[0001] 本発明は、例えば、自動車の駆動力伝達部において、一方の伝達軸と他方の伝 達軸とを連結させる等速ジョイントに関する。
背景技術
[0002] 従来より、自動車の駆動力伝達部では、一方の伝達軸と他方の伝達軸とを連結し 回転駆動力を各車軸へと伝達する等速ジョイントが用いられて 、る。
[0003] この種の従来技術に係るトリポート型の等速ジョイントは、 3本の脚軸を周方向に 沿って 120度の角度で離間し且つ半径外方向に突設させたトリポート部材と、前記ト リポート部材の 3本の脚軸をトラック溝に係合させて一体的に回転する円筒状の外輪 とから基本的に構成され、 2軸力 ^、かなる作動角をとつても等速で回転トルクを伝達し 、し力も軸方向の相対的変位を許容することができるように設けられている。この場合 、脚軸とトラック溝との摩擦抵抗を軽減するために、前記脚軸に対して球面ローラが 回転自在に軸着されている。
[0004] 前記従来技術に係るトリポート型の等速ジョイントでは、 2軸によって作動角が形 成された状態で回転トルクを伝達する場合、各脚軸の球面ローラがトラック溝内で外 輪の軸方向に往復運動をしながら回転トルクが伝達される。この往復運動の周期は、 外輪及びトリポート部材の 1回転(360度)にっき、 1往復運動が行われる。この往復 運動中、球面ローラの軸線と外輪の軸線との交差角度が連続的に変化し、トラック溝 に対して球面ローラが斜交状態で接触することとなるため、前記球面ローラのトラック 溝に対する転がり運動が円滑に行われなくなり滑りを伴いながら往復運動をするため 各接触部位の摩擦力が増加する。
[0005] 換言すると、トリポート部材の 3つの脚軸が回転角度 120度毎に同じ往復動作を 繰り返しているため、外輪及びトリポート部材の軸方向に周期的な誘起スラスト力が 発生し、この誘起スラスト力がエンジンやトランスミッション或いはデフアレンシャル装 置のマウント手段と共振し、車両の振動発生要因の一つとなって 、る。
[0006] そこで、前記誘起スラスト力を低減させるために、例えば、特開平 7— 103250号 公報には、各脚軸をトリポート部材の軸心に直角な面と第 1の傾斜角にそれぞれ傾 斜させ、この傾斜した各脚軸と所定角度方向に外輪の案内溝を設け、前記案内溝の 中心軸がトリポート部材の軸心方向と第 2の傾斜角をなして傾斜させた等速ジョイント が開示されている。
[0007] また、特表平 11 508673号公報には、ローラを回転自在に軸支する 3本のァー ム (脚軸)を有する継手部材を備え、前記 3本の各アームを、継手部材及び軸要素の 回転軸線に対して垂直な平面に対して所定角度傾斜させた等速ジョイントが開示さ れている。
[0008] さらに、特開平 7— 91457号公報には、伝達軸の軸線の周方向に沿って 120度 ずつ配分された軸線を有する 3つのトラニオンジャーナル (脚軸)が設けられ、前記各 トラ-オンジャーナルの軸線が前記伝達軸の軸線と直交することがなく、所定角度傾 斜させた等速ジョイントが開示されている。
[0009] さらにまた、特開昭 61— 266830号公報には、トリポート部材の 3つ脚軸を、それ ぞれ、前記トリポート部材の軸心に直角な線に対して前記軸心を含む平面上で傾斜 角だけ傾斜させた等速ジョイントが開示されている。
[0010] さらにまた、実開昭 63— 115927号公報には、各脚軸の軸心を、それぞれ、トリポ 一ト部材の軸心を横切る垂直平面に対して所定角度傾斜させた等速ジョイントが開 示されている。
発明の開示
[0011] し力しながら、前記特開平 7— 103250号公報、特表平 11 508673号公報、特 開平 7— 91457号公報、特開昭 61— 266830号公報、及び、実開昭 63— 115927 号公報に開示された等速ジョイントでは、トリポート部材の各脚軸を、それぞれ、トリポ 一ト部材の軸線と直角な面に対して同一の傾斜角度で傾斜するように成形する必要 があり、従来力 使用していたトリポート部材と比較してカ卩ェコスト及び材料コストが高 騰する。
