Abstract

 水素製造方法は、気化状態の炭化水素系原料と酸素と水とを含む混合原料から、水素を含有する改質ガスを生じさせるための改質反応器(1)の内部において、部分酸化改質反応および水蒸気改質反応を併発させるオートサーマル改質反応により行われる。改質反応器(1)は、所定のガス流路を有し、主として発熱反応である部分酸化改質反応を起こすための第1触媒を含む第1領域(41)と、所定のガス流路を有し、主として吸熱反応である水蒸気改質反応を起こすための第2触媒を含む第2領域(42)とを備える。第1領域(41)と第2領域(42)とは、熱伝導性の内管(3)を挟んで隣接して配置されており、上記第1触媒は、上記第1領域(41)における中間位から下流側に充填されている。
