Definitions
- the invention is based on the methods known for the production of perms.
- the cold wave preparations generally used for this today contain thio compounds, in particular salts of thioglycolic acid and thiolactic acid.
- the most technically significant salt is ammonium thioglycolate, which is formed when the thioglycolic acid is neutralized with ammonia.
- the pH of the preparations is usually set to 8 to 8.6.
- These compounds reduce the disulfide bridges of keratin (the main component of the hair). They are therefore addressed below as reducing agents.
- the reducing agents themselves are oxidized to dithiodiglycolates in this process. In the reduced form, the keratin of the hair is then soft and malleable.
- the hair is wound on cylindrical bodies (wraps). After an exposure time of up to 20 minutes at 40-50 ° C, the hair is rinsed with water and "fixed" by oxidizing agents. The hair is dehydrated by the oxidizing agents (hydrogen peroxide, percarbamide and other peroxo compounds or alkali bromates). In reverse of the above-mentioned process, the disulfide bridges of the hair are re-formed and the hair is permanently solidified in the form given by the wrap (see, for example, Römpp, Lexikon Chemie, 10th edition (1997), volume 3, keyword hair treatment / Hair shaping agents, p. 1641 ff.).
- oxidizing agents hydrogen peroxide, percarbamide and other peroxo compounds or alkali bromates
- a disadvantage of this known permanent wave method is that the entire strand of hair wound on a roll is waved in a circular manner. But in order to be smooth, only approximately vertically approx. 1 in the area close to the scalp of the scalp To create hairstyles that protrude by up to 1.5 cm, but then smooth and parallel to the scalp under the influence of their own weight, the waveform in the area away from the scalp must be removed again using artificial means. This is very time-consuming.
- the normal perm wears the hair very heavily because when the hair is not yet permanently waved, the entire hair is always subjected to a new treatment, so that the areas remote from the scalp are subjected to the perm treatment several times until they are no longer available when the hair is cut , This leads to unsightly dull surfaces on the hair.
- EP 0 626 815 B1 describes a method for winding up very short strands of hair in the production of perms.
- the end of a strand of hair remote from the scalp is attached to the end of a holding strip near the scalp; This is then wound up and the short strand of hair is also wrapped up.
- This process requires a certain amount of equipment (holding strip, on ickel réelle) and a certain skill in handling. It is also not suitable to achieve hair reshaping only in the area near the scalp or other selected areas in the case of longer hair.
- the invention has for its object to provide a method for targeted hair styling, in which individual sections of hair can be brought into any permanent shape.
- selective direct shaping should be possible in the area close to the scalp.
- the method should also be simpler and gentler on the hair than the methods known for this purpose.
- the invention further relates to various advantageous developments.
- the areas of the hair that are to be reshaped are surrounded with the reduction and support mixture, e.g. coated.
- the reducing agent contained in the reducing and supporting mixture acts on the hair.
- the admixture of absorbent and swellable particles ensures that the reducing agent in the reducing and Support mixture is taken up or sucked up and then embedded in it in such a way that it can also penetrate from the cooled and thus solidified wax into the hair surrounded by it.
- the desired properties are generally given for swellable and absorbent particles. They are particularly present in the case of organic particles, for example starch particles such as flour.
- the absorbent and swelling particles absorb the reducing agent during the preparation of the reducing and supporting mixture, owing to their hydrophilic property.
- the wax slightly reduces its volume and squeezes the reducing agent out of the absorbent and swellable particles. This enables or promotes the delivery of the reducing agent to the surrounding hair.
- the reducing agent contained in the wax can therefore act on the hair.
- an oxidizing agent is added after the desired action time of the reducing agent in order to "fix" the hair, the sulfide bridges of the keratin are newly formed, namely in the form held by the cooled wax.
- the oxidizing agent preferably applied from the outside to the cooled wax as a fixing foam, can act on the hair by virtue of the fact that the wax surrounding the hair is quasi-porous due to the swelling and absorbent particles contained therein.
- the oxidizing agent for example the fixing foam, is absorbed by them and released again to the hair.
- the ability of the particles to swell causes the particles to swell again (after they have been pressed together when the wax has cooled; see above) and thereby in the wax Generate the finest cracks, so to speak "crumble" the wax, so that the wax particles can be washed out.
- the absorbent and swellable particles dispersed in the wax thus act first as a storage for the reducing agent and then as a transport path for the oxidizing agent, and finally as an aid to crumble the wax and thus make it washable.
- the washability of the wax is improved if emulsifiers and / or surfactants are already added to the reduction and support mixture. This is usually the case because emulsifiers have already been added to the commercially available reducing agents and oxidizing agents. It even shows that when washing (rinsing) the hair gets a particularly soft, velvety -in the language of hairdressers: - "well-groomed" appearance.
- Another advantage of the invention is the ease of use.
- a preparation made of solid wax and absorbent and swellable particles distributed therein This preparation is heated, for example in a small induction device, as is also used for heating baby food.
- reducing agent is added and stirred in (mixed).
- a kind of water-in-oil emulsion is created.
- the strands of hair are divided at the head and the reduction and support mixture, which now contains wax, reducing agent and the particles mentioned in dispersed form, is applied to the areas to be deformed, for example on a strand of hair near the scalp.
- cools the wax The exposure time required for the softening of the hair by the reducing agent is waited for.
- the oxidizing agent for example as a fixing foam, is then applied between the individual areas of the hair held in place by the cooled reduction and support mixture and then washed out.
- a particular advantage of this process is that you no longer need wraps.
- Reducing agents of the type applicable here are e.g. Thioglycolic acid, thiolic acid, and their salts and esters.
- Oxidizing agents are e.g. Hydrogen peroxide, percarbamide, performic acid, peracetic acid, perpropionic acid and / or bromate.
- a depilation wax that can usually be used for hair removal has proven to be particularly suitable as wax.
- Propanediols propylene glycols
- elmugators are particularly suitable as elmugators.
- FIG. 3 shows the application of an oxidizing agent
- Figure 4 shows the finished hairstyle with the shaped
- the wax is commercially available depilation wax.
- the flour is commercially available flour, although it can be assumed that the finer the flour, the better the effect. So-called. "Instant" flour is particularly suitable.
- the mixing ratio of wax and flour in preparation 2 is determined experimentally.
- the proportions of wax: flour are between 40-60% by weight of wax and 60-40% by weight of flour. It has been found that if the proportion of flour is slightly higher than that of the wax (5-15%, preferably 10%), a particularly favorable result is achieved.
- the wax content was 45% by weight and the flour content was 55% by weight; the total amount about 230g. It has also proven beneficial to add up to 5% sugar and / or up to 1% oil to stabilize the emulsion and improve spreadability.
- the preparation 2 is produced by heating the wax.
- the wax used became liquid at 46 ° C.

