DESIGN FOR A DlVAN-FRAME.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 36.202, dated January 27, 1903.
Application filed December 26, 1902. Serial No. 138,749- Term of patent 3i years.
To a]! whom it 'IH/(bf/ concern.-
Be it known that I, DE WATT PEPPER, a citizen of the United States, residing at New Milford, in the county of Litchfield and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Divan-Frame; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact de scription of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
The accompanying drawing shows a front elevation of my new design.
As shown in the drawing, the leading or material features of my design consist of a perfectly plain horizontally-disposed hack rail 1, perfectly plain horizontally-disposed side rails 2, the front columns 3 at the ends of the divan, upon which columns the rails 2 rest, said columns having at their upper ends acanthus-like ornamentations 4, vertically disposed and extending in opposite directions, the single leaf like ornamentations 5, vertically disposed above the ornamenta tions 4, said columns throughout their main lengths being rounded in cross-section, and the feet 6, circular in vertical section, the curvature of said feet extending in a plane at right angles to the plane of the curvature of the body portions of the columns 3.
Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
The ornamental design for a divan-frame, as herein shown and described.
