本発明は有機材料の安定剤と して有用なホス フ ア イ 卜化合物 およびその用途に関する。
「背景技術 _
天然高分子、 合成高分子、 油脂、 潤滑油、 作動油等の有機化 合物より なる有機材料は酸化を受けて有用性を'减じる Οて、 種 々 の酸化防止剤が工夫されて、 これら有機材料中に添加されて いる。 例えば、 ヒ ンダー ドフ エ ノ ール系化合物、 チォ Tルカ ン 酸エ ステル化合物、 有機リ ン化合物、 芳香族ア ミ ン等の安定化 剤を単独で、 あるいは複数の組合せて用いる と安定化効果のあ るこ とが知られている。 上記の安定化剤は夫々 に特長を有し有 用であるが、 特に近年加工技術の向上、 高品質成型品の要望が 強く 、 有機リ ン化合物系のホスフア イ ト化合物は有用な酸化防 止剤として汎用されている。
ホスフア イ ト化合物の具体例としては、 特公昭 3 3 - 1 6 4 1 号公報、 特開昭 5 9 — 4 6 2 9号公報に記載された化合物が 知られている。 ホスフ ア イ ト化合物とヒ ンダー ドフ ヱ ノ ールを 併用して安定化効果を期待する具体例としては、 特公昭 3 7 - 1 2 3 7 3号公報、 米国特許第 3 5 5 8 5 5 4号明細書、 特開 昭 5 1 - 1 0 9 0 5 0号公報、 特公昭 6 2 - 2 1 8 2 2 号公報 にその提案がなされている。 さ らに、 米国特許第 4 1 6 3 0 0 7号、 同 4 1 δ 2 7 0 4号および同 4 1 8 7 2 1 2号各明細書 にもホスフ ア イ ト系酸化防止剤が開示されている。
しかしながら、 上記の従来既知のホスフ ア イ ト化合物は加水 分解や熱分解を受け易いので充分な安定化効果を期待できない ばかりでな く 、 分解生成物による腐食、 発臭等の不都合が発生 し易いという問題点を有している。 これに対し、 最近では、 加 水分解性や熱分解性が改善されたホスフア イ ト化合物も提案さ れている力;、 未だに充分ではなく、 逆に、 従来のホスフア イ ト 系化合物が示していた添加練り込み時の初期着色、 また樹脂加 ェ時の加熱着色の改良という長所を発揮しえないという問題点 を有している。 また、 ト リ ス ( ri —ォクタデシルー ^ ー ( 3 , 5 — ジ一 t —ブチル一 4 — ヒ ドロ キ シフ エニル) プロ ピオネー ト 〕 ホスフ ア イ ト (特開昭 5 9 — 4 6 2 9号公報) 、 ト リ ス
( 2 , 6 —ジ第 3級ブチルフ エニル) ホスフ ア イ ト などは、 上 記のような問題点を示すばかりでな く 、 そのホスフア イ ト結合 の隙接の立体的嵩高さが非常に大き く、 合成が極めて困難であ り、 大量に供給しなければならない酸化.防止剤としては不適で ある。
また、 本発明者らは、 これら ト リ ス体化合物の合成上の困難 性を克服すべく、 トリ ス 〔 2 —第 3級プチルー 6 —メ チルー 4 一 ( 2 —ォク タデシルォキ シカルボニルェチル) フ エニル〕 ホ スフアイ トを合成評価してきたところ、 耐熱性は改善されたも のの依然として色調の面で改善がなされていないことが判明し

