Description

光ヘッド、光記録装置、及び光ヘッドの固定方法
 この発明は、光ヘッド、光記録装置、及び光ヘッドの固定方法に関する。
 磁気記録方式では、記録密度が高くなると磁気ビットが外部温度等の影響を顕著に受けるようになる。このため高い保持力を有する記録媒体が必要になるが、そのような記録媒体を使用すると記録時に必要な磁場も大きくなる。記録ヘッドによって発生する磁場は飽和磁束密度によって上限が決まるが、その値は材料限界に近づいており飛躍的な増大は望めない。そこで、記録時に局所的に加熱して磁気軟化を生じさせて、保持力が小さくなった状態で記録し、その後、加熱を止めて自然冷却することにより、記録した磁気ビットの安定性を保証する記録方式が提案されている。この記録方式は熱アシスト磁気記録方式と呼ばれている。
 熱アシスト磁気記録方式では、記録媒体の加熱を瞬間的に行うことが望ましい。また、加熱する機構と記録媒体とが接触することは許されない。このため、加熱は光の吸収を利用して行われるのが一般的であり、加熱に光を用いる方式は光アシスト式と呼ばれている。光アシスト式で超高密度記録を行う場合、必要なスポット径は20nm程度になるが、通常の光学系では回折限界があるため、光をそこまで集光することはできない。
 そのため、入射光波長以下のサイズの光学的開口から発生する近接場光(近視野光と称する場合がある)を利用する光ヘッドが利用されている。この光ヘッドは、光源からの光を受けて近接場光を発生させて、光の回折限界よりも微小なディスク領域を加熱するスライダと、スライダに設けられて、光源からの光をスライダに導く光学素子(偏向プリズム)とを備えている。このような光ヘッドにおいては、光源から出射した光を光ファイバーによって光学素子(偏向プリズム)まで導光し、光ファイバーから出射した光を光学素子内部でスライダ側に反射させて、スライダに設けられた近接場光発生部に照射させる。そして、スライダに設けられた近接場光発生部によって近接場光を発生させ、光の回折限界よりも微小なディスク領域を加熱し、加熱されたディスク領域のみが磁気記録されるようになっている。
 また、光ヘッドが記録媒体に対して一定の相対位置で浮上するために、サスペンションの先端部にフレクシャー(板ばね)を設け、そのフレクシャーに光ヘッドを設けている。上記のように、光学素子(偏向プリズム)によって光源からの光をスライダに導く場合、スライダと光学素子(偏向プリズム)とを接着して一体化した状態で、サスペンションのフレクシャーに設置する。
 従来においては、スライダに光を反射する反射部を有する光学素子において、光ファイバーを固定するためのV字状の溝部(V溝部)を反射部に形成し、接着剤を用いて光ファイバーをV溝部に接着して固定していた。この従来技術に係る光ヘッドにおいては、光ファイバーをV溝部に接着するときに接着剤が流出して反射面に付着しないように、V溝部と交差する接着剤逃げ部を光学素子に設けて、余分な接着剤を接着剤逃げ部に逃がしていた(例えば特許文献1)。この従来技術に係る光ヘッドにおいては、V溝部が形成されている面とスライダとが接着している。さらに、接着剤逃げ部と嵌合する凸状の突起部をスライダに設けることで、光学素子とスライダとの接着面積を広くして、接着強度を高めて機械的強度を高めている。

 以上のように特許文献1には、スライダと光学素子との接着強度を高めるための構造が開示されているが、光ヘッドとフレクシャーとの固定については開示されていない。光アシスト方式に係る光ヘッドにおいては、スライダに光を導く光学素子が光ヘッドに加わるため、その光学素子の分、光ヘッドの重さが増加する。そのため、光ヘッドとフレクシャーとの接着強度を、光学素子が設置されていない光ヘッドよりも高める必要がある。さらに、光ヘッドの組み立て時に、光ファイバーの引き回しによる張力が光学素子とフレクシャーにかかったとしても、光学素子がフレクシャーから剥離しない程度の接着強度が要求される。
 この発明は上記の問題点を解決するものであり、フレクシャーとの接着強度を高めることが可能な光ヘッド、及びその光ヘッドを備えた光記録装置を提供することを目的とする。また、光ヘッドをフレクシャーに固定する光ヘッドの固定方法を提供することを目的とする。
 この発明の第1の態様は、光源から出射した光を記録媒体に照射するスライダと、前記スライダに設けられて前記光源から出射した光を前記スライダに導く光学素子と、を有し、ヘッド支持部に設けられたフレクシャーの舌片部が前記光学素子に接着されて、前記記録媒体の上を相対移動する光ヘッドであって、前記光学素子は、前記光源から出射した光を内部に入射させる入射面と、前記入射面によって入射させられた光を偏向して前記スライダに導く偏向面と、前記スライダに対向する面とは反対側の面に設けられ、前記フレクシャーの舌片部における前記光学素子と接着する面の面積よりも広い面積を有する接着剤溜め部と、を有することを特徴とする光ヘッドである。
