Abstract

　大きな音圧が得られ、かつ広い周波数帯域で安定した音圧が得られると共に、強度の高い小型の圧電音響素子を提供する。圧電音響素子は、少なくとも２つの圧電アクチュエータ２Ａ～２Ｄと、少なくとも２つの圧電アクチュエータを支持する支持体３と、少なくとも２つの圧電アクチュエータをそれぞれ任意のタイミングで駆動させる信号入力装置と、を備える。少なくとも２つの圧電アクチュエータのうち、少なくとも一対の圧電アクチュエータ２Ａ，２Ｃは、互いの音響放射面が所定の間隙を空けて対向するように配置されている。圧電アクチュエータ２Ａは、音響放射面に沿って伸縮運動する板状の少なくとも１つの圧電素子６Ａと、圧電素子の一方の面に接合され、圧電素子６Ａの伸縮運動を、音波が発生するように振動膜８Ａへ変換伝達する台座７Ａと、台座７Ａより低弾性であり、かつ広面積である振動膜８Ａと、を有する。