ではまだ充分ではな く 、 さ らに前記したよう に第 3級ブチルと い う嵩高い基がホスフ ァ ィ ト結合に隣接している こ と力、ら、 '大 量に製造でき ない という欠点がある c
「発明の開示 _
従って、 本発明の目的は工業的に合成が容易で、 熱分解、 加 水分解し難く 、 しかも、 有機材料の加工安定性、 耐熱性を向上 させ、 その上、 さ らに有機材料の初期着色、 加熱着色も改善し う るバラ ンスの とれた安定化効果を示すホ スフ ア イ ト化合物お よびその用途を提供する こ とである。
(式中、 R 1 は炭素数 1 〜 2 2個のアルキル基を示す。 ) により表わされるホスフア イ ト化合物 〔以下、 化合物 ( I ) と いう ;! に関する。
上記定義中、 炭素数 1 〜 2 2個のアルキル基と してはメ チル、 ェチル、 プロ ビル、 イ ソプロ ピル、 ブチル、 イ ソブチル、 第 2 級ブチル、 第 3級ブチル、 ペンチル、 イ ソ ペンチル、 ネオペン チル、 第 3級ペンチル、 へキ シル、 イ ソへキ シル、 1 —メ チル ペンチゾレ、 へフ'チル、 ォクチル、 2 —ェチルへキ シル、 1 : 1 , 3 , 3 —テ ト ラメ チルブチル、 ノ ニル、 デシル、 ゥ ンデシル、 ドデシ"^、 ト リ デシル、 テ ト ラデシル、 ペンタデシル、 へキサ デシル、 ヘプタデシル、 ォク タデシル、 ノ ナデシル、 エイ コ シ ル、 ドコ シルなどが例示される。
本発明の一般式 ( I ) の化合物の特徴は次の通りである : 第一番目に、 本発明化合物は市販されているホスフア イ ト化 合物がト リ ス置換体であるのに対し、 ビス置換体である点が本 質的に重要である。
即ち、 後記する実験例 2等から明らかなよう に、 本発明化合 物は対応する ト リ ス置換体に比べ、 加水分解性、 熱安定性、 着 色性について総合的にすぐれた酸化防止能を示す。 このよう に 置換度の違いにより作用が著し く異なることは当業者の予測域 外のことである。
第二番目に、 一般式 ( I ) において、 フヱニル核の 4 一位の 置換基がメ チル基、 ェチル基、 プ π ピル基、 ブチル基、 ォクチ ル基、 ノ ニル基、 ドデシル基の様な単純なアルキル基でな く、 ― ( C H z) 2 - C 0 0 R 1 基であることが重要である。 即ち、 当該 4 一位の置換基構造は、 化合物 ( I ) 合成上において格別 の制約を受けることがな く、 しかも安定剤として必要な特性、 例えば安定化を受くべき有機化合物ないしは有機材料に対する 溶解性の付与、 揮散を防ぐための化合物 ( I ) の高分子量化、 耐分解性等を賦与する為に重要な要素である。
第三番目に当該 6 —位がメ チル基であることは化合物 ( I ) の合成上重要な意味を持っている。 即ち、 例えば 6 —位に第 3 級ブチル基の様な立体的に嵩高い基で置換された化合物は合成 が極めて困難であり、 かかる化合物は本発明の化合物 ( I ) と は本質的に異質のものである。

本発明の化合物 ( I ) は、 有機材料に対する安定化作用、 特 に酸化防止作用を有し、 有機材料の酸化劣化を防止する酸化防
止剤等と して有用である。
したがって、 本発明は、 さ らに化合物 ( I )