[0012] 本発明の一般的な目的は、誘起スラスト力の発生を抑制すると共に、加工コスト及 び材料コストを低減させることが可能な等速ジョイントを提供することにある。
[0013] 本発明によれば、少なくとも、いずれか一つのトラ-オンの傾斜角度を他のトラ- オンの傾斜角度と相違するように設定することにより、第 1〜第 3トラニオンの各動作 が全て同一でなく不規則な往復動作となるため、回転 3次成分の誘起スラスト力が低 減し、振動の発生が抑制される。
[0014] すなわち、従来技術では、第 1〜第 3脚軸がそれぞれ同一の往復動作を繰り返し ているため回転 3次の誘起スラスト力が増大するのに対し、本発明では、少なくとも一 つのトラ-オンの動作が他のトラ-オンの動作と異なるように設定することにより 3つの トラ-オンの動作バランスが崩れ、回転 3次成分の誘起スラスト力を低減させることが できる。
[0015] また、本発明では、従来力も使用されているスパイダに対して他方の伝達軸が軸 着される孔部の軸線を前記スパイダに対して直交させることなく所定角度だけ傾斜し た状態で形成することにより、簡便に製造することができるため、加工コスト及び材料 コストを低減することができる。

発明を実施するための最良の形態
[0017] 図 1〜図 4において参照符号 10は、本発明の実施の形態に係るトリポート型の等 速ジョイントを示し、この等速ジョイント 10は、図示しない第 1軸(一方の伝達軸)の一 端部に一体的に連結された有底円筒状のァウタカップ (ァウタ部材) 12と、第 2軸 (他 方の伝達軸) 14の一端部に固着されてァウタカップ 12の内空部内に収納されるイン ナ部材 16とから基本的に構成される。
[0018] なお、前記ァウタカップ 12は、一端側に形成された開口部 12aと、他端側の閉塞 端によって形成された奥部 12bとを有する。

[0054] このように、第 1トラ-オン 26aのみが他の第 2トラ-オン 26b及び第 3トラ-オン 26 cと異なる傾斜角度で傾斜し且つ第 2トラ-オン 26b及び第 3トラ-オン 26cが同一角 度で傾斜していると共に、第 1〜第 3トラ-オン 26a〜26cの各軸線が同一平面上に 位置するように設定された本実施の形態に係る等速ジョイント 10では、第 1トラ-オン 26aが他の第 2トラ-オン 26b及び第 3トラ-オン 26cと比較してそれぞれ開口部 12a 側と奥部 12b側とにそれぞれ異なる傾斜角度で傾斜するように動作するため、回転 角度に対応して前記第 1トラ-オン 26aのみが他の第 2及び第 3トラ-オン 26b、 26c と異なる往復動作をしている。このことは、図 12に示されるように、 1回転したときの前 記第 1〜第 3トラ-オン 26a〜26cに対応する誘起スラスト力の第 1波形 50aが第 2波 形 50b及び第 3波形 50cと比較して異なる形状をなしていることからも確認される。
[0055] なお、本実施の形態では、第 2トラ-オン 26b及び第 3トラ-オン 26cの動作に対 応する誘起スラスト力の第 2波形 50b及び第 3波形 50cが、それぞれ、略同一である ことから、前記第 2トラ-オン 26b及び第 3トラ-オン 26cはそれぞれ同一の動作をし ているちの半 IJ断される。

[0063] 換言すると、第 1比較例及び第 2比較例等の従来技術に係る等速ジョイント 100、 200では、第 1〜第 3脚軸 102a〜102c、 202a〜202cがそれぞれ同一の往復動作 を繰り返しているため回転 3次の誘起スラスト力が増大するのに対し、本実施の形態 では、少なくとも一つのトラ-オンの動作が他のトラ-オンの動作と異なるように設定 することにより 3つのトラ-オンの動作バランスが崩れ、回転 3次成分の誘起スラスト力 を低減させることができる。
