- Heating step S02 Next, heat treatment is performed for homogenization and solution of the obtained ingot (copper material). Inside the ingot, there are intermetallic compounds and the like generated by the segregation and concentration of Mg during the solidification process. Therefore, in order to eliminate or reduce these Mg segregation, intermetallic compounds, and the like, heat treatment is performed to heat the ingot to a temperature of 500 ° C. or higher and 900 ° C. or lower. When the final form is a wire or bar, wire drawing, extrusion, and groove rolling can be employed. When the final form is a bulk shape, forging or pressing can be employed.
- the temperature condition in the processing step S04 is not particularly limited, but is preferably in the range of ⁇ 200 ° C. to 200 ° C. for cold or warm processing. Further, the processing rate is appropriately selected so as to approximate the final shape. In order to improve the strength by work hardening, the working rate is preferably 20% or more. Also. For this reason, bending workability improves. Therefore, it is possible to mold electronic and electrical parts having complicated shapes such as terminals, connectors, and relays. Since Mg is supersaturated, the strength is improved by work hardening, and a relatively high strength can be obtained. Since it consists of Cu, Mg, and the binary system alloy of Cu and Mg which consist of an inevitable impurity, the fall of the electrical conductivity by another element is suppressed and electrical conductivity can be made comparatively high.
- the Young's modulus E is 125 GPa or less and the 0.2% proof stress ⁇ 0.2 is 400 MPa or more, so the elastic energy coefficient ( ⁇ 0.2 2 / 2E) is high. .
- the elastic energy coefficient ⁇ 0.2 2 / 2E
- Mg can be solutionized.
- the rapid cooling step S03 that cools the ingot or the workpiece heated in the heating step S02 to a temperature of 200 ° C. or less at a cooling rate of 200 ° C./min or more can suppress the precipitation of intermetallic compounds during the cooling process. . For this reason, the ingot or processed material after quenching can be made into a Cu—Mg supersaturated solid solution.
- the strength can be improved by work hardening. Further, when the heat treatment step S05 is performed after the processing step S04 in order to perform low-temperature annealing hardening or to remove residual strain, it is possible to further improve the mechanical characteristics.
- the electronic device has low Young's modulus, high yield strength, high conductivity, and excellent bending workability, and is suitable for electronic electrical components such as terminals, connectors, and relays. Copper alloy can be provided.
- the copper alloy for electronic devices includes Mg in a range of 3.3 atomic% to 6.9 atomic%, and includes Zn in a range of 0.1 atomic% to 10 atomic%,
- the balance consists of a ternary alloy of Cu, Mg, and Zn consisting of only Cu and inevitable impurities.
- the electrical conductivity ⁇ (% IACS) is in the following range.
- the average number of intermetallic compounds having a particle size of 0.1 ⁇ m or more measured by observation using a scanning electron microscope is 1 piece / ⁇ m 2 or less.
- the electronic device copper alloy has a Young's modulus E of 125 GPa or less, and a 0.2% proof stress ⁇ 0.2 of 400 MPa or more.
- Mg is an element that has the effect of improving the strength and raising the recrystallization temperature without greatly reducing the electrical conductivity.
- Young's modulus can be kept low and excellent bending workability can be obtained.
- the content of Mg is less than 3.3 atomic%, the effect cannot be sufficiently obtained.
- the Mg content exceeds 6.9 atomic%, an intermetallic compound containing Cu and Mg as main components remains when heat treatment is performed for solution treatment. There is a risk of cracking. For these reasons, the Mg content is set to 3.3 atomic% or more and 6.9 atomic% or less.
- the Mg content is small, the strength may not be sufficiently improved and the Young's modulus may not be sufficiently low. Moreover, since Mg is an active element, when an excessive amount of Mg is contained, there is a possibility that Mg oxide generated by reaction with oxygen is involved (mixed in the copper alloy) during melt casting. Therefore, it is more preferable that the Mg content is in the range of 3.7 atomic% to 6.3 atomic%.
- Zn is an element having an effect of improving the strength without increasing the Young's modulus by being dissolved in a copper alloy in which Mg is dissolved.
- the Zn content is less than 0.1 atomic%, the effect cannot be obtained sufficiently.
- the Zn content exceeds 10 atomic%, the intermetallic compound remains when heat treatment is performed for solution treatment, and cracks may occur in subsequent processing. In addition, the stress corrosion cracking resistance is reduced. For these reasons, the Zn content is set to 0.1 atomic percent or more and 10 atomic percent or less.
- Inevitable impurities include Sn, Fe, Co, Al, Ag, Mn, B, P, Ca, Sr, Ba, rare earth elements, Zr, Hf, V, Nb, Ta, Cr, Mo, W, Re, Ru, Os, Se, Te, Rh, Ir, Pd, Pt, Au, Cd, Ga, In, Li, Si, Ge, As, Sb, Ti, Tl, Pb, Bi, S, O, C, Ni, Examples include Be, N, H, Hg, and the like.
- the rare earth element is at least one selected from Sc, Y, La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Pm, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, and Lu.
- the content of these inevitable impurities is desirably 0.3% by mass or less in total.
- the manufacturing conditions are adjusted so that the electrical conductivity ⁇ is within the range of the above formula.
- the amount of intermetallic compound is smaller, and therefore the bending workability is further improved.
- the average number of intermetallic compounds having a particle size of 0.1 ⁇ m or more measured by observation with a scanning electron microscope is 1 piece / ⁇ m 2 or less. That is, almost no intermetallic compound is precipitated, and Mg and Zn are dissolved in the matrix. When solutionization is incomplete or an intermetallic compound is precipitated after solutionization, a large amount of a large intermetallic compound is present. Since these intermetallic compounds serve as starting points of cracking, in a copper alloy in which a large amount of intermetallic compounds are present in a large amount, cracking occurs during processing or bending workability is greatly deteriorated. Further, when the amount of the intermetallic compound is large, the Young's modulus increases, which is not preferable.
- the average number of intermetallic compounds having a particle size of 0.1 ⁇ m or more is 1 / ⁇ m 2 or less, that is, no intermetallic compound is present, or the amount of intermetallic compound is small. Good bending workability and low Young's modulus can be obtained. In order to reliably obtain the above-described effects, it is more preferable that the average number of intermetallic compounds having a particle size of 0.05 ⁇ m or more is 1 piece / ⁇ m 2 or less.
- the average number of intermetallic compounds is measured by the following method. Using a field emission scanning electron microscope, magnification: 50,000 times field of view: perform 10 field of view observed at approximately 4.8 .mu.m 2 conditions, measuring the number of intermetallic compounds in the field of view (number / [mu] m 2) . Then, the average value is calculated.
- the particle size of the intermetallic compound is the average value of the major axis and minor axis of the intermetallic compound.
- the major axis is the length of the straight line that can be drawn the longest in the grain under conditions that do not contact the grain boundary, and the minor axis is the longest in the direction that intersects the major axis at a right angle and that does not contact the grain boundary. The length of a straight line that can be drawn.
- the above-described elements are added to a molten copper obtained by melting a copper raw material to adjust the components, thereby producing a molten copper alloy.
- the raw materials for Mg and Zn Mg alone, Zn alone, Cu—Mg master alloy, or the like can be used.
- the molten copper is preferably copper having a purity of 99.99% by mass or more, so-called 4NCu.
- a vacuum furnace in order to suppress the oxidation of Mg and Zn, and it is more preferable to use an atmosphere furnace having an inert gas atmosphere or a reducing atmosphere.
- the ingot (copper raw material) is produced by inject
- Heating step S02 Next, heat treatment is performed for homogenization and solution of the obtained ingot (copper material). Inside the ingot, there are intermetallic compounds and the like generated by Mg and Zn segregating and concentrating during the solidification process. Therefore, in order to eliminate or reduce the segregation of Mg and Zn, intermetallic compounds, and the like, heat treatment is performed to heat the ingot to a temperature of 500 ° C. or higher and 900 ° C. or lower. Thereby, Mg and Zn are uniformly diffused in the ingot, or Mg and Zn are dissolved in the matrix. In addition, it is preferable to implement this heating process S02 in a non-oxidizing atmosphere or a reducing atmosphere.
- Rapid cooling step S03 And the ingot heated to the temperature of 500 degreeC or more and 900 degrees C or less in heating process S02 is cooled to the temperature of 200 degrees C or less by the cooling rate of 200 degrees C / min or more.
- Mg and Zn dissolved in the matrix are prevented from being precipitated as intermetallic compounds.
- a copper alloy having an average number of intermetallic compounds having a particle size of 0.1 ⁇ m or more of 1 / ⁇ m 2 or less is obtained.
- hot working may be performed after the above-described heating step S02, and the above-described rapid cooling step S03 may be performed after the hot working.
- the processing method is not particularly limited.