本発明化合物 ( I ) およびヒ ンダー ドフ ノール系化合物、 光安定剤またはチォアルカ ン酸エステル化合物のそれぞれ少な く とも 1種を組合わせて有機材料用安定剤として用いる場合、 有機材料に対し、 好ま し く は 0. 0 1 〜 5重量%の割合で配合す るのがよ く、 ヒ ンダー ドフユノール系化合物等は本発明化合物 ( I ) に対し、 0. 1 〜 1 5重量倍用いるのがよい。
本発明の化合物 ( I ) 単独またはヒ ンダ一 ドフユノ 一ル系化 合物、 光安定剤またはチオアルカ ン酸エステル化合物と併用し て、 有機材料へ配合する方法としては混合し、 ついで混練、 押 出などの工程で処理するこ とができる。
本発明化合物 ( I ) は、 さらに、 金属石鹼、 重金属不活性化 剤、 造核剤、 有機錫化合物、 可塑剤、 エポキシ化合物、 顔料、 充塡剤、 発泡剤、 帯電防止剤、 難燃剤、 滑剤、 加工助剤などと 併用するこ ともできる。
本発明化合物 ( I ) は、 有機材料に対し、 安定化作用を示し、 酸化防止剤として有用である。 また、 ヒ ンダ一ドフヱノール系 化合物、 光安定剤またはチオアルカン酸エステル化合物と併用 すると、 より一層安定化効果が発揮される。
以下、 実施例により本発明を具体的に説明するが、 本発明は これらに限定されるものではない。 なお、 得られた化合物は赤 外線吸収スぺク トル、 核磁気共鳴スぺク トル、 質量スぺク トル、 元素分析などの手段により 目的とする化合物 ( I ) であること を確認した。
実施例 1
1 £容フラスコにメ チル ' 3 — ( 3 —第 3級ブチル一 5 —メ チル一 4 ーヒ ドロキシフエニル) プロ ピオネー ト 9 8. 2 と ト ルェン 4 0 0 meを仕込み、 ピリ ジン 1. 9 gを滴下した。 昇温し、 7 0 てにて三塩化リ ン 1 6. 3 gを滴下した。 滴下終了後、 昇温 し還流下 ( 1 1 0〜 1 1 2 'C ) に 1 3時間攪拌した。 反応終了 後、 反応液を水に投入し、 酢酸ェチルにて抽出し、 水洗した。 無水硫酸マグネシウムで脱水後、 溶媒を除まし、 粗生成物 120.1 gを得た。 析出した結晶を濾取後、 濾液をシリ カゲルカ ラムで 精製 ( n—へキサン : 酢酸ェチル = 5 : 1 にて展開) した。 先 に析出した結晶とあわせて、 n— へキサンと酢酸ェチルの 7 : 1混合溶媒から再結晶すると、 融点 1 3 8〜 1 3 9 'Cの白色結 晶性粉末であるビス 〔 2 —第 3級ブチル— 6 —メ チル— 4 一 ( 2 — (メ トキシカルボニル) ェチル) フヱニル〕 ヒ ドロキシ ホスファ イ ト 5 0. 6 gを得た。
この生成物の F A B質量スぺク トルを測定したところ、 m/z = 5 4 7 に水素化分子ィォンが観測された。

実施例 2
ォクタデシル ♦ 3 — ( 3—第 3級ブチル一 5 —メ チルー 4 — ヒ ドロキシフエニル) プロビオネー ト 7 0. 0 g とピリ ジン 3. 5 を トルエン 8 O szfiに加え、 7 O 'Cに加熱後、 三塩化リ ン 7.14 gを 15分で滴下した。 滴下後、 トルエン還流下に 1 0時間攪拌
した。 反応混合物を冷却後、 水 150 を加え、 酢酸ェチルで 2 回抽出した。 有機層を水 150 、 飽和食塩水 2 0 0 にて洗浄 後、 無水硫酸マグネシウムで乾燥し、 溶媒を留去した。 得られ た粗生成物 6 3. 4 gをシリ カゲルカ ラムク ロマ トにて精製 ( n —へキサンと酢酸ェチルとの混合溶媒にて展開) し、 ついで n —へキサンとメ タノ ールの 1 : 1混合溶媒にて再結晶すると、 融点 6 8. 5〜 7 0 °Cのビス 〔 2 —第 3級ブチルー 6 —メ チルー 4 — ( 2 - (ォクタデシルカルボニル) ェチル) フヱニル〕 ヒ ドロキシホスフアイ ト 1 5. 9 gを得た。

