Abstract

 赤外線吸収剤を添加して成形したレンズにおいて、赤外線吸収剤の劣化や分解などが生じないようにして、優れた赤外線吸収性能を示す眼鏡用レンズを提示し、またはそのような赤外線吸収性眼鏡用レンズの製造方法を提示することである。  ポリイソシアネートとポリヒドロキシ化合物を反応させたプレポリマーと、芳香族ポリアミンとが付加重合反応してなるポリウレタン樹脂組成物に、赤外線吸収色素を含ませた樹脂組成物からなる赤外線吸収性眼鏡用レンズとした。従来の成形用樹脂材料では不可避であった過酸化物などの添加剤(過酸化ベンゾイルなどの重合触媒、重合開始剤など)による赤外線吸収剤の機能劣化や可視光の吸収増加傾向が回避され、しかも比較的低温で成形が可能で、従来技術のように250°Cを超えるような高温で成形する必要もないので、加熱による赤外線吸収剤の機能劣化も回避される。
