Definitions

  • the invention relates to a textile fabric according to the preamble of claim 1, as well as a method for its production according to the preamble of claim 14 and a warp knitting machine for carrying out the method according to the preamble of claim 18.
  • the object of the invention is to create a new type of textile fabric with a new type of pattern, and to specify a method and a warp knitting machine for its production.
  • the object is achieved by:
  • the novel textile fabric is characterized by a particularly pronounced pattern, whereby patterning should be understood in the most general sense and should also include technical aspects.
  • the pattern thread can be made relatively thick and form eyelets that can be used, for example, for fastening, as is the case with curtain tapes for fastening gliders and rollers.
  • the pattern thread can have a wide variety of colors and can be laid out in a wide variety of shapes, such as for example figures, picots, fringes, etc. It is also possible to arrange several different colored pattern threads.
  • Such a textile fabric has a smooth surface on the side facing away from the pattern, so that a connection to another structure, for example a piece of clothing, is simpler and gentler for this. Wearing such a flat image on a person's body is also more pleasant.
  • the surface can be made porous and still have a transverse stiffness by inserting additional weft threads. When stretching, the fabric maintains its width.
  • auxiliary warp threads are arranged within the base fabric.
  • the stitch stitches of the auxiliary warp threads can be adjacent according to claim 6 or spaced apart according to claim 7. In the latter case, there is greater stability in the attachment of the pattern thread to the basic knitted fabric. If a free laying of the pattern thread on the base fabric is undesirable, so many auxiliary warp threads can be arranged that the entire width of the pattern is covered.
  • the pattern thread lies partially freely against the basic knitted fabric, an embodiment according to claim 8, which also enables an embodiment according to claim 9, to be particularly advantageous.
  • the pattern thread can be tied to each row of stitches, but an embodiment according to claim 10 is advantageous, in which case the pattern thread is exposed between adjacent connections over one or more rows of stitches.
  • the pattern thread can be a non-stretchable thread or an elastic thread according to claim 11.
  • the thickness of the pattern thread can correspond to that of the threads of the basic knitted fabric or the auxiliary warp threads.
  • an embodiment according to claim 12 is advantageous.
  • a thicker pattern thread not only favors pattern formation, but also allows the pattern to be given a technical meaning.
  • the pattern thread can be placed in fringes or loops protrude to the side of the basic fabric and serve to fasten hooks and eyes, as is the case for curtain tapes, for example.
  • Claim 14 contains a particularly simple method and claim 18 a particularly simple warp knitting machine for producing the textile fabric.
  • the warp knitting machine can expediently be further developed according to claim 19 if exposed loops or fringes are to be formed.
  • An embodiment according to claim 20 is also expedient.
