Abstract
Un proceso mejorado para producir en forma continua productos de chicle. Una máquina de extrusión continua se utiliza preferentemente con un mecanismo mezclador de dos tornillos rotantes. El ingrediente de azúcar del producto de chicle se divide en dos porciones para mejorar la textura del producto final. Una porción se agrega en el extremo corriente arriba inicial del proceso de extrusión, mientras que la otra porción se agrega después que la mayor parte de los demás ingredientes se han incluido en la masa del chicle. Los ingredientes saborizantes también se pueden dividir en dos porciones, una porción introducida en el proceso de extrusión corriente arriba del material de azúcar y la otra porción introducida corriente abajo de los demás ingredientes.
