DESIGN FOR A SPRING FOR VEHICLE-WHEELS.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 27,178, dated June 8, 1897.
Application filed April 5, 1397. Serial No. 630,871. Term of patent 1 years.
To all whom it may cmwerm:
Be it known that I, SOPHUS ADOLPH EIER- MANN, a citizen of the United States, residing at Omaha, in the county of Douglas and State of Nebraska, have invented a new and original Design for a Spring for Vehiele-Vheels, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a new and original design for a spring for vehicle-wheels; and it has for its object to provide a design of this character which shall be both useful and ornamental.
The leading feature of the design resides in a narrow flat plate having its opposite terminals lying in parallel planes and bent between sueh terminals to form an intermediate sigmoidally-eurved portion, and segmental portions curved,respectively, from the opposite parallel terminals into said intermediate S or sigmoidally-euwed portion.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of a spring embodying the herein-described design. Fig. 2 is a side view thereof.
Referring to the drawings, the numeral 1 designates a narrow flat plate provided with opposite parallel terminals 2. Between the parallel terminals :3 the plate is bent to form an intermediate sigmoidally-eurved portion 3, and segmental portions 4 curve, respectively, from the opposite terminals 2 into the intermediate S or sigmoidally-curved portion What I claim is lhe design for a spring for vehicle-wheels herein shown and described.
