Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Schalenkatalysator enthaltend als Aktivmetall Ruthenium alleine oder zusammen mit mindestens einem weiteren Metall der Nebengruppen IB, VIIB oder VIII des Periodensystems der Elemente (CAS- Version), aufgebracht auf einen Träger enthaltend Siliziumdioxid als Trägermaterial, ein Verfahren zur Herstellung dieses Schalen katalysators, ein Verfahren zur Hydrierung einer organischen Verbindung, die hydrierbare Gruppen enthält, bevorzugt zur Hydrierung einer carbocyclischen aromatischen Gruppe zu der entsprechenden carbocyclischen aliphatischen Gruppen oder zur Hydrierung von Aldehyden zu den entsprechenden Alkoholen, unter Verwendüng des erfindungsgemäßen Schalenkatalysators sowie die Verwendung des erfindungsgemäßen Schalenkatalysators zur Hydrierung einer organischen Verbindung, die hydrierbare Gruppen enthält, bevorzugt zur Hydrierung einer carbocyclischen aromatichen Gruppe zu der entsprechenden carbocyclischen aliphatischen Gruppen oder zur Hydrierung von Aldehyden zu den entsprechenden Alkoholen.
