DESIGN FOR CENTER-PIECE.
Specification forming part of Design No. 7,359, dated April 7, 1874 application filed March 27, 1874. [Term of Patent 14 years] To all 'whom it 'may concern:
Beit known that I, HENRY BERGER, ot' the city, county, and State of N ew York, have iuventcd a new and original Design for Centerliece; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description there ot', which will enable those skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming part of this specication, which drawing shows a face View ot' my design.
This invention relates to the design of a central button surrounded by a series of radiating foils, inclosing alternate clusters of pearls and spear-heads, and which are inclosed by a square bead, the corners of which are broken and ornamented by escuteheons, between which are scrolls supporting a spread leaf.
In the drawing, the letter A designates the central button of my design, which is ornamented by a string, a, of pearls. Outside of this button are bunches or clusters b of pearls, and spear-heads c, which alternate with each other, and are contained Within foils or seg ments B. These foils are inclosed by a bend or rim, C, having broken corners or angles, which are ornainented by escntcheons D the Whole being of a square shape or outline. iilidwaybetween each two of the corners or escntehcons D is a twist or scroll, E, on which rests a leaf, b, in a spread condition.
Vhat I cla-iin as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
1. The combination of the circular series ot' foils B with the central button A, as shown and speoied.
2. The combination of the square bead C, escutcheon D, and scrolls E with the circular series of foils B and central button A, as shown and described.
