- the entire inner peripheral surface of the holder 14 does not hold the entire outer peripheral surface of the shaft 13, but only the convex portion 19 contacts the outer peripheral surface of the shaft 13. Since it has a structure, the operation force when rotating the display 3 is small, and it does not feel heavy when operated, and is excellent in operation feeling. Further, at the closed position and the predetermined open position of the display 3, the convex portion 19 is engaged with the engagement surfaces 20, 21, and 22 that are flat surfaces, so that a strong holding force is obtained. Furthermore, since the number of parts is small and the structure is simple, the number of assembly steps is simplified, the productivity is increased, and the cost is reduced. Since the long engagement surfaces 20, 21, 22 are provided on the shaft 13 side with respect to the local convex portion 19 on the holder 14 side, delicate alignment in the shaft axial direction of both is not required. Assembly is easy.
- FIG. 5A, 5B, and 5C show a perspective appearance, a side surface, and a plane of the hinge mechanism 31 of the display device according to the second embodiment.
- the convex portion provided on the holder 14 is a rib-shaped convex portion 32 extending over the entire length of the holder 14.
- the rib-like convex portion 32 is formed by plastic processing such as pressing. Similar to FIG. 4, the 0-degree engaging surface 20, the 120-degree engaging surface 21, and the 90-degree engaging surface 22 are provided on the shaft 13 side as in FIG. 4.
- the display 3 is opened and closed, and the 0-degree engagement surface 20, the 120-degree engagement surface 21, and the 90-degree engagement surface 22 of the shaft 13 are brought into contact with the rib-shaped convex portion 32 on the holder 14 side.
- the display 3 is positioned and held at each position.
- the entire inner peripheral surface of the holder 14 does not hold the entire outer peripheral surface of the shaft 13 but is a rib-like convex. Since only the shape portion 32 is in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the shaft 13, the operation force when rotating the display 3 is small, and it does not feel heavy when operated, and the operation feeling is excellent. Since the number of parts is small and the structure is simple, the number of assembly steps is simplified, the productivity is increased, and the cost is reduced. Since it is the engagement between the rib-like convex portion 32 on the holder 14 side and the engaging surfaces 20, 21, 22 which are flat surfaces on the shaft 13 side, delicate alignment in the shaft axial direction of both is unnecessary. Furthermore, since the convex portion is the rib-shaped convex portion 32, the contact area with the flat engagement surfaces 20, 21, 22 on the shaft 13 side is increased, and the positioning holding force is increased.
- the positioning engagement portions provided on the shaft 13 side are the flat surfaces 20, 21, and 22.
- the positioning engagement portions do not have to be flat surfaces, and are not convex on the holder 18 side.
- a concave portion that engages with the shape portion 19 may be used. Since the concave portion is not the same width as the convex portion 19 and is elongated to some extent, alignment with the convex portion 19 at the time of assembly is facilitated.
- the hinge mechanism of the display device does not apply a load to the shaft of the display other than a predetermined angle, and holds the display only at the predetermined angle. Since a convex portion is provided on the inner surface of a cylindrical holder that encloses the outer peripheral portion of the projecting shaft, a positioning engagement portion that engages with the convex portion is provided on the outer peripheral surface of the shaft. In the present invention, it is suitable for use in a hinge mechanism of a display device used for a passenger in a rear seat.
