DESIGN FOR SADDLE-CUPS.
Specification forming part of Design No. 8,948, dated February 1, 1876; application filed November 23, 1875. [Term of Patent 14 years] To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, Moses SEWARD, of New Haven, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented a new Design for Saddle-Clips; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in connection with the accompanying drawings and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawings constitute part of this specification, and represent, in-

This invention relates to a design for the article known to the trade as saddle-clipthat is, the clip by which the spring-saddle of a carriage is secured to the axle; and the invention consists in a right-angular clip, the transverse section of which shows a flat cen tral rib with righ t-angular edges, with the surface between the rib and the edges concave, as more fully hereinafter described.
