DESIGN FOR AN END-GATE EXTENSION.
SPECIFIGATION forming part of Design No. 33,688, dated. December 1 1, 1900.
Application filed November 10, 1900. Serial No. 36,139- Term of patent 14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Ile it known that we, HENRY L. LITCHFIELD and EDGAR C. LITCHFIELD, citizens of the Jnited States, residing at \Vebster City, in he county of Hamilton and State of Iowa, nave produced a new and original Design for an End-Gate Extension, of which the followin; is a specification.
This invention relates toa design for an end gate extension, and the essential feature resides in the design disclosed by the accompanying drawings, wherein- Figure l is a perspective view of the endgale, showing the design and looking toward the bottom thereof. Fig. 2 is a sectional side elevation of the same.
The numeral 1 designates a bottom member having one side edge formed with a curved bevel 2, and against the under side of the said bottom member is a rectangular strip 3, projecting beyond the edge thereof opposite that having the curved bevel. The terminals of the strip are extended beyond the planes of the ends of the bottom member, and inward from the said terminals are transverse projections 4. From the bottom member rise opposite sides 5, each having an angular extension 6 and the rear edges '7 inclined regularly from the lower portions of the same upwardly toward the top of the sides and gradually reduce the width of said sides toward their upperextremities. Thesides have outer angular projeotionsb and rounded projections 9 above the latter.
Having, thus described the invention, what is claimed as new is The design foran end-gate extension, herein shown and described.
