UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
HENRY BERGER, OF NEWT YORK, N. Y.
DESIGN FOR CENTER-PIECE.
Specification forming part of Design No. 7,354, dated April 7, 1874; application ilcd March 27, 1874. [Term of Patent 14 years] To all whom it may concern le it known that I, HENRY BERGER, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new and original Design for Gen ter-Piece; and I do hereby declare the following` to be a fnll, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable those skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming a part of this specification, which drawing' shows a face View of my design.
This invention consists in the design of a central button surrounded by a circular ornamental collar, outside of which are sea-shells and a bead of alternate segments and angles,
which is inclosed by a circular rim of alternate rams-horn escutcheons and scrolls.
In the drawing, the letter A designates the central button of my design, which is 0f a circular shape, and is ornamented with arrow heads a'. Encircling this but-ton is a collar, B, which is ornalnented with scallops and dcpressicns, as shown. C are sea-shells located around the collar B, and which are surrounded by a bead of alternate segments, l), and angles or rays E. Opposite the angles E, in the riln of the design, are ranisfliorn csentcheons F, While opposite thc seginenis D are scrolls G, supporting a leaf, b, in a spread condition. Said escntcheons and scrolls are interspersed with ornamental trnccry or scrollwvork c, the Whole being of a circular shape or outline.
That I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
1. The combination of the shells C and eol lar B with the central button A, as shown and described.
2. The escntcheons F and scrolls G, in coinbination with the bead D E, shells C, collar B, and central button A, as shown and specified.