- This can be a commercially available permanent wave mixture, also consisting of two components which have only been put together during use, namely a so-called “activator” and a so-called “base lotion” (in the commercially recommended mixing ratio).
- the Activator can e.g. B. Glyceryl Thioglycolate, Propylene Glycol contain.
- the base lotion can contain water, propylene glycol, urea, ammonium bicarbonate, ammonium hydroxides, PEG-35 Castor Oil and Simethicone.

- the reduction and support mixture obtained is spread according to FIG. 2 with a brush 8 onto the area 9 of a strand of hair 10 close to the scalp. It is held in the desired position by an operator. The operator holds the strand of hair until the wax has cooled, so that the cooled and thus solidified reduction and support mixture as a support corset or support frame, as shown at 10 ', holds the strand of hair 10 in the desired shape or position in the area close to the skin , while the reduction and support mixture from the absorbent and swellable flour particles is released to the hair, favored by the fact that the wax reduces its volume as it cools and solidifies and thus squeezes the organic particles.
- the surface of the solidified reduction and support mixture becomes somewhat soapy, as a result of the emulsifiers and / or surfactants added to the reducing agent.
- fixing foam 11 is sprayed from a spray can 12, that is to say an oxidizing agent, between the areas of adjacent strands of hair surrounded by a solidified reduction and support mixture, as shown in FIG.
- Spraying foam between two Adjacent, solidified areas have the advantage that the foam in the short time in which it exists as foam, at the beginning of the fixing of the hair, while the wax is already soft and granular, supports the hair somewhat.
- the fixation is finished after a short time.
- the wax decomposes (as mentioned above) and is then rinsed out or washed out.
- the strands of hair then have the shape shown in Figure 4.
- FIG. 2 it can also be seen how the end 15 of a strand of hair 14 remote from the head can also be shaped into a quarter curl in a completely analogous manner by means of a reduction and support mixture 13, so that it then acquires the shape shown in FIG. 4.

Abstract
Description
Verfahren zur Haarumformung
Beschreibung
(a.l) Wachs, das sich infolge Erwärmung in zumindest streichfähigem Zustand befindet und nach dem Abkühlen in festem Zustand das Haar stützt, (a.2) saug- und quellfähige Partikel, und (a.3) ein Reduktionsmittel, dass das Haar in einen umformbaren Zustand überführt;
Reduktions- und Stützmischung;
Figur 2 das Auftragen der Reduktions- und
Stützmischung auf den kopfhautnahen Bereich einer Haarsträhne und das kopfhautferne Ende einer Haarsträhne;
Figur 3 das Auftragen eines Oxidationsmittels
(Fixierschaum) nach der Einwirkungszeit des Reduktionsmittels;
Figur 4 die fertige Frisur mit den geformten
Bereichen.