メ チル ' 3 — ( 3 —第 3級ブチル一 5 —メ チルー 4 ーヒ ドロ キシフエニル) プロピオネー ト 70.0 g、 ォクタデシルアルコー ル 7 6. 3 gおよびジブチル錫ォキシ ド 0. 7 4 gを トルエン 7 0 に溶解後加熱し、 トルェンを加えながら溶媒 2 0 0 を留去 した。 反応混合物から トルエンを留去し、 残查をカラムク ロマ トにより精製して、 融点 5 8〜 5 9 てのォク タデシル ' 3 — ( 3 —第 3級ブチルー 5 —メ チル— 4 —ヒ ドロキシフエ二ル) プロピオネー ト 1 3 6. 0 gを得た。
製造例 1
メ チル ' 3 — ( 3 —第 3級ブチル一 6 —メ チル一 4 —ヒ ドロ キ シフヱニル) プロピオネー ト 10.0 g、 トルエン 4 0 »?£、 1, 8 ージァザビシク ロ 〔 5. 4. 0 3 ゥ ンデセ ン一 7 ( D B U ) 6. 1 gを仕込み、 2 5 。Cにて三塩化リ ン 1. 7 gを滴下した。 滴 下後、 2 5〜 2 6 'Cにて 1 7時間攪拌した。 反応終了後、 水に 投入し、 酢酸ェチルにて抽出する。 水洗し、 無水硫酸マグネシ ゥムにて脱水後、 減圧濃縮し、 シリ 力ゲル力ラム精製 ( n —へ キサン : 酢酸ェチル = 5 : 1混合溶媒にて展開) した。 得られ た粗生成物を n — へキサンから再結晶すると、 融点 1 1 3 〜 1 1 4 ての白色結晶性粉末として ト リ ス 〔 2 _第 3級プチルー 6 —メ チル一 4 — ( 2 — (メ トキシカルボニル) ェチル) フエ ニル〕 ホスフア イ トを得た。
この生成物の F A B質量スぺク トルを測定したところ、 mZz = 7 7 9 に水素化分子ィォンが観測された。

製造例 2
2 0 0 δώフラスコにォクタデシル ' 3 — ( 3 —第 3級ブチル 一 5 —メ チルー 4 ーヒ ドロキシフエニル)プロ ピオネー ト 20.0 g、 トルエン 6 0 δώ、 D B U 6. 2 gを仕込み、 三塩化リ ン 1. 4 gを 2 3〜 2 9てにて滴下した。 滴下後、 2 5 〜 2 8てにて 19 時間攬拌した。 反応終了後、 水に投入し、 酢酸ェチルにて抽出 し、 水洗した。 無水硫酸マグネシウムにて脱水後、 溶媒を留去
した。 得られた粗生成物をシ リ カゲルカ ラム精製 ( n _へキサ . ン : 酢酸ェチル 1 0 : 1 にて展開し) 、 n—へキサンから再 結晶すると、 融点 6 5〜 6 6 Xの白色結晶性粉末として ト リ ス 〔 2 —第 3級ブチル一 6 —メ チル一 4 — ( 2 — (ォク タデシル ォキ シカルボニル) ェチル) フ エニル〕 ホスフ ア イ トを得た。
この生成物の F A B質量スぺク ト ルを測定したところ、 m/z = 1 4 9 3 に水素化分子ィォンが観測された。

実験例 1
1 3 5 'Cでテ トラリ ン中で測定した極限粘度が 1. 9でアイ ソ タ ク チ ッ ク なものが 9 8 %の添加剤未添加のポ リ プロ ピ レ ン粉 末に酸化防止剤を添加してミキサ一で充分混合した。 そしてシ リ ンダー温度 2 6 0 'Cで L / D = 20、 20 Ι径の押出機によって 溶融混練して造粒した。 こう して得られたペレ ツ トの 2 3 O 'C での M F R ( J I S K 6 7 5 8 ) を測定して M F R , とした。 更に同上混練造粒条件で押出機を繰り返して 3回通し、 得られ たペレ ッ ト の 230てでの ? 1^を ? 1^4 とした。 M F Rは分 子量の一つの指標であり、 M F Rが大きいという ことは分子量 が小さいことに対応する。 即ち、 M F R , および M F R 4 が小 さ く、 M F R , と M F R 4 との差が小さいという ことは押出機 中での酸化劣化による分子量の低下が小さいという ことであり、 酸化防止剤を用いている場合には酸化防止効果が大きいという ことである。 結果を第 1表にまとめた。 比較化合物として、 米
国特許第 4 1 8 7 2 1 2号明細書に記載された化合物中、 代表 的化合物である ト リ ス ( 2 , 4 —ジ第 3級ブチルフ ニル) ホ スフ ア イ ト (以下、 化合物 Aという) を用いた。

