Definitions
- the invention relates to a textile fabric according to the preamble of claim 1, as well as a method for its production according to the preamble of claim 14 and a warp knitting machine for carrying out the method according to the preamble of claim 18.
- the object of the invention is to create a new type of textile fabric with a new type of pattern, and to specify a method and a warp knitting machine for its production.
- the object is achieved by:
- the novel textile fabric is characterized by a particularly pronounced pattern, whereby patterning should be understood in the most general sense and should also include technical aspects.
- the pattern thread can be made relatively thick and form eyelets that can be used, for example, for fastening, as is the case with curtain tapes for fastening gliders and rollers.
- the pattern thread can have a wide variety of colors and can be laid out in a wide variety of shapes, such as for example figures, picots, fringes, etc. It is also possible to arrange several different colored pattern threads.
- Such a textile fabric has a smooth surface on the side facing away from the pattern, so that a connection to another structure, for example a piece of clothing, is simpler and gentler for this. Wearing such a flat image on a person's body is also more pleasant.
- the surface can be made porous and still have a transverse stiffness by inserting additional weft threads. When stretching, the fabric maintains its width.
- auxiliary warp threads are arranged within the base fabric.
- the stitch stitches of the auxiliary warp threads can be adjacent according to claim 6 or spaced apart according to claim 7. In the latter case, there is greater stability in the attachment of the pattern thread to the basic knitted fabric. If a free laying of the pattern thread on the base fabric is undesirable, so many auxiliary warp threads can be arranged that the entire width of the pattern is covered.
- the pattern thread lies partially freely against the basic knitted fabric, an embodiment according to claim 8, which also enables an embodiment according to claim 9, to be particularly advantageous.
- the pattern thread can be tied to each row of stitches, but an embodiment according to claim 10 is advantageous, in which case the pattern thread is exposed between adjacent connections over one or more rows of stitches.
- the pattern thread can be a non-stretchable thread or an elastic thread according to claim 11.
- the thickness of the pattern thread can correspond to that of the threads of the basic knitted fabric or the auxiliary warp threads.
- an embodiment according to claim 12 is advantageous.
- a thicker pattern thread not only favors pattern formation, but also allows the pattern to be given a technical meaning.
- the pattern thread can be placed in fringes or loops protrude to the side of the basic fabric and serve to fasten hooks and eyes, as is the case for curtain tapes, for example.
- Claim 14 contains a particularly simple method and claim 18 a particularly simple warp knitting machine for producing the textile fabric.
- the warp knitting machine can expediently be further developed according to claim 19 if exposed loops or fringes are to be formed.
- An embodiment according to claim 20 is also expedient.
- Figure 1 shows a first textile fabric in the cutout
- Figure 2 shows a second textile fabric in the cutout
- Figure 3 shows a third textile fabric in the cutout
- Figure 4 shows a fourth textile fabric in the detail
- Figure 5 shows the knitting area of a warp knitting machine in the phase after knitting off the stitches, in a side view and in a schematic representation
- FIG. 1 shows a textile fabric, which has a basic knitted fabric 2, which is formed from individual wales 4, which consist of warp threads 6.
- the wales 4 are connected to one another by wefts 8 of a weft thread 10.
- the auxiliary warp threads 14 are knitted together with a warp thread 6 to the wales 4, the pattern thread 12 running between the warp thread 6 and the auxiliary warp thread 14.
- the wales of the auxiliary warp threads 14 are arranged at a distance from one another, which in the example shown is 3 wales 4.
- the pattern thread 12 is not integrated on each stitch row 16, but in the example shown only on the stitch rows 16 1 , 16 2 , then
- the pattern thread 12 runs exposed.
- the pattern thread runs in a zigzag pattern on the base fabric.
- FIG. 2 shows a further exemplary embodiment of a flat structure which essentially corresponds to that of FIG. 1, so that the same parts are provided with the same reference symbols.
- the auxiliary warp threads are resp. whose wales 14a arranged side by side sweeping.
