Abstract

Le dispositif comporte un silent-bloc (6) reliant les extremites avant des deux bras (2) et (3) de la bome (1). Les extremites arriere des bras (2) et (3) sont reliees par une garniture de poupe (5). Le silent-bloc (6) presente des surfaces (10, 11) qui, lors de la fixation de la bome au mat (7), sont adjacentes a la partie du mat (7) tournee vers la ralingue de chute (12) avant de la voile. La voile (4) est tendue librement entre les bras (2) et (3) grace a une ecoute d'arrimage (9) reliant le point d'ecoute (8) de la voile a la garniture de poupe (5). Sous l'effet des forces de traction exercees sur la voile (4) par l'ecoute d'arrimage (9), les surfaces (10) et (11) sont pressees contre la partie du mat (7) tournee vers la ralingue de chute avant de la voile (4). La bome (1) est ainsi retenue directement au mat (7) par la pression de la voile, sans autres moyens de liaison. Avantageusement, on prevoit sur le mat (7) un revetement augmentant la force de frottement ou des nervures de renforcement pour reduire le risque de glissement.