 この発明の第2の態様は、記録媒体と、光源から出射した光を前記記録媒体に照射するスライダ、及び、前記スライダに設けられて前記光源から出射した光を前記スライダに導く光学素子を有する光ヘッドと、先端部に舌片部が設けられたフレクシャーを有するヘッド支持部と、を有し、前記フレクシャーの舌片部と前記光学素子とが接着剤によって接着されて、前記光ヘッドが前記ヘッド支持部によって支持されて前記記録媒体の上を相対移動する光記録装置であって、前記光学素子は、前記光源から出射した光を内部に入射させる入射面と、前記入射面によって入射させられた光を偏向して前記スライダに導く偏向面と、前記スライダに対向する面とは反対側の面に設けられ、前記フレクシャーの舌片部における前記光学素子と接着する面の面積よりも広い面積を有する接着剤溜め部と、を有し、前記フレクシャーの舌片部は、前記光学素子の前記接着剤溜め部に接着されていることを特徴とする光記録装置である。
 また、前記接着剤は光硬化性接着剤であることが好ましい。
 また、前記接着剤溜め部は窪み状の形状を有し、前記接着剤溜め部には、前記接着剤溜め部の深さよりも低い高さの突起部が設けられていることが好ましい。
 また、前記舌片部の一部に開口部が形成されていることが好ましい。そのことにより、光記録装置において、接着剤が開口部を介して、舌片部において光学素子と接着する面とは反対側の面に流出する。
 また、前記入射面又は前記偏向面のいずれか一方の面は、前記光源から出射した光を収束させる光学パワーを有することが好ましい。
 また、前記入射面は非球面であることが好ましい。
 また、前記偏向面は回転楕円面又は回転放物面であることが好ましい。
 また、前記光学素子は、前記光源から出射した光を前記入射面に導く導光体と、前記導光体を前記入射面が形成された面側に固定する固定部と、を更に有することが好ましい。
 また、前記光源から出射した光を前記入射面に入射させるレンズを更に有することが好ましい。
 この発明の第3の態様は、光源から出射した光を記録媒体に照射するスライダと、前記スライダに設けられて前記光源から出射した光を前記スライダに導く光学素子と、を有する光ヘッドを、先端部に舌片部が設けられたフレクシャーを有するヘッド支持部に固定する光ヘッドの固定方法であって、前記光学素子は、前記光源から出射した光を内部に入射させる入射面と、前記入射面によって入射させられた光を偏向して前記スライダに導く偏向面と、前記スライダに対向する面とは反対側の面に設けられ、前記フレクシャーの舌片部における前記光学素子と接触する面の面積よりも広い面積を有する接着剤溜め部と、を有し、前記接着剤溜め部に光硬化性接着剤を塗布する工程と、前記光硬化性接着剤が塗布された前記接着剤溜め部に、前記フレクシャーの舌片部を接触させる工程と、前記光硬化性接着剤に光を照射することで前記光硬化性接着剤を硬化させる工程と、を含むことを特徴とする光ヘッドの固定方法である。
 この発明によると、フレクシャーの舌片部における光学素子と接する面の面積よりも、広い面積を有する接着剤溜め部を光学素子に設けている。そのことにより、接着剤溜め部の全面に接着剤を塗布し、フレクシャーの舌片部をこの接着剤溜め部に押し付けることで、舌片部の周辺部に接着剤が被さる。その結果、舌片部と接着剤溜め部との間の面接着に加えて、舌片部の周辺部が接着剤で挟み込まれた状態で接着して固定されるため、光ヘッドとフレクシャーとをより強固に接着することが可能となる。

 (光記録装置の概略構成)
 図1に、光アシスト式磁気記録ヘッドを搭載した光記録装置(例えばハードディスク装置)の概略構成を示す。光記録装置1は、記録用の複数枚の回転可能なディスク(磁気記録媒体)2と、ヘッド支持部4と、トラッキング用アクチュエータ6と、光アシスト式磁気ヘッド3(以下、「光ヘッド3」と称する)と、図示しない駆動装置と、を筐体1A内に備えている。ヘッド支持部4は、支軸5を支点として矢印Aの方向(トラッキング方向)に回転可能に設けられている。トラッキング用アクチュエータ6は、ヘッド支持部4に取り付けられている。光ヘッド3は、ヘッド支持部4の先端に取り付けられている。図示しない駆動装置は、ディスク2を矢印Bの方向に回転させる。この光記録装置1は、光ヘッド3がディスク2の上で浮上しながら相対的に移動しうるように構成されている。
 [第1実施形態]
 第1実施形態に係る光ヘッド3について図2から図7を参照して説明する。図2に、第1実施形態に係る光ヘッド3及びヘッド支持部4の分解斜視図を示す。光ヘッド3は、ディスク2に対する情報記録に光を利用する光ヘッドであって、光学素子31とスライダ32とを備えている。ヘッド支持部4は、サスペンションアーム41とフレクシャー(板ばね)44とを備えている。サスペンションアーム41とフレクシャー44とは、溶接などによって固定されている。
