Abstract

 電池内部での短絡による熱暴走を抑制することができるリチウム二次電池を提供する。リチウムイオンを吸蔵および放出する正極活物質を有する正極(3)と、リチウムイオンを吸蔵および放出する負極(4)と、正極端子に接続されたダミー正極(6)、および、負極端子に接続されたダミー負極(7)を交互に積層するとともに、ダミー正極(6)およびダミー負極(7)との間を絶縁する短絡用セパレータ(8)を有するダミー積層体(9)と、が設けられ、ダミー積層体(9)が、交互に積層された正極(3)および負極(4)の外側に積層されていることを特徴とする。
