Abstract

 軸受に作用する荷重、または車輪と路面間に作用する荷重を簡単で正確に検出できるセンサ付車輪用軸受を提供する。このセンサ付車輪用軸受は、複列の転走面3が内周に形成された外方部材1と、この転走面3と対向する転走面4を外周に形成した内方部材2と、両転走面3,4間に介在した複列の転動体5とを備え、車体に対して車輪を回転自在に支持する。前記外方部材1および内方部材2のうちの固定側の部材には、前記転動体5が通過するときに生じる固定側部材の歪みを拡大する歪み拡大機構21を設ける。この歪み拡大機構21で拡大される歪みを検出する歪みセンサ素子22を設ける。この歪みセンサ素子22の出力から軸受に作用する荷重、または前記車輪と路面間に作用する荷重を推定する推定手段24を設ける。