 サスペンションアーム41の先端部には1例として矩形状の開口部42が形成されている。この開口部42の一辺には、開口部42の内側に向かって突出するピボット(突出部)43が設けられている。フレクシャー44の先端部には1例として矩形状の開口部45が形成されている。この開口部45の一辺には、平坦な面を有する舌片部46が設けられている。この舌片部46は開口部45の内側に向かって突出し、さらに、フレクシャー44の板状の面に直交する方向に折り曲げられて突出している。
 図2及び図3に示すように、光学素子31には、スライダ32と接する面(下面31b)とは反対側の面(上面31a)に、窪んだ形状を有する接着剤溜め部31gが形成されている。この接着剤溜め部31gに、接着剤を介してフレクシャー44の舌片部46が接着される。この接着剤溜め部31gの面積は、舌片部46において接着剤溜め部31gと接触する面の面積よりも広い。また、サスペンションアーム41に設けられたピボット43が舌片部46の中央付近に当接するように、開口部42とピボット43とがサスペンションアーム41に設けられている。そして、ピボット43が舌片部46の中央付近に当接して、舌片部46を光学素子31の方向に押し当てる。
 次に、光学素子31について図3から図6を参照して説明する。図4は図3のIV-IV断面図であり、図5は図3のV-V断面図である。図3から図6に示すように、光学素子31には、スライダ32に接する下面31bとは反対側の上面31aに、窪み状の接着剤溜め部31gが形成されている。また、図4から図6に示すように、光学素子31には、スライダ32に接する下面31b側に窪み31cが形成されている。この窪み31cは、スライダ32に接する下面31b側が開口し、閉じられている側に入射面31eが形成されている。窪み31cには、図示しない光源から光を導光する線状導光体である光ファイバー300を固定する固定部31dが形成されている。固定部31dは例えばV字状の溝部であり、この溝部に光ファイバー300が接着して固定されている。入射面31eは、光軸に対して回転対称な非球面であり正の光学パワーを有している。入射面31eは、光ファイバー300から出射した光を光学素子31の内部に入射させる。光学素子31の上面31aの一部が傾斜しており、その傾斜した面が偏向面31fである。入射面31eから入射した光は、偏向面31fに到達する。この偏向面31fは平面であり、入射面31eによって入射させられた光を反射してスライダ32に設けられた光導波路32aに導く。
 図6に示すように、スライダ32は、光導波路32aと、磁気記録部32bと、磁気再生部32cとを備えている。光導波路32aは、光学素子31の入射面31e及び偏向面31fによって形成された光スポットを導光してディスク2に向かって射出する。磁気記録部32bは、ディスク2の被記録部分に対して磁気情報の書き込みを行う。磁気再生部32cは、ディスク2に記録されている磁気情報の読み取りを行う。なお、図6では、ディスク2の記録領域の進入側から退出側(図6中の矢印の方向)にかけて、磁気再生部32c、光導波路32a、磁気記録部32bの順に配置されているが、配置順はこの順番に限られない。光導波路32aの退出側直後に磁気記録部32bが位置すれば良いので、例えば、光導波路32a、磁気記録部32b、磁気再生部32cの順に配置しても良い。
 光学素子31は、光学的に透明な樹脂やガラスを材料として構成されている。光学素子31は、射出成形やインプリント製法やガラスモールド法などによって作製される。射出成形用の樹脂としては、熱可塑性樹脂であるポリカーボネイト(例えば、AD5503 帝人化成株式会社)や、ZEONEX 480R(日本ゼオン株式会社)などが挙げられる。また、インプリント製法用の樹脂としては、光硬化性樹脂であるPAK-02(東洋合成工業株式会社)などが挙げられる。
 次に、光学素子31とフレクシャー44との固定方法について図6及び図7を参照して説明する。図7に、光学素子31及び舌片部46の斜視図と、接着剤溜め部31g近傍の拡大断面図とを示す。図6及び図7に示すように、光学素子31の接着剤溜め部31gに接着剤50を塗布し、接着剤溜め部31gに舌片部46を押し付ける。この接着剤50には、紫外線硬化性接着剤などの光硬化性接着剤が用いられる。図7の拡大断面図に示すように、硬化前の接着剤50は流動性を有しているため、接着剤溜め部31gの周辺から、舌片部46において接着剤溜め部31gに対向する面とは反対側の面に流れ込む。図7において、接着剤50は舌片部46の上面に流れ込む。この状態で紫外線を接着剤50に照射することで、接着剤50を硬化させる。光学素子31は光学的に透明であり、紫外線も透過させるため、光学素子31の側面からも紫外線が接着剤50に向かって照射させる。