UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE.
HENRY B. SARGENT, OF NEW HAVEN, CONNECTICUT, ASSIGNOR TO SARGENT AND COMPANY, OF SAME PLACE.
DESIGN FOR A DOOR-CHECK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,180, dated March 5, 1901.
Application filed March 22, 1900. berial No. 9,807. Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom, it Ina/y concern.-
Be it known that I, HENRY B. SARGENT, of the city and county of New Haven, State of Connecticut, have invented a new and original Design for a Door-Check, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings, forming part thereof, and in which- Figure 1 is a front elevation of a door-check having my new design; Fig. 2, a bottom view, and Fig. 3 a perspective view, of the same.
In all the figures similar letters of reference represent like parts.
As shown by the accompanying drawings, the leading or essential feature of my design consists in a horizontal cylindrical portion A, from which project on the same side attaching plates or feet B and a vertically-extending offset C. The offset C projects above and below the cylindrical portion A, Figs. 1 and 3, and, as maybe seen in the bottom view, Fig. 2, is located at one side of the axial line of the horizontal cylindrical portion A. The ends D of the offset C are circular when viewed from top or bottom, and its sides E are concave and curve from the circular ends D to the horizontal portion A.
Having described my invention, what I claim, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, 1s
The design for a door-check, as herein shown and described.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand, in the presence of two subscribing witnesses, this 20th day of March, 1900.
HENRY B. SARGENT.
