Abstract

　動画記録開始から焦点が合うまでの時間を短縮することができ、焦点がぼけた画像を記録することがなく、ＡＦ機能による電力消費を抑えることができる撮像装置。この装置では、プレビュー中に動画記録開始が指示されると、レンズ駆動部（１３６）がレンズ部（１５１）を駆動し、光学ユニット（１３１）及び画像処理部（１３２）が被写体像の画像信号を生成し、ＡＦ評価部（１３３）が画像信号を用いてフォーカス状態を評価し、ＳＡＦ制御部（１３４）がＡＦ評価値に基づいてレンズ駆動部（１３６）を制御する、一連の動作を、ＡＦ評価値の極大値が検出されるまで繰り返す。そして、レンズ駆動部（１３６）がレンズ部（１５１）を駆動し、光学ユニット（１３１）及び画像処理部（１３２）が被写体像の画像信号を生成してメモリ（１１２）に記録し、ＡＦ評価部（１３３）が画像信号を用いてフォーカス状態を評価し、ＣＡＦ制御部（１３５）がＡＦ評価値に基づいてレンズ駆動部（１３６）を制御する、一連の動作を繰り返す。