そのことにより、フレクシャー44と光学素子31の接着剤溜め部31gとの間にある接着剤50にも十分な紫外線が照射され、フレクシャー44の陰になっている部分も接着して固定することができる。このように、光学素子31を介して接着面に紫外線を照射して、接着剤50を硬化させることができるため、短時間で接着して固定することが可能となる。光アシスト方式ではない従来の磁気ヘッドにおいては、スライダとフレクシャーとの接着には熱硬化性接着剤が主に使用される。熱硬化性接着剤は、高温炉内において長時間(例えば120℃、45分)かけて硬化させる必要があるため、光ヘッドの製造時間が長くなってしまう。これに対して、この実施形態に係る光ヘッド3においては、光学素子31に樹脂を用いて、接着剤50には紫外線硬化性接着剤を用いているため、接着に要する時間を短縮することが可能となる。
 以上のように、光学素子31及びスライダ32を備えた光ヘッド3に光ファイバー300を一体化させたヘッド部は、光学素子31に形成された接着剤溜め部31gに接着して固定されたフレクシャー44によってサスペンションアーム41に保持される。
 また、スライダ32のディスク2と対向する面には、浮上特性向上のための空気ベアリング面(ABS(Air Bearing Surface)面とも称する)を有している。スライダ32の浮上はディスク2に近傍した状態で安定させる必要があり、スライダ32に浮上力を抑える圧力を適宜加える必要がある。このため、光学素子31の上に固定されるヘッド支持部4は、光ヘッド3のトラッキングを行う機能の他に、スライダ32の浮上力を抑える力を適宜加える機能を有している。サスペンションアーム41に形成されたピボット43とフレクシャー44のばね効果とによって光ヘッド3に圧力を加えることで、スライダ32のディスク2と対向する面に設けられた図示しない空気ベアリング面が受ける空気の浮上力とバランスが取れ、スライダ32とディスク2とは数十nmの浮上量を保つことができる。このようにスライダ32とディスク2との間の距離が非常に狭いため、表面にしか存在しない近接場光であっても、ディスク2を加熱することができる。
 スライダ32は、浮上しながら磁気記録媒体であるディスク2に対して相対的に移動するが、媒体に付着したごみや媒体に欠陥がある場合には、ディスク2と接触する可能性がある。その場合に発生する摩擦を低減するために、スライダ32の材質には耐摩擦性の高い硬質の材料を用いることが望ましい。例えば、Alを含むセラミック材料、AlTiCやジリコニア、TiNなどを用いれば良い。また、摩擦防止処理として、スライダ32のディスク2側の面に耐摩擦性を増すために表面処理を行っても良い。例えば、DLC(Diamond Like Carbon)被膜を用いると、近赤外光の透過率も高く、ダイヤモンドに次ぐHv=3000以上の硬度が得られる。
 以上の構成を有する光ヘッド3の作用について図6を参照して説明する。図示しない光源から出射した光は、光ファイバー300によって光学素子31まで導かれる。光ファイバー300により導光される光は、例えば、半導体レーザーにより出射される光である。この光の波長は1.2μm以上の近赤外波長(近赤外帯域としては、0.8μmから2μm程度であり、具体的な波長としては、830nm、1310nm、1550nmなどが挙げられる)が好ましい。
 光ファイバー300の射出端面から出射した光は、広がりながら入射面31eに達し、光学素子31の内部に進入する。入射面31eは非球面である正の光学パワーを有しているため、光ファイバー300から出射した光は入射面31eによって収束光に変換されて偏向面31fに達する。偏向面31fに達した光は偏向面31fによって反射されて、スライダ32が取り付けられている方向に偏向される。偏向面31fによって反射された光は、スライダ32が備えている光導波路32aの入射端面に垂直に入射し、光スポットを形成して結合する。形成された光スポットは、ディスク2に向かってスライダ32の光導波路32aを導波されて、スライダ32の底面に設けられた図示しない近接場発生部を照射する。近接場発生部によって近接場光がディスク2に向かって発生する。光導波路32aに入射する光束の光軸は、光導波路32aの入射端面に対して垂直であることが光結合効率の観点から好ましい。光ヘッド3から出射した光が微小な光スポットとしてディスク2に照射されると、ディスク2の照射された領域の温度が一時的に上昇してディスク2の保持力が低下する。保持力が低下した領域が磁気記録部32bに達すると、磁気記録部32bに設置された図示しないコイルにより発生させられた磁場によって、保持力が低下した領域に情報が記録される。保持力が低下した領域が磁気記録部32bを通過すると、この領域は自然冷却されて、記録された磁気ビットの磁化が安定して保持される。また、磁気再生部32cが、記録された磁化の方向を検出することで情報の再生を行う。
