Definitions

  • the invention relates to a mobile water dam, in particular for protection against flooding, with a flat and flexible retaining wall, one longitudinal side by means of fastening means with the dam floor is non-displaceably connected and the other longitudinal side by means of a stowage wall connected float from the dam floor spaced at height is held, wherein the floating body is movably connected to the dam floor via traction means running on the water-facing stowage wall side and the stowage wall extends partially along the dam floor.
  • flood dams anchored in the river bed are known (GB 2 016 564 A, EP 07 635 A1 and US Pat. No. 4,299,514 A). These dams are designed to prevent the spread of tidal waves, in which they form a kind of water cutting across the riverbed, the flexible retaining wall and the traction means of the retaining wall are fixedly mounted with fastening means in the riverbed. As mobile dams these known flood dams are not suitable.

  • the water dam can be set up not only in a relatively short time but is also easy to handle, since only a common fastening means must be used to set up the dam. This is particularly advantageous for mobile dams, because only a short time is available for setting up these dams, so they are not permanently mounted.
