Definitions
- the present invention relates to a display device and a television receiver.
- a liquid crystal panel used in a liquid crystal display device such as a liquid crystal television does not emit light, and thus requires a backlight as a separate lighting device.
- the backlight includes a chassis that houses a plurality of cold-cathode tubes and a frame for positioning an optical member in the chassis. It has the structure hold
- this television receiver is comprised so that this liquid crystal display device may be pinched
- a liquid crystal panel and a backlight are separately manufactured, and the liquid crystal display device is manufactured by assembling them together using a bezel or the like.
- a television receiver is manufactured by sandwiching between a pair of cabinets.
- the present invention has been made in view of the above problems, and can be provided as a final product such as a television receiver only by assembling a display panel and a backlight, and while ensuring a wide effective display area,
- An object of the present invention is to provide a display device that is excellent in workability when the display panel is assembled to a backlight. It is another object of the present invention to provide a television receiver provided with such a display device.
- a display device includes a light source, a substrate on which the light source is mounted, a display panel that performs display using light from the light source, and the display panel.
- the first cabinet and the second cabinet constitute an outer box constituting the appearance of the display device, and the reflection sheet is disposed on the inner surface of the second cabinet in a state of being supported by the substrate.
- the display panel is attached to the first cabinet and the light source is attached to the second cabinet, the display function of the display panel using the light from the light source is realized by engaging each cabinet. Can be possible.
- the first cabinet and the second cabinet constitute an outer box that forms the appearance of the display device, the display device can be used as a final device such as a television receiver only by engaging the first cabinet and the second cabinet. It can be used as a product.
- the mounting member such as a bezel
- the material cost can be reduced.
- the number of assembling steps is reduced as compared with the case of providing a final product such as a television receiver by housing this in a separate cabinet after assembling the panel and backlight as in the prior art, In this respect as well, cost reduction can be realized.
- the alignment between the display panel and the backlight is realized by assembling the first cabinet and the second cabinet, the workability is improved, and it is necessary to secure an alignment area in the display panel. Disappear. Therefore, alignment can be easily performed without causing a situation where the effective display area of the display panel becomes small.
- the second cabinet is for mounting components such as a substrate, irregularities (for example, holes for component mounting and wall portions for component positioning) are easily formed. If a reflection sheet is attached to the surface on which the unevenness is formed, the reflection sheet may be bent or floated, resulting in uneven brightness. Therefore, in the present invention, the reflection sheet is supported on the substrate as described above. This is because if the substrate has a plate shape, there is almost no unevenness on the surface, and it is possible to suppress the occurrence of bending and floating when the reflective sheet is supported. Further, there is no need to provide a dedicated member for supporting the reflection sheet, and cost reduction can also be realized in this respect.

In the case of the configuration including the substrate support portion as described above, the bottom surface is uneven.
- the reflection sheet since it is set as the structure which supports a reflective sheet on a board
- the substrate may be arranged over at least the entire bottom surface of the second cabinet in plan view. Since the substrate is arranged over the entire bottom surface, the reflective sheet is supported by the substrate at a location corresponding to substantially the entire bottom surface. As a result of increasing the number of places that support the reflection sheet, it is possible to more effectively suppress the occurrence of deflection and floating of the reflection sheet.

- the heat generated when power is supplied to the light source can be radiated from the wiring.
- the wiring is arranged on both sides of the substrate (the surface facing the second cabinet and the surface facing the reflection sheet), heat can be radiated more effectively than the configuration arranged only on one side.
- a liquid crystal panel can be exemplified as the display panel.
- Such a display device can be applied as a liquid crystal display device to various uses, for example, a desktop screen of a television or a personal computer, and is particularly suitable as an ultra-thin television receiver.
- the invention's effect it is possible to provide a final product such as a television receiver simply by assembling the first cabinet and the second cabinet, and when the panel is assembled to the backlight while ensuring a wide effective display area. It is possible to provide a display device having excellent workability. In addition, it is possible to provide a television receiver configured with such a display device.

- the assembly of the first cabinet Ca is performed as follows. First, the liquid crystal panel 11 is attached to the first cabinet Ca. That is, the separately manufactured liquid crystal panel 11 is attached to the claw portion 13 of the first cabinet Ca, but here, as shown in FIG. 6, from the back side of the first cabinet Ca to the inclined surface 13 a of the claw portion 13. On the other hand, by pushing the liquid crystal panel 11 (arrow direction), the claw portion 13 is elastically deformed in the direction of expanding (outside) and is accommodated between the locking surface 13b and the elastic member 16. When the liquid crystal panel 11 is accommodated between the locking surface 13b and the elastic member 16, the claw portion 13 is elastically restored, thereby preventing the liquid crystal panel 11 from falling off between the locking surface 13b and the elastic member 16. Or suppressed. Thereby, the assembly of the first cabinet Ca is completed.
- the assembly of the second cabinet Cb is performed as follows. First, the circuit board 80 is attached to the bottom surface 30 of the second cabinet Cb. Next, each LED board 51 (light source unit 50) is fitted into the board mounting groove 42A of each board support part 42, respectively. Next, the peripheral portion of the reflection sheet 60 is placed on the sheet clamping portion 33, and the bottom portion 60 ⁇ / b> A of the reflection sheet 60 is placed on the surface 51 ⁇ / b> D of each LED substrate 51. Thereby, the bottom portion 60 ⁇ / b> A of the reflection sheet 60 is supported by the plurality of LED substrates 51.

Abstract