 以上のように、この実施形態に係る光学素子31においては、光学素子31の上面31a(フレクシャー44に接着する面)に、フレクシャー44の舌片部46の面積よりも広い面積を有する接着剤溜め部31gを設けている。そのことにより、接着剤溜め部31gの全面に接着剤50を塗布し、フレクシャー44の舌片部46をこの接着剤溜め部31gに押し付けることで、図7の拡大断面図に示すように、舌片部46の周辺部に接着剤50が被さる。その結果、舌片部46と接着剤溜め部31gとの間の面接着に加えて、舌片部46の周辺部が接着剤50で挟み込まれた状態で接着して固定されるため、より強固な接着が可能となる。そのため、光ヘッド3とフレクシャー44との剥離が発生しにくい信頼性の高い光ヘッド3を実現することができる。
 また、入射面31eを非球面にして光学パワーを持たせて、光源から出射した光をスライダ32の光導波路32aに集光させているため、屈折率分布型レンズ(GRINレンズ)などのレンズ付きファイバーを設置する必要がない。このようなレンズ付きファイバーなどの光学部品は高価であり、そのような光学部品の設置が不要になるため、光ヘッド3の製造コストを抑制することが可能となる。
 (変形例1)
 次に、変形例1について図8を参照して説明する。上述したように、舌片部46を接着剤溜め部31gに押し当てることで、舌片部46の周辺部に接着剤50が被さる。また、サスペンションアーム41に設けられたピボット43は、フレクシャー44に設けられた舌片部46の中央付近に当接して、舌片部46を光学素子31の方向に押し当てる。従って、ピボット43から舌片部46に均一に力が加わるように、舌片部46において、ピボット43が当接する領域は平坦であることが好ましい。また、舌片部46が当接する領域には接着剤が流入しないことが好ましい。
 そこで図8(a)に示すように、舌片部46においてピボット43が当接する領域(例えば中央付近)に突起部47を設ける。すなわち、ピボット43が当接する領域の高さを、当接する領域の周辺領域の高さよりも高くする。そのことにより、接着剤50が舌片部46の周辺から内側に流れ込んでも、ピボット43が当接する領域には接着剤50が流れ込まないため、ピボット43が当接する領域を平坦に保つことができる。そして、ピボット43が突起部47に当接することで、舌片部46を光学素子31の方向に押し当てる。
 また、接着剤50が、ピボット43が当接する領域まで流れ込まないように、舌片部46の周辺部に段差部を設けても良い。この段差部を図8(b)、(c)に示す。図8(b)は舌片部46の斜視図であり、図8(c)は舌片部46のA-A断面図である。例えば、舌片部46の縁部46aから所定距離内側の位置に、所定の高さを有する段差部48を設ける。すなわち、舌片部46においてピボット43が当接する中央付近を含む領域46bを囲むように、段差部48を設ける。1例として、舌片部46の周辺部を内側に折り曲げることで、縁部46aから所定距離内側の位置に段差部48を形成する。そして、接着剤溜め部31gに接着剤50を塗布し、フレクシャー44の舌片部46を接着剤溜め部31gに押し付けることで、舌片部46の周辺部に接着剤50が被さる。この変形例では、舌片部46の縁部46aから所定距離内側の位置に段差部48を設けているため、舌片部46の周辺部に乗り上がった接着剤50は、舌片部46の周辺部からピボット43が当接する領域46bまで流れ込まない。その結果、ピボット43が当接する領域を平坦に保つことができる。
 (変形例2)
 次に、上述した第1実施形態に係る光学素子の変形例2について、図9を参照して説明する。上述した実施形態においては、図示しない光源からの光を光ファイバー300によって光学素子31まで導いているが、光ファイバーを用いなくても良い。例えば変形例2に係る光学素子31のように、レーザーダイオード(LD)などの光源310を、光学素子31に形成された窪み31cの内部に設けても良い。また、光源310を光学素子31に直接設ける場合には、図9に示すように、光源310にて発生した熱を放熱するための放熱板320を設けても良い。この場合、放熱板320を介して光源310を光学素子31の内部に設ける。放熱板320には、例えば銅やアルミニウムなどの金属を用いることが好ましい。なお、変形例2に係る光学素子31は、光ファイバー300の代わりに光源310を直接設ける構成とし、光源以外の構成は上述した第1実施形態に係る光学素子31と同じである。
 光源310から出射した光は、上述した第1実施形態と同様に、光学素子31の入射面31eから光学素子31の内部に進入する。そして、光学素子31の偏向面31fによって偏向されて、収束光となってスライダ32が備えている光導波路32aの入射端面に垂直に入射し、光スポットを形成して結合する。
 (変形例3)