[0064] さらに、本実施の形態に係る等速ジョイント 10では、図 21A及び図 21Bに示され るように、従来力も使用されていた 3つの第 1〜第 3トラ-オン 26a〜26cが突出形成 されたスパイダ 24を用い、第 1トラ-オン 26aが上方に位置した状態で前記スパイダ 2 4全体を鉛直面 (S)に対して所定角度 (N)だけ傾斜させた状態で該スパイダ 24の中 心部に第 2軸 14が貫通される孔部 25を傾斜させて貫通形成することにより(図 22参 照)、第 1トラ-オン 26aの傾斜角度 )のみが他の第 2及び第 3トラ-オン 26b、 26 cの傾斜角度( j8、 γ )と異なるように製造することができる(α≠ |8、 α≠γ、 |8 = γ )
[0065] このように、本実施の形態に係る等速ジョイント 10では、従来から使用されている スパイダ 24に対して第 2軸 14が軸着される孔部 25の軸線をスパイダ 24に対して直 交させることなく所定角度だけ傾斜した状態で形成することにより、簡便に製造するこ とができるため、加工コスト及び材料コストを低減することができる。すなわち、本実施 の形態では、スパイダ 24に突出形成された第 1〜第 3トラ-オン 26a〜26cを傾斜さ
せるのでなく該スパイダ 24の中心部に形成される孔部 25を傾斜させて穿孔すること により簡便に製造することができる。
[0066] なお、図 23A及び図 23Bに示されるように、前記第 1トラニオン 26aが上方にある 初期状態から時計回り方向に角度 Θだけ回転させた状態で、前記図 21A及び図 21 Bと同様に、スパイダ 24全体を鉛直面に対して所定角度だけ傾斜させた状態で該ス ノイダ 24の中心部に第 2軸 14が貫通される孔部 25を傾斜させて貫通形成すること により、第 1〜第 3トラ-オン 26a〜26cの軸線の傾斜角度がそれぞれ異なるように設 定することがでさる ≠ β、 β≠ γ、 α≠γ )。
[0067] さらに、本実施の形態では、 3本のトラニオンの軸線が第 2軸の軸線と直交する面 に沿って設けられた従来技術に係る図示しないトリポート型の等速ジョイントや、特開 平 7— 103250号公報、特表平 11— 508673号公報、特開平 7— 91457号公報、 特開昭 61— 266830号公報、及び、実開昭 63— 115927号公報等に開示された従 来技術に係るトリポート型の等速ジョイントと比較して、第 1軸と第 2軸 14とのなす作動 角が同一の場合であってもローラ部材 30の移動量が増大するため、耐久性を向上さ せることができる利点がある。
[0068] ここで、図 24は、本実施の形態に係るトリポート型の等速ジョイント 10と前記従来 技術に係るトリポート型の等速ジョイントとにおけるローラ部材 30の移動範囲を比較 対照したものである。なお、図 24中において、 Rは、スパイダ 24の中心点 0 (第 2軸 1 4の軸芯)から案内溝 18a (b、 c)に沿って移動するローラ部材 30の外径までの距離 を示したものである。
[0069] 前記従来技術に係るトリポート型の等速ジョイントでは、第 1軸と第 2軸とによって 形成される作動角が 2 Θのとき、ローラ部材 30の移動範囲 (移動量)が 2Rtan 0と表 される(一点鎖線 K1及び一点鎖線 K2をそれぞれ斜辺とする 2つの直角三角形を参 照)。
[0070] これに対して本実施の形態に係るトリポート型の等速ジョイント 10では、第 1軸と第 2軸 14とによって形成される作動角が 2 Θのとき、ローラ部材 30の移動範囲 (移動量 )が Rtan2 Θと表される(実線 L1及び L2によって形成される直角三角形参照)。前記 Rtan2 Θを一般式に変形すると、 Rtan δ +Rtan l (但し、 δ + λ = 2 θ )となる。
