DESIGN FOR A SASH-LOCK MEMBER.
5 lapoosa and State of Alabama, have invented nd produced a new and original Design for a Sash-Lock Member, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a new and origi- IO nal design for a sash-lock member; and it has for its object to provide a design of this character which shall be both useful and ornamental.
The leading feature of the design resides I 5 in the flat-sided disk of an elliptical contour with narrow rounded lobes at the ends thereof, said flat-sided disk being provided in one of its longer side portions with an angular U-shaped notch of an outwardly-flaring form 20 and disposed at a point intermediate the end lobes, the disk being further provided with a continuously-milled peripheral edge and at both sides of its center with eccentrically-disposed openings, said openings lying in the 2 5 transverse plane of the angular notch.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective View of a sash-lock member embodying the herein-described design. Fig. 2 is a plan View thereof.
Referring to the drawings, the numeral 1 designates a sash-lock member consisting of a flat-sided disk 2. This disk is of an elliptical shape with rounded narrow end lobes and is provided with a continuouslymilled peripheral edge 3. One of the longer side edges of the disk-body is plain, while the diametrically-opposite side of the disk-body is provided with a reentrant approximately U- shaped angular notch 4 of an outwardly-flaring form and disposed at a point intermediate the narrow end lobes of the ellipse. To com plete the design, the elliptical disk 2 is provided at both sides of its center with eccentrieally-disposed openings 5, disposed in the transverse plane of the angular notch 4.