 次に、上述した第1実施形態に係る光学素子の変形例3について、図10を参照して説明する。変形例3においても光ファイバーを用いずに、光源からの光を光学素子31まで導く。例えば、光源部60を、サスペンションアーム41においてフレクシャー44が設置されている先端とは反対側に設置された支持アーム41aに設ける。光源部60は、光源61とレンズ62とを備えている。光源61には、レーザーダイオード(LD)などが用いられる。レンズ62は、光源61から出射した光を所定の倍率で集光させて、光学素子31の入射面31eに光を入射させる。このように変形例3においては、光ファイバーなどを用いずに、光源61から出射した光をレンズ62によって光学素子31の入射面31eに照射する。変形例3に係る光学素子31における光源以外の構成は、第1実施形態に係る光学素子31と同じである。
 [第2実施形態]
 次に、第2実施形態に係る光ヘッドについて図11から図14を参照して説明する。第2実施形態に係る光ヘッドにおいては、第1実施形態に係る光学素子31の代わりに光学素子33を用いる。図11に示すように、光学素子33の上面31aに形成された接着剤溜め部31gに、上面31aに直交する方向に突出する凸状の突起部31hを複数設ける。なお、接着剤溜め部31gに設けられた突起部31h以外の構成は、第1実施形態に係る光学素子31と同じであるため、共通する部分の構成については説明を省略する。
 図12及び図13の断面図に示すように、突起部31hの高さh(上面31aに直交する方向への長さ)は、接着剤溜め部31gの深さdよりも低い。従って図14の拡大断面図に示すように、接着剤溜め部31gに接着剤50を塗布し、フレクシャー44の舌片部46を接着剤溜め部31gに押し付けた場合であっても、舌片部46と接着剤溜め部31gの底面との間には、厚さhの接着剤層が確保される。また、第1実施形態に係る光学素子31と同様に、舌片部46の周辺部に接着剤50が被さる。このように、舌片部46と接着剤溜め部31gの底面との間に接着剤50が介在し、さらに、舌片部46の周辺部に接着剤50が被さっているため、より強固な面接着が可能となる。また、複数の突起部31hを接着剤溜め部31gに設けているため、舌片部46と接着剤溜め部31gとの接着面積がさらに広がり、接着強度を更に高めることが可能となる。また、ピボット43がフレクシャー44の舌片部46を押す力がばらついても、所定の厚さの接着剤層が確保されているため、強固に接着して固定することが可能となる。
 なお、第2実施形態においては、円柱状の突起部31hを接着剤溜め部31gに設けたが、その他の形状、例えば角柱状の突起部を設けても良い。
 第2実施形態に係る光学素子の別の例を図15から図17にそれぞれ示す。図15に示す光学素子34のように、円柱状の突起部31hの代わりに、光学素子34の短手方向に延びる複数の直線状の突起部31kを接着剤溜め部31gに設けても良い。また、図16に示す光学素子35のように、光学素子35の長手方向に延びる複数の突起部31mを接着剤溜め部31gに設けても良い。なお、光学素子34に形成された突起部31kと、光学素子35に形成された突起部31mとは互いに直交する方向に延びる直線状の突起部である。また、図17に示す光学素子36のように、互いに異なる方向に延びる直線状の突起部からなる格子状の突起部31nを接着剤溜め部31gに設けても良い。なお、突起部31k、突起部31m、及び突起部31nの高さhは、接着剤溜め部31gの深さdよりも低い。このように、接着剤溜め部31gに段差を設けることで、舌片部46と接着剤溜め部31gの底面との間に、厚さhの接着剤層が確保されて、舌片部46と光学素子とをより強固に接着して固定することが可能となる。
 [第3実施形態]
 次に、第3実施形態に係る光ヘッド及びフレクシャーについて、図18及び図19を参照して説明する。第3実施形態においては、フレクシャー44の舌片部46の中央付近に開口部49を形成する。例えば、円形状の開口部49を舌片部46の中央付近に形成する。なお、舌片部46の中央付近に形成された開口部49以外の構成は、第1実施形態に係る光学素子31と同じであるため、共通する部分の構成については説明を省略する。
 そして図19に示すように、接着剤50が塗布された接着剤溜め部31gに、開口部49が形成された舌片部46を押し付ける。図19の拡大断面図に示すように、舌片部46を押し付けることで、接着剤50が舌片部46の開口部49を介して舌片部46の上面(接着剤溜め部31gと対向する面とは反対側の面)に流出する。接着剤51が、舌片部46の上面に流出した接着剤である。この状態で紫外線を照射して接着剤50、51を硬化させることで、舌片部46の開口部49がリベット状に固定される。そのことにより、舌片部46の周辺部に被さっている接着剤と合わせて、フレクシャー44と光学素子31とをより強度に接着して固定することが可能となる。
