DESIGN FOR A PLATE FOR BUCKLES.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,504, dated September 12, 1899.
Application filed August14.1899. Serial No. 727,217. Term ofpatent14 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, MYRON 15. HAMMOND, a citizen ofthe United States,residingat Bridgeport, in the county of Fail-field and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Buckle-Plate; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
Referring to the accompanying drawings, Figure 1 is a plan view of my newly-designed buckle-plate; Fig. 2, a side elevation; and Figs. 3 and 4 are views looking, respectively, from opposite ends of my newlydesigned plate.
Similar numbers of reference denote like parts in the several figures of the drawings.
The essential and leading features of my newly-designed buckle-plate are the tongueshaped element, which extends from the body of the plate at an acute angle thereto, and the hook which terminates the free or outer end of this tongue and extends toward the body portion of the buckle-plate.
1 is the buckle-plate, 2 the tongue-like member which extends at an acute angle from said plate, and 3 is the hook at the end of such member.
I claim- 'lhedesign for a buckle-plate, substantially as shown and described.
