L'invention se caractérise en ce qu'un élément de recouvrement (4) recouvre l'assemblage par soudure (3), comme renforcement de protection balistique. L'invention concerne par ailleurs une structure rigide à protection balistique, en particulier une structure rigide de véhicule, qui comprend un élément de blindage (1) muni d'un élément de montage (2) soudé à lui par assemblage par soudure (3) et servant à fixer un objet à l'élément de blindage (1), ledit élément de blindage (1) étant conçu comme mentionné précédemment.