Also. In order to further improve the strength, the processing rate is more preferably 30% or more. As shown in FIG. 2, the above-described heating step S02, quenching step S03, and processing step S04 may be repeated. Here, the second and subsequent heating steps S02 aim at thorough solutionization, recrystallization structure, or softening for improving workability. Moreover, it is not an ingot but a processed material (copper material).
- Heat treatment step S05 Next, it is preferable to perform heat treatment on the workpiece obtained in the machining step S04 in order to perform low-temperature annealing hardening or to remove residual strain.
- This heat treatment condition is appropriately set according to the characteristics required for the product (copper alloy) to be produced.
- heat treatment conditions temperature, time, cooling rate
- the cooling rate is preferably 200 ° C./min or more.
- the heat treatment method is not particularly limited, but it is preferable to perform the heat treatment at 100 to 500 ° C. for 0.1 second to 24 hours in a non-oxidizing or reducing atmosphere.

- Mg is supersaturated
- the strength is improved by work hardening, and a relatively high strength can be obtained.
- Zn is further solid-dissolved in the copper alloy in which Mg is solid-dissolved, the strength can be improved without increasing the Young's modulus.

Various additive elements were added to the obtained copper melt to prepare the component composition shown in Table 1, and poured into a carbon mold to produce an ingot.

σ≦{1.7241/(X+Y+1.7)}×100
X=-0.0347×A2+0.6569×A
Y=-0.0041×B2+0.2503×B
σ≦{1.7241/(X+Y+1.7)}×100
X=-0.0347×A2+0.6569×A
Y=-0.0041×B2+0.2503×B

JBMA(日本伸銅協会技術標準)T307の3試験方法に準拠して曲げ加工を行った。
X=-0.0347×A2+0.6569×A
Y=-0.0041×B2+0.2503×B
