本発明の実施形態1に係るテキスト変換装置を備える携帯電話10を、以下図面を参照して説明する。
ユーザは、新規メールを作成したい場合に、入力部120を操作して新規メールを作成するための画面(新規メール作成画面)を表示する旨の指示をする。この指示に応答して、入力部120は、当該指示を示す信号を制御部170に送信する。制御部170は、この信号に応答して、図5に示す新規メール作成画面を表示する。
このように本文入力画面が表示された後、制御部170が、入力部120によって入力されたテキストの変換候補を表示する処理を、図7A乃至7Cを参照して説明する。
このように変換候補が変換候補表示部に表示された後に、テキスト変換部174が、入力部120によって入力されたテキスト(例えば平仮名のテキスト)を変換して、ユーザの意図する内容のテキストとして確定する処理を説明する。
確定したテキストは、例えばメール本文のカーソルの位置に挿入される。
ユーザは、携帯電話10のメールの本文に所望のコンテンツを添付したい場合に、このコンテンツを検索し、発見したコンテンツをメールの本文に添付する。
ユーザは、新規メールを作成する場合に、実施形態1と同様にして、入力部120を操作して新規メール作成画面を表示する旨の指示をする。
制御部170は、実施形態1と同様にして、本文入力画面を表示する。
このように本文入力画面が表示された後、制御部170が、入力部120によって入力されたテキストの変換候補を表示する処理を、図11を参照して説明する。
このようにコンテンツのサムネイル及びファイル名の組並びに変換候補が変換候補表示部に表示された後に、制御部170が、入力部120によって入力されたテキスト(平仮名)を変換し、ユーザの意図する内容に確定する処理を説明する。
実施形態2では、コンテンツDB165に記憶されているコンテンツのファイル名を検索し、少ないキー操作でこのファイル名が付されたコンテンツを抽出し、メールに添付することができる携帯電話10を説明した。この発明はこれに限定されず、ファイル名の検索は、必ずしもコンテンツDB165を利用して行う必要はなく、コンテンツ記憶部166を直接参照してファイル名を検索してもよい。
ユーザは、新規メールを作成したい場合に、実施形態1と同様にして、入力部120を操作して新規メール作成画面を表示する旨の指示をする。
制御部170は、実施形態1と同様にして、本文入力画面を表示する。
このように本文入力画面が表示された後、制御部170が、入力部120によって入力されたテキストの変換候補を表示する処理を、図14A、14Bを参照して説明する。
このようにコンテンツのサムネイル及びファイル名の組並びに変換候補が変換候補表示部に表示された後にテキスト変換部174及び/又はコンテンツ添付部176は、実施形態2と同様にして、入力部120によって入力されたテキスト(平仮名)を変換する。テキストの変換がコンテンツを確定するものであれば、コンテンツ添付部176は確定したコンテンツをメールに添付する。
共に入力部によって入力されたテキストを、情報抽出部173又はコンテンツ抽出部175、すなわち前記関連情報抽出部177、により抽出された情報のいずれかに変換するという点で共通している。なお、テキスト変換部174は、予測変換DBへの情報の記憶保存を含む場合があり、コンテンツ添付部176は、確定した「コンテンツ」情報に基づき、該当する「コンテンツ」をメール等に添付する機能を含むという点で互いに相違する。両機能はDB識別情報の値(その有無を含む)によって切り換える。
