Abstract

本発明の表示装置(10)は、表示パネル(11)と、前記表示パネル(11)に光を供給するバックライト装置(12)と、を備えた表示装置であって、前記バックライト装置(12)は、光源(17)と、前記光源(17)の光出射側とは反対側に配設された光反射部材(20)とを有し、前記光源(17)は、その周囲の温度である周囲温度がT1のときに発光効率が最大となるものとされ、前記光反射部材(20)は、前記光源(17)の周囲温度がT1である部位の直下で光反射率が最小とされ、この周囲温度がT1となる部位の直下から当該光反射部材(20)の端部に向けて光反射率が大きくなる。