[0071] 以上から、本実施の形態に係る等速ジョイント 10では、第 1〜第 3トラ-オン 26a 〜26cの各軸線が同一平面上に位置して所定角度だけ傾斜するように設定されてい るため、第 1軸と第 2軸 14との作動角がそれぞれ 2 Θで同一の場合であっても案内溝 18a (b、 c)に対するローラ部材 30の移動範囲を拡大させ、前記ローラ部材 30の移 動量を増大させることができる。
[0072] 従来技術に係るトリポート型の等速ジョイントにおいて、第 1軸と第 2軸との間で回 転トルクが伝達される際、作動角が 0度 (第 1軸と第 2軸とが同軸)のときローラ部材は 案内溝に沿って移動することがなぐ前記ローラ部材の移動量が零であるが、前記作 動角が 0度力 僅かに増大して 0度近傍となったときローラ部材の移動範囲 (摺動部 位)が案内溝の限定された狭小な領域となるため、摩耗等によりその耐久性が劣化 する要因となっている。
[0073] これに対して、本実施の形態に係るトリポート型の等速ジョイント 10では、第 1軸と 第 2軸 14との作動角が 0度近傍のときにおける案内溝 18a (b、 c)に対するローラ部 材 30の移動量の増大傾向が特に顕著であるため、従来技術に係るトリポート型の等 速ジョイントと比較してその耐久性を向上させることができる。
Claims
[1] 所定間隔離間し軸線方向に沿って延在する複数の案内溝(18a〜18c)が内周 面に設けられ一方の伝達軸に連結される筒状のァウタ部材(12)と、前記ァウタ部材 ( 12)の開口する内空部内に挿入されて他方の伝達軸(14)に連結されるインナ部材 ( 16)とを有するトリポート型の等速ジョイントにおいて、
中心部に前記他方の伝達軸(14)が軸着される孔部(25)が形成され、前記案内 溝(18a〜18c)に向力つて膨出する第 1〜第 3トラニオン(26a〜26c)を有するスパ イダ(24)と、
前記案内溝(18a〜18c)に接触し、前記第 1〜第 3トラニオン (26a〜26c)にそ れぞれ外嵌されるリング状のローラ部材 (30)と、
前記第 1〜第 3トラニオン (26a〜26c)と前記ローラ部材 (30)との間に転動自在 に介装される複数の転動体 (28)と、
を備え、
前記他方の伝達軸(14)の軸線と直交する面 (S)に対して前記第 1〜第 3トラニォ ン(26a〜26c)の各軸線 (Tl、 Τ2、 Τ3)をそれぞれ傾斜させ、少なくとも、一つのトラ ユオンの傾斜角度が他の二つのトラ-オンの傾斜角度とそれぞれ異なると共に、前 記第 1〜第 3トラ-オンの 3本の軸線が同一の平面上に位置するように設定されること を特徴とする等速ジョイント。
[2] 請求項 1記載の等速ジョイントにおいて、
前記第 1トラニオン (26a)の傾斜角度( a )が第 2トラニオン(26b)の傾斜角度( β )及び第 3トラ-オン (26c)の傾斜角度( γ )とそれぞれ異なるように設定され、且つ前 記第 2トラニオン (26b)の傾斜角度( β )と第 3トラニオン (26c)の傾斜角度( y )とが それぞれ等しく設定される ( α≠ α≠ γ , β = γ )ことを特徴とする等速ジョイント
[3] 請求項 1記載の等速ジョイントにおいて、
前記第 1〜第 3トラ-オン (26a〜26c)の各傾斜角度(ひ、 γ )がそれぞれ異 なるように設定される(α≠ |8、 |8≠ γ、 α≠ γ )ことを特徴とする等速ジョイント。
[4] 請求項 1記載の等速ジョイントにおいて、
前記スパイダ(24)に形成された孔部(25)の軸線は、前記第 1〜第 3トラニオン(2 6a〜26c)の 3本の軸線 (Tl、 Τ2、 Τ3)をそれぞれ含む同一平面に対して、非直交 した状態で交差するように設けられることを特徴とする等速ジョイント。