- the pattern thread 12a is laid in such a way that it forms fringes 18 projecting laterally beyond the basic knitted fabric 2.
- the piercers 20 indicated in FIG. 2 are required, which are moved into the movement area of the pattern thread 12a when the pattern thread 12a is laterally deflected and prevent the pattern thread from being retracted when it is further laid.
- a further basic knitted fabric can also be connected analogously (not shown) with the sample thread which is provided above.
- FIG. 3 shows another textile fabric with a basic knitted fabric which has warp threads 6 knitted into wale 4, which are connected by wefts 8 of a weft thread.
- This flat structure contains three pattern threads 12b, 12c, 12d arranged in tracks 21a, 21b, 21c, each of which runs over three wales of the warp threads 6.
- the head ends of the zigzag pattern threads are each connected to the basic knitted fabric by means of an auxiliary warp thread 14c, 14d, the auxiliary warp threads being knitted together with a warp thread 6 to form wales 4a, 4b.
- the head ends of the loops of the pattern threads 12b, 12c, 12d of adjacent webs 21a, 21b and 21b, 21c are fastened together to the basic knitted fabric by means of an auxiliary warp thread 14d on the middle wales 4b.
- the Pattern threads 12b, 12c, 12d can have different colors, whereby, for example, a flat structure is formed with three different color paths.
- FIG. 4 shows a flat textile structure which corresponds to that of FIG. 2, but the fringed pattern thread 12a is fastened to the basic knitted fabric by means of auxiliary warp threads 14e, which are knitted into wales 4c, which are independent of the wales of the warp threads 6 and only Include the pattern thread 12a and the weft thread 10 of the basic knitted fabric.
- FIGS. 5 and 6 show the knitting area of a warp knitting machine for producing the textile fabric mentioned above.
- the warp knitting machine contains a knock-over board 22 in which reciprocating knitting needles 24, for example crochet hooks, are guided.
- FIG. 5 shows the starting position in which the knitting needles 24 are shown in the retracted position after the stitches have been cast off.
- the finished fabric 26 is pulled down by means of a pull-off device 27.
- a weft thread guide 28 is assigned to the knitting needles, which is arranged on a weft laying rod 30 and serves to feed the weft thread 10.
- warp thread guides 32 which are arranged on a warp guide rail 34 and feed the warp threads 6 to the knitting needles 24.
- the basic fabric can be produced with these devices.
- Auxiliary warp thread guides 36 which are arranged on an auxiliary chain laying bar 38, serve to pattern the basic knitted fabric.
- the auxiliary warp thread guides 36 are arranged at the front, ie on the side of the warp thread guides 32 that faces away from the weft thread guide 28.
- the pattern thread guide 40 is arranged, which is attached to a pattern thread lying 42.
- a piercer 20 which is fastened to a corresponding guide rod 44 and can be pivoted into the track of the laterally deflected pattern thread 12a.
- the piercer 20 can be arranged outside the end of the knitting needle row between the weft thread guide 28 and the warp thread guide 32.
- the flat image is produced in such a way that after the stitches have been knocked off, as shown in FIG. 5, the weft thread 10 and the pattern thread guide 40 are used to lay the weft thread 10 and the pattern thread 12a in the desired manner.
- the piercer 20 ensures that the pattern thread 12a is not pulled smooth but forms a fringe or loop.
- the knitting needles 24 are extended into the position shown in FIG. 6 and the warp thread 6 is placed over the knitting needles 24 by means of the warp thread guide 32 and the auxiliary warp thread 14 by means of the auxiliary warp thread guide 36.
- the warp threads 6 and auxiliary warp threads 14 picked up by the knitting needle are then pulled through the stitch loops 46 located on the needle shaft and the latter knocked off.
- warp thread 8 weft 10 weft thread 12 pattern thread 12a pattern thread 12b pattern thread 12c pattern thread 12d pattern thread 14 auxiliary warp thread 14a auxiliary warp thread 14b auxiliary warp thread 14c auxiliary warp thread 14d auxiliary warp thread 16 row of stitches