実験例 1 において、 ヒ ンダードフ ヱノール系化合物としてテ ト ラキス 〔 3 — ( 3 , 5 —ジ第 3級プチルー 4 — ヒ ドロキ シフ ヱニル) プロ ピオニルォキ シメ チル〕 メ タ ン (以下、 化合物 B と示す。 ) を併用して、 酸化防止効果を検討した。 結果を第 2 表にまとめた。 表中、 色相 bはハンター (Hun ter) の b値を、 Y I はイェローネスイ ンデックスを示し、 第 1 回と第 4面押出 成型ペレ ツ トを対比して示した。 これらは数値が小さいほど着 色度が小さいことを意味する。 比較化合物として、 化合物 A、 ト リ ス 〔 2 —第 3級ブチル一 6 —メ チル一 4 一 ( 2 — (メ トキ シカルボニル) ェチル) フヱニル〕 ホスフ ア イ ト (製造例 1 の
化合物) および ト リ ス 〔 2 —第 3級プチルー 6 —メ チル 4 ( 2 - (ォ ク タデシルォキ シカルボニル) ェチル) フ エ ル ホスフア イ ト (製造例 2 の化合物) を用いた。

実験例 1 に用いたポリプロピレン樹脂に、 第 3表記載のリ ン 系酸化防止剤を添加、 充分に混合し、 2 6 0て、 2 0 咖 0押出
機にてペレ 'ン ト化し、 射出成型機にて、 2 0 0てで 1 mm厚のテ ス ト ピースを作成した。
こ のテス ト ピースを 1 5 0 土 1 て に調節されたギア一オーブ ン中で、 脆化するまでの時間 ( B P、 時間) を測定した。 この 結果を第 3表に示す。

実験例 1 に用いたポリプロピレン樹脂に第 4表記載のリ ン系 酸化防止剤と、 ステアリ ン酸カルシウムを添加、 充分に混合し 実験例 3 と同様にし、 脆化するまでの時間を測定した。 こ の結 果を第 4表に示す。

実験例 1 に用いたポリ プロビレン樹脂に第 5表記載の酸化防 止剤と、 テ トラキス 〔 3 — ( 3 , 5 —ジ第 3級プチルーヒ ドロ キシフヱニル) 一プロ ピオニルォキシメ チル〕 メ タ ン (化合物 B ) を添加、 充分に混合し、 実験例 3 と同様にし、 脆化するま での時間を測定した。 この結果を第 5表に示す。

本発明化合物を舍む各種有機ホスファ ィ ト化合物の耐加水分 解性を 4 0て、 相対湿度 7 5 %の条件下でその重量変化を経時 的に測定することにより比較した。 その結果を第 6表に示す。

