Abstract

L'invention concerne une nouvelle diamine qui a pour effet d'augmenter l'angle de préinclinaison de cristaux liquides lorsqu'elle est utilisée en tant que matière première pour un agent d'alignement de cristaux liquides. Cette diamine permet d'aligner verticalement des cristaux liquides même lorsqu'elle est utilisée en une petite quantité. De plus, cette diamine précipite à peine même lorsqu'un solvant pauvre est mélangé dans une solution d'agent d'alignement de cristaux liquides pour améliorer l'aptitude à l'application en revêtement de l'agent. L'invention concerne spécifiquement une diamine représentée par la formule (1) suivante. (1) ((dans la formule (1), R1 représente un phénylène ou un cycloxylène ; et R2 représente un groupe alkyle ayant de 3 à 12 atomes de carbone, un groupe fluoroalkyle ayant de 3 à 12 atomes de carbone, un groupe alcoxy ayant de 3 à 12 atomes de carbone ou un groupe fluoroalcoxy ayant de 3 à 12 atomes de carbone).
