Abstract

(a) 부티르산 생산균주를 이용한 발효공정으로부터 부티레이트염을 포함한 발효액을 생산하는 단계; (b) 상기 발효액에 탄산 이외의 무기산 또는 이산화탄소를 가하여 부티레이트 염을 부티르산으로 전환시킨 후, 추출용매를 사용하여 연속식 추출장치에서 부티르산이 포함된 추출액을 얻는 단계, 상기 연속식 추출장치는 추출 컬럼 내부에 설치된 다수의 추출단이 상하로 왕복운동하며, 발효액은 컬럼 상부로 공급되고, 추출 용매는 컬럼 하부로 공급; 및 (c) 상기 추출액과 탄소 수 4이하의 알코올 또는 이들의 혼합물을 에스테르 반응기에서 반응시켜 알킬부티레이트로 전환하는 단계를 포함하는 알킬부티레이트 제조방법이 제시된다. 본 발명에 따르면, 미생물 배양액에 존재하는 부티르산을 효율적으로 추출함과 동시에, 별도의 추출용매 분리 과정 필요 없이, 에너지 소모량을 최소화하면서 알킬부티레이트를 가격 경쟁력 있게 제조할 수 있다.
