Abstract

본 발명은 우수한 용량 특성 및 사이클 수명 특성을 나타내는 리튬 이차 전지용 음극 활물질 및 이의 제조 방법과, 상기 음극 활물질을 이용한 리튬 이차 전지에 관한 것으로, 상기 리튬 이차 전지용 음극 활물질은 나노 스케일의 두께를 갖는 외벽으로 정의되는 관 형태를 띄고 있는 나노 튜브를 포함하되, 상기 나노 튜브의 외벽은 실리콘, 게르마늄 및 안티몬으로 이루어진 군에서 선택되는 1종 이상의 비탄소계 물질을 포함하고, 상기 나노 튜브의 외벽 상에 5nm 이하의 두께를 갖는 무정형 탄소층이 형성되어 있는 것이다.
