Abstract

　上面と、下面と、側面と、前記上面と前記側面との交差部の少なくとも一部に形成され、且つ、主切刃と、上面視において前記主切刃と鈍角をなすよう配置された副切刃と、前記主切刃と前記副切刃との間に位置するコーナー切刃と、を有した切刃と、前記上面に達するよう前記側面上に形成された溝部と、を有した切削インサートである。この切削インサートは、前記溝部のコーナー切刃側に位置する側壁面が、上面視において、前記副切刃に対して略平行か、または溝部内部に向かうにつれて前記副切刃に近づくよう形成されている。この切削インサートを装着した切削工具およびそれを用いた切削方法である。
