Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung und ein entsprechendes Verfahren zum Behandeln von zylindrisch geformten Flächen (F) , insbesondere zum Behandeln der Laufbahnen der Zylinderöffnungen (Z) von Verbrennungsmotorblöcken (M) , mittels eines Laserstrahls (L) , mit einem drehbar gelagerten und durch einen Drehantrieb (7) um eine Drehachse (D) angetriebenen Gehäuse (8), in dem eine Umlenkoptik (14) zum Umlenken des Laserstrahls (L) aus einer in Längsrichtung des Gehäuses (8) gerichteten Richtung in eine von dieser abweichenden, zu der zu bearbeitenden Fläche (F) gerichteten Richtung drehfest befestigt ist. Mit einer solchen Vorrichtung und einem entsprechenden Verfahren lässt sich die Bearbeitung von zylindrisch geformten Flächen, insbesondere der Laufflächen von Zylinderöffnungen von Verbrennungsmotoren, mit einem hohen Wirkungsgrad dadurch durchführen, dass der Laserstrahl (L) erfindungsgemäß, bevor er auf die Umlenkoptik (14) trifft, eine Strahlformungseinrichtung (18) durchläuft, die ihn zu einem Strahl mit im Wesentlichen kreisrundem Querschnitt formt.