 なお、第3実施形態においては舌片部46の中央部に1つの開口部49を形成したが、複数の開口部を舌片部46に形成しても良い。
 [第4実施形態]
 次に、第4実施形態に係る光ヘッドについて図20及び図21を参照して説明する。上述した第1実施形態に係る光学素子31においては、入射面31eを非球面として光学パワーを持たせ、偏向面31fを平面としている。第4実施形態に係る光学素子37においては、図20の斜視図及び図21の断面図に示すように、入射面31qを平面とし、偏向面31rを回転楕円面、回転放物面又はこれに類する面形状として光学パワーを持たせる。また、図20及び図21に示すように、光学素子37の上面31aには、光ファイバー300を固定する固定部31pが形成されている。固定部31pは例えばV字状の溝部であり、この溝部に光ファイバー300が接着して固定されている。図21に示すように、光ファイバー300の先端部を入射面31qに接合させる。なお、入射面31q、偏向面31r、及び固定部31p以外の構成は、第1実施形態に係る光学素子31と同じであるため、共通する部分の構成については説明を省略する。
 光ファイバー300を出射した光は、入射面31qから光学素子37の内部に進入して偏向面31rに達する。偏向面31rに達した光は偏向面31rによって、スライダ32が取り付けられている方向に偏向される。偏向面31rは回転楕円面、回転放物面又はそれに類する面形状を有しているため、光は偏向面31rによって収束光に変換されてスライダ32に達する。そして、偏向面31rによって偏向された光束は、スライダ32が備えている光導波路32aの入射端面に垂直に入射し、光スポットを形成して結合する。
 このように、偏向面31rを回転楕円面、回転放物面又はそれに類する形状の面にして、入射面31qの代わりに偏向面31rに光学パワーを持たせても、第1実施形態に係る光学素子31と同様に、高価なレンズ付きファイバーを設置する必要がない。そのため、光ヘッド3の製造コストを抑制することが可能となる。なお、入射面を球面又は非球面にして光学パワーを持たせ、偏向面を回転楕円面、回転放物面又はそれに類する形状の面にして光学パワーを持たせても良い。このように入射面と偏向面とに、それぞれ光学パワーを分散して持たせても良い。
 なお、第4実施形態に係る光学素子の別の例を図22に示す。図22に示す光学素子38のように、上面31aに形成された接着剤溜め部31gに、高さhの突起部31hを複数設けても良い。
 また、第4実施形態に係る光ヘッドにおいても、第1実施形態に係る変形例2及び変形例3と同様に、レーザーダイオードなどの光源を光学素子37、38に搭載しても良いし、レンズを介して光を入射面31qに導いても良い。
 なお、第4実施形態に係る光学素子37、38においては、接着剤溜め部31g、偏向面31r、及び、V字状の溝部である固定部31pが、スライダ32に対向する面とは反対側の面に形成されているため、インプリント法によって光学素子37、38の形状を容易に成形することができる。第4実施形態に係る光学素子37、38のように、接着剤溜め部31g、偏向面31r、及び固定部31pが一方の面に形成されているため、射出成形やガラスモールド法とは異なり、インプリント法によると上型の金型のみで光学素子37、38を作製することができる。その結果、光学素子の製造コストを抑制することが可能となる。
 [光学素子の製造方法]
 次に、光学素子の製造方法について図23を参照して説明する。製造方法の1例として、インプリント法によって第4実施形態に係る光学素子37を製造する方法について説明する。
 まず、図23(a)に示すように、平板状の透明基板70を用意する。透明基板70としては、例えばガラス製のABC(日本電気硝子製)が挙げられる。次に、図23(b)に示すように、樹脂塗布装置100を用いて透明基板70の一方の表面に所定量の紫外線硬化樹脂101を滴下する。図23(c)に、透明基板70の表面に所定量の紫外線硬化樹脂102が塗布された状態を示す。次に、図23(d)に示すように、金型昇降装置110を用いて、紫外線硬化樹脂102の上方から金型111を透明基板70側に降下させる。金型111には、接着剤溜め部31g、V字状の溝部である固定部31p、及び偏向面31rの形状を転写するための空間112が形成されている。そして、図23(e)に示すように、金型111を紫外線硬化樹脂102に押し当てて、透明基板70に対して金型111が所定の位置に設置されるように、金型111の位置合わせを行う。そして、図23(f)に示すように、ガラス製の透明基板70の方向から紫外線を紫外線硬化樹脂102に照射することで、紫外線硬化樹脂102を硬化させる。図23(g)及び図23(h)に示すように、紫外線硬化樹脂102を硬化させた後、金型111を上昇させる。これにより、透明基板70の一方の面に光学素子37が形成される。そして、図23(i)に示すように、透明基板70から光学素子37を剥離することで、光学素子37を取り出す。
