Abstract

 早期から確実に改質を行いアノードの酸化劣化をより確実に防止可能な燃料電池システムの起動方法を提供する。炭化水素系燃料を改質する改質器と高温型燃料電池を有する燃料電池システムの起動方法であって、a)燃料流量としてM個の流量Fjを予め設定し、ただしMは2以上の整数、0<F1、Fj<Fj+1(jは1以上M-1以下の整数)、FMは起動完了時の燃料の流量であり、b)改質触媒層の温度を測定しつつ改質触媒層を昇温し、c)測定された温度に基づいて改質可能な燃料流量FRを算出し、d)FR<F1ならF=0、Fj≦FR<Fj+1ならF=Fj(jは1以上M-1以下の整数)、FM≦FRならF=FMとし、e)Fが燃料流量の現在値を超えたら流量Fの燃料を触媒層に供給して改質し得られた改質ガスを燃料電池アノードに供給し、工程c~eを触媒層への燃料供給量がFMになるまで繰り返す。この方法に好適な燃料電池システム。