—ジ第 3級ブチルフヱニルホスフア イ ト) 〕 以下実験例 1〜 6に示したように、 本発明化合物が極めてバ ランスのとれた酸化防止剤であることを述べてきた。
従来ホスフア イ ト系酸化防止剤に関しては、 「ポリ マーの着 色を防止し、 またそれ自身が酸化されホスフェー トになり、 ポ リ マーの自動酸化(Au tox i da t i on)に寄与するハイ ドロパ一ォキ サイ ドを不活性な化合物に分解する。 その他、 ホスフア イ ト系 酸化防止剤の長所と して、 一次酸化防止剤であるフ ノ ール系 酸化防止剤が酸化され、 キノ ン構造をとる こ とにより、 着色す るこ とを防ぐ役割がある。 また一方欠点と して、 その物自体の 加水分解性がある。 」 と言われてきている。 これらの代表例と して ト リ スノ ニルフヱニルホスフ ア イ ト (化合物 C ) 、 サイ ク リ ッ クネオペンタ ンテ ト ライ ルビス (ォク タデシルホスフア イ ト) (化合物 D ) 、 サイ ク リ ッ クネオペンタ ンテ ト ライ ルビス ( 2 , 4 —ジー第 3級プチルフヱニルホスフア イ ト) (化合物 E ) があり、 これらは着色防止性能、 加工安定性改良の効果を 示すものの、 実験例 6で示したよう に加水分解しゃすい化合物 である。
この加水分解性を改善したホスフア イ ト と して代表的な化合 物として ト リ ス ( 2 , 4 —ジ一第 3級ブチルフエニル) ホスフ ア イ ト (化合物 A ) があげられる。
実験例 6 の結果から明らかなよう に、 本発明化合物およびそ の ト リ ス体である、 製造例で示した化合物は、 ト リ ス ( 2 , 4 —ジ一第 3級ブチルフエニル) ホスフア イ ト と同等もし く はそ れ以上の耐加水分解性を示す有用な化合物である。 そこで、 こ れら加水分解性の改善されたホスフア イ ト化合物についての加 ェ安定性能および着色防止性能について実験例 1 〜 2 により比 較してみた。 すなわち、 実験例 1 はホスファ ィ ト化合物単品で
の性能比較、 実験例 2 はホスフ ア イ ト化合物とフユ ノ ール系化 合物との併用等の性能比較を行ったものであるが、 実験例 1 で は化合物 Aは単品使用の際加工安定性がな く、 本発明化合物は 単品使用でも充分加工安定性能があることが判明した。 化合物 Aについては、 この単品使用等の効力不足を補うため、 米国特 許第 4 1 8 7 2 1 2号明細書に示されるようにフ ヱノール系酸 化防止剤との併用により加工安定性を改良する処方が開発され たが、 実験例 2 に示す通り、 化合物 Aは着色防止性能が不充分 であり、 しかも製造例 1、 2で示す化合物についても着色防止 性能が損なわれてしまう ことは明らかである。
一方、 本発明化合物は製造例 1、 2で示す化合物と極めて近 い構造を有するにも拘わらず、 驚くべきことに耐加水分解性と 同時に着色防止性能をも兼ね備えていることは明らかである。 次に本発明者らは、 実験例 3〜5に示す通りホスフア イ ト化 合物の耐熱性能を比較した。 実験例 3では、 本発明化合物が単 品で、 他の化合物に比し飛躍的にポリマーの耐熱性能を向上さ せることを示し、 実験例 4、 実験例 5では種々の併用系でその 耐熱性能が向上することが見出された。
以上述べてきたように従来のホスフアイ ト化合物は、 着色防 止性能、 加工安定性能は保有するが、 加水分解し易いとの欠点 を有していたり、 逆に耐加水分解性があり しかもフ ユノ ール系 と併用すれば加工安定性も保有し得るが着色防止性能が劣ると の欠点を有しているのに対し、 本発明化合物は着色防止性能、 加工安定性、 耐加水分解性、 さらにポリマーの耐熱性能を 1¾上 させるというバランスのとれた化合物であり、 その上他の添加
剤との併用系で性能が更に向上するという特徴を有している。 本発明を上述の明細書およびそれに包含される実施例により 十分に説明したが、 これらは本発明の精神と範囲に反しない限 り種々に変更、 修飾する こ とができ る。

1 . 一般式
請
(式中、 R 1 は炭素数 1〜 2 2個のアルキル基を示す。 ) により表わされるホスフア イ ト化合物。

2 . 請求の範囲第 1項記載のホスフア イ ト化合物 0. 0 1〜 5重 量%を舍有することを特徴とする安定化された有機材料。
3 . 請求の範囲第 1項記載のホスフア囲イ ト化合物および当該ホ スフア イ ト化合物に対し、 0. 1〜 1 5重量倍のヒ ンダー ドフヱ ノール系化合物を舍有することを特徴とする安定化された有機 材料。
4 . 請求の範囲第 1項記載のホスフアイ ト化合物および当該ホ スフアイ ト化合物に対し、 0. ;!〜 1 5重量倍の光安定剤を舍有 することを特徴とする安定化された有機材料。
5 . 光安定剤がベンゾ ト リアゾ一ル系紫外線吸収剤である請求 の範囲第 4項記載の有機材料。
6 . 光安定剤が 2 , 2 , 6 , 6 —テ トラメ チルピペリ ジン系化 合物である請求の範囲第 4項記載の有機材料。
7 . 請求の範囲第 1項記載のホスフアイ ト化合物および当該ホ スフアイ ト化合物に対し、 0. 1〜 1 5重量倍のジラウ リ ルチオ ジプロビオネ一ト、 ジミ リ スチルチオジプロ ピオネー ト、 ジス テアリルチオジブ口 ピオネー トおよびペンタエリ ス リ トールテ ト ラキス 一ラウ リルチオプロピオネー ト) から選ばれるチ
オアルカ ン酸エステル化合物を舍有する こ とを特徴とする安定 化された有機材料。
