部14aに軸受14bを介して支持された回転軸16dの入力側端部及び、V字状溝部15aに軸受15bを介して支持された回転軸16dの出力側端部には、キャリア13の回転方向とは逆向きの力が作用する(図6(a)の矢印X参照)。そして、図6(b)に示すように、回転軸16dが公転中心から外方へと押し出されて、遊星摩擦車16の公転半径が増加することで、第2テーパローラ16bと変速リング21との接触部に押し付け力が発生する。この時のローディング力は、図7に示すように、入力トルクTin(Fin)がカム機構を介してくさび効果により大きな接触面押付力に変換されることで発生するようになっている。
したがって、第2テーパローラ16bと変速リング21との接触部に十分な押し付け力を発生させることができるとともに、トルクローディングの効率を効果的に向上させることができる。
また、遊星摩擦車式無段変速機10のトルクローディングが効率的に行われることで、各軸受14b,15bの負担を効果的に低減することができる。
また、遊星摩擦車16の回転軸16dは、その入力側端部をV字状溝部14aに支持され、出力側端部をV字状溝部15aに支持されている。すなわち、遊星摩擦車式無段変速機10が停止している際は、回転軸16dの入力側端部がV字状溝部14aの底部に着座される一方、出力側端部がV字状溝部15aの底部に着座されることになる。
したがって、遊星摩擦車式無段変速機10の停止時における遊星摩擦車16の位置を、入力側テーパローラ支持部14及び出力側テーパローラ支持部15の中心位置に常に保つことが可能となる。
なお、本発明は、上述の実施形態に限定されるものではなく、本発明の趣旨を逸脱しない範囲で、適宜変形して実施することが可能である。
例えば、入力側テーパローラ支持部14は、V字状の溝形状に形成される必要はなく、図8(a)に示すように、キャリア13の外周の一部を直線状に切欠いて形成されてもよい。同様に、出力側テーパローラ支持部15も、図8(b)に示すように、キャリア頂部13cの外周の一部を直線状に切欠いて形成されてもよい。この場合も、図9に示すように、回転軸16dが公転中心から外方へと押し出されて、遊星摩擦車16の公転半径が増加するので、上述の実施形態と同様の作用効果を奏することができる。

Claims (6)
- ケースに回転自在に支持される入力軸と、
入力側から出力側に向かって外径が小さくなる断面台形の中空円錐状に形成されるとともに、その円錐外周面に開口部が形成され、底部の外側面に前記入力軸の出力側端部が固定されるキャリアと、
前記キャリアの開口部内に回転可能に配置され、前記入力軸の軸心に対して傾斜する回転軸に入力側から第1テーパローラ、第2テーパローラ及び、第3テーパローラを有する遊星摩擦車と、
前記キャリアの底部外周の一部を切欠いて形成されるとともに、前記遊星摩擦車の回転軸の入力側端部を回転自在に支持する入力側支持部と、
前記入力軸と同一直線上に設けられ、前記第1テーパローラと前記第3テーパローラとに接触して回転されるサンローラと、
前記入力軸と同一直線上に設けられ、その内周面が前記第3テーパローラに接触して回転されるリングローラと、
前記入力軸と同一直線上に前記リングローラの出力側端部から間隔を隔てて設けられ、前記ケースに回転自在に支持される出力軸と、
前記リングローラと前記出力軸との間に形成されたテーパ状の溝部に、該リングローラと該出力軸との間にトルク差が生じた時に該リングローラと該出力軸とを軸方向に押し付ける転動体を有するローディング部と、
前記入力軸の軸方向に移動可能に設けられるとともに、その内周面が前記第2テーパローラの外周面の少なくとも一部と接触して前記遊星摩擦車を自転させる変速リングと、を備える遊星摩擦車式無段変速機。 - 前記入力側支持部は、
前記キャリア底部の外周の一部をV字状の溝形状に切欠いて形成される請求項1に記載の遊星摩擦車式無段変速機。 - 前記遊星摩擦車の回転軸の入力側端部は、
前記入力側支持部に軸受を介して回転自在に支持される請求項1又は2に記載の遊星摩擦車式無段変速機。 - 前記キャリア頂部の外周の一部を切欠いて形成されるとともに、前記遊星摩擦車の回転軸の出力側端部を回転自在に支持する出力側支持部をさらに備える請求項1~3の何れかに記載の遊星摩擦車式無段変速機。
- 前記出力側支持部は、
前記キャリア頂部の外周の一部をV字状の溝形状に切欠いて形成される請求項4に記載の遊星摩擦車式無段変速機。 - 前記遊星摩擦車の回転軸の出力側端部は、
