DESIGN FOR A CARTON-BLANK.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 29,094, dated July' 26, 1898.
Application filed July 2, 1898. Serial No. 685,056. Term of patent 14 years.

Be it known that I, ROBERT J. BARKLEY, of Chanute, in the county of Neosho and State of Kansas, haveinvented and produced a new and original Design for a Carton-Blank, of which the following is a full, clear, and exact description.
Reference is to be had to the accompanying drawing, which represents a plan View of a carton-blank embodying my design.
lhe design consists in the following-described features: a panel a, at each end of which is a rectangular extension I) and on each side of which are two flanking panels, such panels being, respectively, designated 0 and (Z and e and f. The panels d and e, being those directly contiguous to the central panel a, have at each end extensions 6 and d projecting beyond the extensions 1) and having the edges adjacent to the extensions 1) curved away from said extensions. The panel f has slits g, presenting an angular appearance, and the panel 0 has a centerpiece h, the center of which is curved inwardly and merged into the rounded ends of the centerpiece, such rounded ends forining reentrant anglesi with the curved upper edges j of the ends 0 of the panel 0, the outer edge of which has a compound curve. Further, the end extensions e and d have transverse slits e (1 the slits (Z running from the curved edge of the extensions 01, while the slits e run inward from the straight edges of the extensions 6.
I claim- The design for a carton-blank, substantially as herein shown and described.
