Definitions
- the invention relates to a blank, in particular a one-piece blank, for a folding box, in particular made of cardboard, with several, in particular four, side walls, on which, at least on one side, at least one closure flap is formed.
- folding boxes are used to hold powdered products, such as washing powder
- high demands must be made on the tightness of the folding boxes in order to prevent the contents of the box from escaping.
- insects must be prevented from entering the inside of the box.
- Conventional folding boxes have the disadvantage that they are often leaky, particularly at the corners, so that part of the package contents trickles out when the folding box is moved.
- additional inner bags are used, for example in folding boxes to hold powdered sugar, the use of which increases sealing, but also the manufacturing costs.
- the object of the invention is therefore to create a blank, in particular a one-piece blank, for a folding box, in particular made of cardboard, with several, in particular four, side walls, on each of which at least one closure flap is formed on at least one side, and a folding box, escaping the contents of the box from the erected and closed folding box is reliably prevented.
- a blank in particular a one-piece blank, for a folding box, in particular made of cardboard, with several, in particular four, side walls, on which, at least on one side, at least one closure flap is formed in that at least one the closure tab has at least one reduction section, in which the thickness of the blank is reduced and which comes to rest on another closure tab in a corner region of the erected and closed folding box.
- the reduced thickness of the reduction section prevents an undesirable accumulation of material in the corner area.
- a preferred exemplary embodiment of the blank is characterized in that the reduction section has the shape of a triangle, in particular a right-angled triangle, one side of which is formed by a sealing fold line which runs between two adjacent closure flaps.
- the particularly triangular reduction section rests with one leg on the sealing fold line.
- the other leg of the reduction section forms part of the edge of the associated closure tab. This shape of the reduction section ensures an optimal seal in the corner area of the erected and closed folding box.
- the sealing fold line forms one side of a detachment section which has the shape of a triangle, in particular a right-angled triangle, which has essentially the same thickness and the same size as the reduction section and that of the adjacent closure flap is replaced. That is, the sealing tab with the detaching section essentially has one constant thickness, which is reduced only in the area of the separation section. The detaching section is therefore otherwise connected to the associated closure tab. The release section comes into contact with the reduction section in the erected and closed state of the folding box and creates a good seal between two adjacent sealing tabs in the corner area.
- Another preferred exemplary embodiment of the blank is characterized in that the reduction section and the detachment section are formed by fold lines which cut the sealing fold line only in the area of the right angle, but not in the area of the adjacent acute angle, but end there shortly before the sealing fold line , This means that a defined material accumulation is exactly in the corner of the erected and closed folding shafts! guaranteed.
- Another preferred exemplary embodiment of the blank is characterized in that a step is formed in the region of the adjacent acute angles by fold lines.
- the step creates two small triangular sealing tabs that seal the corners of the folding box when it is erected and closed.
- a further preferred exemplary embodiment of the blank is characterized in that two reduction sections are formed on a locking tab, between which a biasing tab is arranged.
- the pre Clamping flap serves to pretension the associated closing flap so that when the folding box is erected and closed it is printed against the closing flap attached to it.
- Another preferred exemplary embodiment of the blank is characterized in that the pretensioning tab has a section which comes into contact with the associated closing tab when the folding box is erected and closed. This reinforces the closing tab
- Another preferred exemplary embodiment of the blank is characterized in that the prestressing tab has a further section which comes to rest on the associated side wall when the folding box is erected and closed. This allows the prestressing in the associated closing tab to be increased
- Another preferred exemplary embodiment of the blank is characterized in that the closure flap with the reduction section has a cutout following the reduction section. The cut-out prevents an undesirable accumulation of material in the corner area of the folding box.
- a further preferred exemplary embodiment of the blank is characterized in that the blank comprises two main side walls, each with at least one main locking flap and two secondary side walls, each with at least one secondary locking flap.
- the side walls form a cuboid-shaped recording space for any content.
- the recording room is through the Closing flaps closed, which form the bottom and the lid of the erected folding box.
- the boxes can be provided with a spout, for example.
- the boxes can also be sealed at the top or bottom.
- the above-mentioned object is achieved in the case of a folding box by using a blank described above.
- the blank can be set up manually or mechanically.
- the special shape of the cut ensures excellent tightness of the erected and closed folding box.
- a preferred exemplary embodiment of the folding box is characterized in that the detaching section is arranged substantially congruent with the reduction section in the erected and closed state of the folding box. This arrangement has given the best results in terms of tightness in the investigations carried out within the scope of the present invention.
- Another preferred exemplary embodiment of the folding box is characterized in that the detaching section comes into contact with the reduction section in the erected and closed state of the folding box.
- the two adjacent sections together have approximately the same thickness as the rest of the blank.
- a corresponding adhesive application ensures that the sections lying against one another are held together.
- a further preferred exemplary embodiment of the folding box is characterized in that the detaching section, when the folding box is erected, is attached to another closing flap Facility is coming.
- the other closure flap is preferably arranged between the reduction section and the detachment section in the erected and closed state of the folding box. This ensures excellent tightness.