 また、上述した光学素子の製造方法においては、インプリント方式によって光学素子を製造したが、射出成型法やガラスモールド方式によって光学素子を製造しても良い。

  1.  光源から出射した光を記録媒体に照射するスライダと、前記スライダに設けられて前記光源から出射した光を前記スライダに導く光学素子と、を有し、ヘッド支持部に設けられたフレクシャーの舌片部が前記光学素子に接着されて、前記記録媒体の上を相対移動する光ヘッドであって、
     前記光学素子は、
     前記光源から出射した光を内部に入射させる入射面と、
     前記入射面によって入射させられた光を偏向して前記スライダに導く偏向面と、
     前記スライダに対向する面とは反対側の面に設けられ、前記フレクシャーの舌片部における前記光学素子と接着する面の面積よりも広い面積を有する接着剤溜め部と、
     を有することを特徴とする光ヘッド。
  2.  前記接着剤溜め部は窪み状の形状を有し、
     前記接着剤溜め部には、前記接着剤溜め部の深さよりも低い高さの突起部が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項1に記載の光ヘッド。

     前記フレクシャーの舌片部と前記光学素子とが接着剤によって接着されて、前記光ヘッドが前記ヘッド支持部によって支持されて前記記録媒体の上を相対移動する光記録装置であって、
     前記光学素子は、
     前記光源から出射した光を内部に入射させる入射面と、
     前記入射面によって入射させられた光を偏向して前記スライダに導く偏向面と、
     前記スライダに対向する面とは反対側の面に設けられ、前記フレクシャーの舌片部における前記光学素子と接着する面の面積よりも広い面積を有する接着剤溜め部と、
     を有し、
     前記フレクシャーの舌片部は、前記光学素子の前記接着剤溜め部に接着されていることを特徴とする光記録装置。
  10.  前記接着剤は光硬化性接着剤であることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の光記録装置。
  11.  前記接着剤溜め部は窪み状の形状を有し、
     前記接着剤溜め部には、前記接着剤溜め部の深さよりも低い高さの突起部が設けられていることを特徴とする請求項9又は請求項10のいずれかに記載の光記録装置。
  12.  前記舌片部の一部に開口部が形成されており、
     前記接着剤が前記開口部を介して、前記舌片部において前記光学素子と接着する面とは反対側の面に流出していることを特徴とする請求項9から請求項11のいずれかに記載の光記録装置。
  13.  前記入射面又は前記偏向面のいずれか一方の面は、前記光源から出射した光を収束させる光学パワーを有することを特徴とする請求項9から請求項12のいずれかに記載の光記録装置。
  14.  前記入射面は非球面であることを特徴とする請求項9から請求項12のいずれかに記載の光記録装置。
  15.  前記偏向面は回転楕円面又は回転放物面であることを特徴とする請求項9から請求項12のいずれかに記載の光記録装置。
  16.  前記光学素子は、
     前記光源から出射した光を前記入射面に導く導光体と、
     前記導光体を前記入射面に形成された面側に固定する固定部と、
     を更に有することを特徴とする請求項9から請求項15のいずれかに記載の光ヘッド。
  17.  前記光源から出射した光を前記入射面に入射させるレンズを更に有することを特徴とする請求項9から請求項15のいずれかに記載の光記録装置。
  18.  光源から出射した光を記録媒体に照射するスライダと、前記スライダに設けられて前記光源から出射した光を前記スライダに導く光学素子と、を有する光ヘッドを、先端部に舌片部が設けられたフレクシャーを有するヘッド支持部に固定する光ヘッドの固定方法であって、
     前記光学素子は、
     前記光源から出射した光を内部に入射させる入射面と、
     前記入射面によって入射させられた光を偏向して前記スライダに導く偏向面と、
     前記スライダに対向する面とは反対側の面に設けられ、前記フレクシャーの舌片部における前記光学素子と接触する面の面積よりも広い面積を有する接着剤溜め部と、を有し、
     前記接着剤溜め部に光硬化性接着剤を塗布する工程と、
     前記光硬化性接着剤が塗布された前記接着剤溜め部に、前記フレクシャーの舌片部を接触させる工程と、
     前記光硬化性接着剤に光を照射することで前記光硬化性接着剤を硬化させる工程と、
     を含むことを特徴とする光ヘッドの固定方法。
