IMPROVEMENT IN TRIMNIINGS.

137,344, dated April 1, 1873; application le J aunary 20, 1873.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, ORANGE M. CHAMBER- LAIN, of the city, county, and State of New York, have invented a new Article of Mannfactnre in Plaiting; and I do hereby declare that the following is avfull, clear, and exact description thereof, which will enable others skilled in the art to make and use the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming part of this specification.
The nature of my invention relates to a new article of manufacture; and consists of a bias box-plait, formed of a single or double piece of cloth, either with a heading or binding, or without it, and is formed by making the ordinary box-plait at an angle to the edge ofthe cloth, instead of in line with it, asis the case with the ordinary box-plait.
