DESIGN FOR CATTLE-HORN KNOBS.

Specification forming part of Design No. 5,136, dated July 25, 1871.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, HENRY J. FRANTZ, of Metamora, in the county of Woodford and in the State of Illinois, have invented a new and Improved Design for Knobs for the Horns 0f Oattle; and do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference being had to the annexed drawing making a part of this specitication, in which like letters of reference refer to like parts, and in which- Figure l represents a perspective view, showing the top end of the knob; Fig. 2, a perspective view, showing the bottom end of the same; and Fig. 8, a view of all the sides of the knob, showing the initial letters or characters as they appear on each side.

The design of this invention consists in forming, on cattle-horn knobs of the ordinary construction, a letter or the initial of the name of the owner of the animal, so as to indicate some distinguishingmark by which the animal may be clearly identified.

The accompanying drawing will indicate fully the nature of this design without further description.

Having thus fully described my invention, wh at I claim therein as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-
