DESIGN FOR COOKING-RANGES.
Specification forming part of Dcsign No. 8,009, dated January 19, 1675; application filed January 2, 1875. [Term of Patent 7 years] To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, LUTHER W. HARWOOD, of the city of Troy, in the county of ltensselaer and State of N ew York, have invented and produced a new and original ornamental Design for Cooking-Ranges, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying print, wood-cut, or engraving of a cooking-mnge which embodies l-ny said new design.
One part of this invention consists of the design for the oven-door A, composed of the central oblong tablet B, having a pitted or pebbled surface, with straight parallel sides and ends, and concave corners c, with a surrounding bead, (I, the plain, oblong, rectangular surface E around the tablet B, the inner ornamental border F, formed by the inner bead y, outer head It, and intervening series of pointed ornaments i, the concave molding-like surface J, and the outer ornamented border K, formed by the outer corrugated molding l, inner series of pointed ornamcntsm, and intermediate heads a, all shaped and arranged together so as to appear substantially as represented in the aforesaid cut.
Another part consists of the design for the closet-door O, composed of the oblong central tablet I, having a pitted surface with straight parallel sides and ends, and concave corners q, and a surrounding bead, d, the plain, oblong, rectangular surface R around the tablet P, the pendent ornaments S S, each formed by a ring, t, interior drops a, bottom drops 11, and suspension-cords w on the plain surface R, the inner ornamental border F, the concave surface J, and the outer ornamental border K, all shaped and arranged together substantially as shown in the aforesaid engravin Another part consists of the design for the doors X, Y, and Z, or either of them, as composed of the central, plain, rectangular panelsurface 0, having thereon the pendent orna ment D, formed by the ring an, inside drops I), and suspension-cords e, the inner ornamental border F, the concave surface J, and the outer ornamental border K, all shaped and arranged together substantially as shown in the aforesaid print.
I do not herein claim the design for the inner border F, concave surface J, and outer border K, as shown in the aforesaid print or engraving.
What 1 claim as my invention is-- 1. The design for the ovcndoor A,eo1nposed of the oblong tablet B, having a pitted surface, curved corners c, and surrounding head 11, the plain, oblong, rectangular surface E, inner ornamental border F, concave surface J, and outer ornamental border K, all formed, shaped, and disposed together substantially as shown and described.
2. The design for the closet-door 0, CO1- posed of the oblong pitted tablet l, with concave corners q, and surrounding head (I, the plain, oblong, rectangular surface R, having thereon the pendants S S, the inner ornamental border F, concave surface J, and outer ornamental border K, all formed, shaped, and arranged together substantially as described and shown.
The design for the doors X, Y, and Z, composed of the central, plain, rectangular surface (1, having thereon the pendent ornament D, the inner ornamental border F, the concave surface J, and the outer ornamental border K, all formed, shaped, and combined as shown and described.
